Yeah, it happened, but much less regularly. My experience was that most of the vinyl-age folks referred to their records as "albums" (itself a holdover term from a previous format, in this case 78s) which is also perfectly acceptable as a term for CDs, at least IMO, as "album" really means "collection of songs." But carts are definitely not tapes. If memory serves, when I was growing up, they were just "games." There were "Intellivision games", "Atari games", "Odyssey games", "computer games" and "arcade games." Collectively, they were all "video games." Except for Pong. Pong was always called simply Pong.

When I worked at a used CD store, folks used to come in often asking for "the latest Mariah Carey" tape (or whatever.) When I'd say, "we only sell CDs," they always looked at me like I was a fool and said something like, "yeah, that's what I want," as if somehow it was my fault they didn't know what words mean. (Of course, my fave dumb customer question of all time came from a young lady who asked me how the CDs were arranged -- "Alphabetically by artist," I told her. "Oh," she said with a thoughtful look on her face, "so is Phil Collins under P or F?")

Trade list added. Obviously, I'm looking for a lot more than just those, but it's a nice start towards filling in some of the more glaring gaps.

Hey all! Long time, no see... Great to be back -- wish I had a better score to post for my triumphant return, however... 99-86 for a measly score of 13. So... what's new around the HSC clubhouse?

They'd go slower if you'd quit making stuff I want. Don't stop, of course...

When I first saw this thread, I checked my feedback and it had not changed. Now, a mere few hours later, it has skyrocketed upward and, even more to my liking, my four negatives no longer show up, as they are many years old, so my overall rating is now 100%! Woo-hoo!

I've never bought anything from them. I almost did, but was put off by their response to my question.

Let me be the first to say "Congrat-u-fuckin-lations!" Very impressive. I've hit a wall. Pretty much every game I come close to my previously posted score but choke just before breaking it. Nice pick, though -- I definitely like this game better after this week than I thought I did going in. What more can we ask from HSC club?

37,500 and rising... Went back and played this on the easy setting and annihilated my previous high score. [ Much easier. But it starts soooooo sloooooow!

Second attempt: 27,800 I was worried about getting left in the dust again this week, but maybe not...

10,200 for my first attempt. I've always been kinda torn about this game... it could've been so much better. But man, Difficulty A is tough! At Difficulty A!?! Wow!It's pretty early in the week to be so impressed... that's better than my personal high score on the easy variation!

234,800 - everything just went my way this whole game... and then I lost 6 guys in one board trying to get back to the top. Argh! Great game!

97,700 for my first entry. I should do better, but I ain't gonna come anywhere near some of these scores, particularly yours, StanJr. Wow!

18,390 seems to be the best I can do. Not a big fan of this one, but I sure am impressed with all those patch-worthy scores!

3353 for my first attempt.

I managed a 670 once. I have absolutely no idea what I did to achieve that, as I never replicated the feat. Still, even up through today, I routinely died on the first few levels as they are... so... very... slow...
