  1. Two carts left in this batch, as things look right now there's probably not going to be any more of these, for the rest of the year at least. These two last (?) carts will have my new menu which I have tried to keep the original look for, reason for making it was to easier add games as the current menu was pretty much full. While writing it I also added in menu control with console keys, longer jump, automatic centering of the text and a second line for the title. I haven't yet added the Easter Eggs that Sean Riddle has put in the menu used in the first 148 Multi-Carts, there's a clue in the eprom if you can't find it, if you are able to dump it - and must find it... Maybe I'll put a new one in there. So console keys: reset - still reset of course 1 - move down a notch in menu 2 - move up 3 - move up 5 steps 4 - start Moving hand controller forward or backward will jump five steps in either direction for quicker navigation, push/pull/twists all start the selected game. Here's how it looks:
  2. Just wanted to say I forgot to update, all orders up to and including #148 were shipped earlier this week. @HoshiChori I have some labels and boxes, send me a PM with a list of what you need. If you like I can make copies of the 23 and 26 instructions - at least you have place holders in your album. I could actually reproduce just about any of the carts if needed - but we do want the originals, don't we? If you need to read instructions I have all of them in text form on my web page, click link below.
  3. Hey guys, haven't forgotten about you, I just have been busy with the family, will most likely ship some this week.
  4. Hey there. Adding 2k of RAM (like Pac-Man and the Multi-Cart has) would cost less than $5 more per cartridge than what was spent on the current Kevin vs Tomatoes. There's more information about the physical K. vs T. cart in the Multi-Cart thread.
  5. Good work, if you give it up for good it would be nice if you could share the details if someone wants to build one in two years or so - or perhaps if someone else wants to make a batch for the electronically impaired.
  6. The "beauty marks" of some of my donor shells were a bit too horrible, so I decided to buy a few new cartridges instead of shipping ugly carts to buyers. If someone gladly takes a poor looking shell, I'd be happy to knock off $12 off the price for new buyers from today, I don't mind sending a photo showing the beauty marks before you decide. Buyers from #144 may need to wait a bit extra depending on the shipping time of the new donor cartridges. I did get a quite nice 3D print in PLA from Richard Hutchinson, so it's very possible to print a shell, I'm not too keen on the layered look and I'm too lazy to do anything about it (sanding, painting) but some of you might think it looks fine and it would be possible to print in various colors. I don't have a 3D printer myself, I don't think Richard is up for printing loads of them, probably also takes many hours, shipping from the UK is another negative detail. I could perhaps find as skilled people here in Sweden. It's a possibility, should the original carts be getting too expensive or if it's requested to have a black, white, blue, red, green, glow in the dark (or whatever) cartridge. Printing them professionally is not really an option currently, it's over $60 per cartridge, the one I bought from Shapeways a while ago was brittle (easily breaks if you drop it) and very light weight, nothing like the original regarding weight and durability.
  7. FYI: Kevin vs Tomatoes PCB:s are ready to ship, will do that no later than friday. Will update the first message in this thread regarding the Multi-Carts.
  8. Kevin vs Tomates is (will be soon) a standalone cartridge, the game is also included on the current multicart. As a standalone it's sold out, not sure if any more are going to be made. I have most of the current batch of Multi-Carts waiting to be sold.
  9. TPR: Most information is on the first page, I should perhaps update it with a list of all the programs on the cartridge... I take payments in advance as per information on the first page, I have had so many people said they want one and when ready to ship they "don't have the money right now" or life has come in between or whatever. Haven't had time to calculate the proper price yet so if you want one asap, take the opportunity to get one now for $99 (shipping included).
  10. Sunnyvale CA, yes you're on the list. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/149932-fs-fairchild-system-channel-f-multi-cart-pre-order-now/page-24 I will ship the KvsT-boards to the US for cases and labels when done, I only signed up to make the boards. Don't think it's going to be named Videocart #28, it's not on the images for the labels I have seen. You can call it the 28th Videocart if you want to.
  11. PCB:a have arrived, both for Kevin vs Tomatoes as well as Multi-Carts. I noticed that the memory interface chips for Kevin vs Tomatoes hasn't turned up yet but I'll use the ones I already have as Multi-Cart sales are a little less hectic right now - and I hope they'll turn up eventually or the whole thing will be a huge loss... Anyway, will start building today, will make an initial cart of KvsT to make sure everything works before building all of them. I'm not expecting any problems, game was tested a lot before and all issues (differences between emulation and real machine mostly) discovered have been fixed. So all is good, be sure to send thanks to Nordic company PostNord for their new postal rules that has delayed the whole thing about a month... I will update the Multi-Cart price with a proper one later this weekend (actual price of parts etc), until then I'll allow purchases at the current pre-purchase price. If you missed the original small run of Kevin vs Tomatoes it's now also included in the Multi-Cart. Have a nice weekend!
  12. I have purchased all needed parts to cover the current orders, will get the rest on the next order. The waiting starts...
  13. The problem is that the joystick potentiometer only uses about 1/3 of the movement that a usual potentiometer has, so if you put a normal pot in there you'll only be able to change the resistance between something like 3.3k and 6.6k and not between (basically) 0k and 10k. So you either need to find one with the same amount of degrees of turning or hack one so that you have this 0-10k in the used area. If you find a good value it's enough to just paint the ends with some conductive paint to fix it. Probably something in the area of 30k or above could work. I think cutting the carbon layer already there and glue back a fresh piece is a nice and quick fix if you have the materials, a drop in replacement would be very nice though.
  14. Two pre-payments in. We've gotten new postal rules in Sweden since 1st of March, which makes it more difficult to dodge tax (mostly) and toll costs. Previously you rarely got any fees on anything below about $30 but new deal is they keep all packages from outside the EU hostage until a $10 fee plus tax (25%) is paid, no matter what the price was on the goods, they initially charge (about) $10. Only way past this is to ask the seller to send items as "gift" and put the value at $0 - which of course prevents insured shipping (and most likely not legal). So, choice is to pay the fee or keep to sellers within EU - which is usually a little more expensive. Due to this I'll either have to wait until the end of the month (pay-day) unless we have a third volunteer pre-payer before that. Just FYI. I'll start ordering the "slow parts" right away. Buying PCB:s outside EU is still worth the fee.
  15. I have gotten the first pre-payment for the new Multi-Cart batch, need at least one more before I can purchase needed parts. If you're thinking about it, save some money and get it now for the reduced price.
  16. I'm starting a new batch, pre-purchase price is $99, price will be adjusted up when all parts have been received - so take the opportunity and buy one now to save about $20 (estimated). See first post for details.
  17. That will be fine, I think I can cover the rest if I get a second pre-payment.
  18. "K-Rod 13" and "Iwantgames:)", we can start up a new batch of Multi-Carts right away and just wait for the third person to pay, it's perhaps possible I can get the needed parts for a batch with just two pre-payments, I haven't done the math or checked prices. If you're up for it, see instructions in the first post, pre purchase price is $99.
  19. Possibly, it depends on how many are interested, if I get three orders at $99 a piece I could make a new batch as I have a lot of parts already, just ran out of PCB:s and logic chips for now.
  20. BATCH SOLD OUT Send a PM to atari2600land if you're interested in his game (Killer Snake/s or if it's going to be "Kevin vs Tomatoes"), currently he's not sure enough people are interested enough to make a small batch. I'll gladly help making cart PCB:s.
  21. One left in this batch, or I might put it out for auction... New game included in this one: Killer Snake(s). http://www.atari2600land.com/killersnakes/ It's a nicely done snake game, steer Kevin the snake, eat all tomatoes you can in 99 seconds (roughly), I've gotten 42 so far... There have been discussions about releasing this game on its own cartridge, maybe a survey about this would be a good idea.
