  1. I agree about the value, it's a hard cart to find. The #22 cart sometimes have the #19 code as well, you can change jumpers on it to play the other game. If you just want to play it and not collect it you may get a Multi-Cart cheaper. I'd love to get the Japanese console currently for sale - way too expensive though. http://www.ebay.com/itm/232235094208

  3. You'll be able to reach 64kB at once, ROM and or RAM in cartridge, the built-in 2kB ROM is always in the way.
  4. It's rather advanced, the bottleneck is for updating graphics, writing to the video RAM is a rather slow process if you want to make sure the old consoles will be able to keep up with their slightly slower RAM. The early Luxor machine has slow memory and high CPU, it's running at 2MHz so the delay needed is set by that one. I'm not sure if we ever calculated how many pixels/s or /frame that was possible to get out of it... I think it's mostly a mtter of how much glitching can you take. I'm sure more could be done by more skilled programmers, I just got a few emails from a guy who made a program to squeeze in three virtual voices of music - on the single channel, so there's room for improvement. I'll see if I can arrange a recording of it. It would probably be possible to make quicker games adding look up tables for data in RAM or ROM to make rather advanced "calculations" and so on, if there's people interested in programming for it I'm sure we'll see more fun stuff. Here's a few ideas: 3D maze (wireframe type) - perhaps with enemies. Add a light gun of C64 Gun Stick/NES Zapper style that uses light just to trig a direction... perhaps combined with the one above. Imagine a game like Duck Hunt on a Channel F. Ms Pac-Man - should be doable "Princess Rescue" - maybe moving a single screen at the time Some kind of scrolling platformer would be fun, like that bouncing ball you have to keep bouncing on side scrolling platforms - should be possible. Any game ideas?
  5. It would help a lot, I'd be able to ship yours at least.
  6. All parts are ready, just final assembly left as soon as there's a window of enough time. If family can keep well and work times are normal I'm sure I should be able to have them all shipped before the end of the month.
  7. No updates atm, I have had a hard time sourcing affordable shells - can't really buy single games at $15 and pay shipping for a single cart... I bought a bunch for the Pac-Man carts but many where in terrible condition and I spent hours cleaning up and polishing them to look decent. Will try a little harder, or I just have to buy expensive ones or grab from my own collection and try and re-purchase, having them 3D-printed was quite costly, so not really an alternative at present day. IMHO the home version of 3D printers produce horrible results surface-wise and require a lot of work to smooth out. Something should pop up, it usually does.
  8. All boxes glued, -11 and -15 ready to be packed. Left to do: Attach sticky plastic on top and back labels and cut these out for the 9 carts, print the last four booklets.
  9. All PCB:s are now in a cleaned shell of their own, "after assembly"-tested and edge label on, -15 and -11 also have back labels glued. Left to do: Glue boxes, put plastic on top label, back labels and cut these out, print the last four booklets. It's looking good, I think I'll have it done before Christmas 2016. I think -15 and -11 will be shipped within a few days.
  10. Finally got hold of the PCB:s... as I had them delivered to work and I've been on sick leave for a few weeks. Wonderful - but I apparently misspelled Fairchild, so embarrassing... and on the part that is visible if you lift the lid. I may need to put a sticker over that or something, perhaps it's better to leave it - it's correctly spelled everywhere else. I may be able to ship the first ones in this batch before New Year but any purchases from today will be shipped earliest January 2016. Price recalculated, I gave everyone a looong chance to get the lower price, new total price is US$132, unregistered worldwide shipping included.
  11. Did you finish up an s-video mod, what's the proper amplification needed? Do you have a schematic? I never bothered to mod my own as image on a small old TV is pretty much perfect, friends have asked now and then though so it could be nice to have a solution to offer.
  12. Nice work, what does "< not all chroma video out" mean there above the large red "burst"?
  13. Not shipped yet Atari_Bill, I'll try and make some time tonight already or tomorrow. Been having some more problems than usual with family, life and such, when on sick leave you have all the time in the world but yet nothing gets done. :-(
  14. Yes it's some kind of ferro magnetic process - like the good old days. Pretty neat but as I understand it it needs to be written to in a special way for the data to stick so it's usually not a drop in replacement instead of a RAM. I recently got some information on the subject from a guy making FeRAM memory modules for various old Pinball machines etc (holds scores after power off). "Users who are modifying existing designs to use F-RAM should examine the memory controller for timing compatibility of address and control pins. Each memory access must be qualified with a LOW transition of CE. In many cases, this is the only change required. An example of the signal relationships is shown in Figure 2 below. Also shown is a common SRAM signal relationship that will not work for the FM16W08. The reason for CE to strobe for each address is twofold: it latches the new address and creates the necessary pre-charge period while CE is HIGH." As far as I understand you can't write several bytes to the FeRAM - as CE will stay low, you need to write or read another memory area in between so the CE toggles. It's a simple change in code...
  15. Antenna splitter and you can play in STEREO! Or if they are differently adjusted you may have view of different parts of the game screen. Hope you like the game, my biggest High Score is 44780, I put a Ferro RAM in one cart (to hold the score after power off) and have shipped it back and forth to a US friend, he hasn't beaten it yet - not that we're big Pac-Man wizards... Unfortunately I have had troubles with the Ferro RAM (record is blank sometimes when I get it back) but as soon as I get the cart back I'll update the code to write differently. When I have sorted it out I might offer mods or new carts with the function.
  16. Some googling and a visit to "Service menu" will solve that. Looks like there's more width missing than height. Modern TV:s are usually better at keeping overscan low. I adjusted my lab-TV to show the entire graphics: After adjusting a bit more I wish I had added blue lines up and down as well - not too late to do that though. You rarely see a TV display this much without adjusting it.
  17. Looks like you have a loot of overscan on that TV (image zoomed in) .
  18. I have shipped a few and updated the first post in the thread. Will ship more next week.
  19. Only four carts ahead of yours Atari_Bill, might ship this week if I get some me-time. I finished making all Tombstone's carts today, these might be shipped tomorrow already. Will continue according to the list.
  20. -1 completed today and is ready to be packed and shipped - will be shipped this week... but need to finished the other two as well so they can be shipped together at the same time.
  21. I'm expecting to have some shipped by the end of this week, will make a note here and e-mail buyers.
  22. Monkey with a wrench - sounds like fun. I need to swap break disc and pads on the right side as well (back), then cut the hitch off - as it was too rusty, swap strut of the left front and then it's pretty much done, maybe put winter tires on both axles as well. It's been standing in the garage for about six months - don't really need the car but it would be nice not having to bike or walk the mile to work for the entire winter. Anyway, sold the fifth cart of the batch and parts are paid for, just have to find a few more items. I'll send an order for PCB:s this weekend. Late comers still have the chance to get the price of $120 until I have all parts delivered. I don't expect the prize to change much (but most likely some) unless there's a bunch of customs fee on everything...
  23. Hmm... I could use someone to repair my car maybe. I'll put you on the list.
  24. Got it, returned it... To everyone: Don't know if PayPal is up to something but I really prefer getting the payments in US$ not SEK - as I pay my parts suppliers in US$ and PayPal's exchange rates suck if I have to go back to US$ - imagine you pay in US$, I get SEK - exchange rate - then I need to go back to US$ and get the poor exchange rate again if we go back and forth some more times the money has just disappeared - like magic... So please make sure payment is executed in US$ and not any other currency. (unless you cleared it with me first) Thank you.
