It was called Jet-Stick, and the version for Atari-compatible sticks was called Video Command, which was first sold without the extra button. Before I got one I thought they had just drilled a hole and mounted a button but the handle halves have been reworked and molded differently than the original stick...
Here's how the Video Command version with button looks inside - I don't have a "Jet-Stick" yet...
-
So if I get one now and you decide to make a box later will you send me a box? Or should I wait a while to see if you decide to make a box?
Yes, if you buy a cartridge you have also bought any future box and instruction booklet. I'm thinking I might gather the on-cart instructions in a pamphlet or something like that.
-
Glad to hear it dumped OK, any hidden code ? or just blank spaceFND
Now that's a good question, that would require some extensive testing. I know that Sean Riddle edited the M.E.S.S. code to mask out any unused code of a cartridge and then looked closer at that. I don't have near his knowledge to do something like that, I'd have to disassemble it and then go trough the code from the beginning...

I may add the best pictures to a free slot in the Multi-Cart.
-
Yes FND, that's them, I see you have gotten hold of two other prototypes as well, I hope we can get them dumped...
I added the five prototypes that were actually playable:
DRAW POKER (Casino Poker)
COLOR ORGAN
FOOTBALL
GLACTIC SPACE WAR
SPITFIRE
Some are very different in the binary-file but seems to play the same.
There's probably missing code in Color Organ, but even if you just use the first 512 byte it plays the same, the "Robot Wars" code are very different but I think about half the code of that one is missing... That's why it resets after the players are written to screen. I hope we can get new dumps of them eventually.
It seems I haven't mentioned that the alternative Slot Machine was dumped OK and added to the Multi-Cart earlier this week.
You can check my YouTube-page for new recordings:

Here's Chess (not done uploading yet):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-MevezDTCE
It's ten minutes of me playing badly against the computer at the easiest level.
-
I'm done with the menu for now, I also added the prototype "Draw Poker" to the menu as it differs in the sound effects from Videocart 25, uploaded a new YouTube movie of the menu:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ChM3GHkj-A
If you check my other videos you can also fid recordings of Draw Poker and Casino Poker.

You know, I think the Channel F is quite interesting too (and in fact I was going to make a topic about it before I found this one). What would be the best websites about the Channel F? Also, where can I find a YouTube or other video demonstrating Chess? I'd love to see how it looks/plays on the Channel F.
I'm going to add a video of Color Organ today (I have planned), I might also add a short game of Chess at the easiest level (fastest).
Keep an eye here unless I remember to add a comment when it's up.

From the original library I did get the Maze game but haven't had a chance to read the instructions and figure out how to get the 1-player mode.It seems that Maze is only meant for two players:

Instructions can be read here:
http://w5.nuinternet.com/s660100106/gallery/txt/videocart10.txt

And here is the third try, I had to make the sound come a little pefore the picture to get it right after uploading it to YouTube:
-
That game is AWESOME!! Now I gotta find one
Loved right about 55, where the ball was huge, and the dudes was a tiny dot
Here it is:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270411368000
Not the cheapest one you can find but OK.
Here's one with box:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350223864920
... and here's a complete set:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310150572329
I'd go for the complete set, it's a good price.
-
Couldn't edit my post above for some reason. I had to edit the video the sound was out of synch.
Here's the new one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dedcuEsSHo
Edit: It seems YouTube f*cked that up as well... even if it's closer this time.
-
How does two player Dodge It work?
You're locked inside a room and a ball starts to bounce around inside it, both players avoid to hit it and when a player gets hit the other player receives the score that is counted up from the beginning.
The size of the ball and players vary, the speed of balls and players vary and also the size of the room and the number of balls increases with time, I think four balls is the maximum...
I'll make a video of it and put it here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/e5frog
There it is:

Yearning to Fly... it seems very popular. Thanks for your vote. Feel free to name second and third options as well.
Just noticed - I can make a poll!

Here's a preview of the menu of the Multi-Cart, originally made by Sean Riddle and edited by me.

New YouTube movie with sound in sync, recording from the latest version (Build 31 - which is the version on the Pac-Man cartridge) and it also shows the first intermission at 4:00.
NEW PRICE: $69.95!
I have ordered a new batch of carts, current price is $69,95 plus shipping (of your choice) if you make a personal payment with PayPal there's no extra charge, otherwise add 3.4% extra to cover the PayPal fees..
Bank transfer is welcome also.
This is the last batch of Pac-Man carts and it's as cheap as it's gonna get - get one and enjoy the intermissions, an authentic box and instructions those are the three things not included in the Multi-Cart version.
Welcome with your order.
-
First five are sold, I'll continue to take pre-orders for the same price, but the waiting time is a little longer. The price will most likely go up when I have gotten price information on all needed parts. If you pay now you'll get it at the cheaper price.

I have increased the number of carts to five as things were a little more expensive than I had expected. It looks like the next larger batch will cost more than the $100 per cartridge than these first five - maybe as much as $20 more, so if you want one and can afford it right now - get one of the two that's left...

Auto switching Multi-Cart with more than all original software.
Fits all System Fairchild machines no matter what the TV system is (so Fairchild, Zircon, SABA, ITT, Nordmende, Luxor, Barco, Ingelen, Grandstand, Dumont, Emerson).
Please, either answer in this thread, send a personal message or e-mail to address further down.
Multi-Cart will be delivered in a brand new box. Cartridge shell is a used original with new labels and new PCB. The shell will have signs of wear. If you wish to provide your own cart shell - let me know. I can have 3D-printed shells made at the buyers expense, last time I checked it was about $70 for the cheapest material at a professional manufacturer. If you want to print your own shell I can provide 3D print files.
To my knowledge the Multi-Cart contains all known games and variations (both Democarts, all dumped protos, newly made games and known homebrews) for the System Fairchild, even the complete version of Pac-Man!
Games can be chosen via a menu that you reach by resetting the system while holding button 1. Holding other buttons or combination thereof while resetting will immediately start one of the more popular games (according to previous requests), just check the instructions on the back label (before inserting, afterwards will be tricky). How to select game:
Try and find the Easter Egg(s) in your cartridge menu...
Payment Instructions:Please use the friends/family/personal payment so I don't have to pay the fee, you can use the link on top.
For manual payment with the same prices: http://paypal.com my address is [email protected]
I will also answer e-mails sent to that address.
Make sure payment is sent in US$
... and not KR/SEK - as PayPal seems to change the currency by default.
Please write your shipping, as well as, email address as a message in your PayPal paymentThese are not automatically included with personal payment, if you forget to include it send an e-mail to the same address or send me a PM here.
For European customers I also accept bank transfer, just write me a message and I'll supply needed information.
For Swedish users there's the above but also the option of using Swish (you send money with your phone almost as easy as a text message), let me know.
Customization are possible, if you want something special, let's talk about it, I'm not difficult.

Sorry, took the first picture I found and didn't think about it, like this instead then:

Not that I think he'll use either this nor your suggestion.

This guy seems just to want to repair his Defender cart, perhaps someone that has the equipment could simply burn the appropriate prom and send it to him.
If you need an inverter and don't want to use a whole logic circuit it can be achieved with a transistor and two resistors:

Depending on the transistor the resistor at the base could be 10kohm and the other 1kohm if using a 2N2222 for example.
It will require about half the soldering of a 74xx circuit.
