Yep, it's Ebivision Pac-Man. Haven't seen that one before and can't seem to find it. Ne1 got a dump of it they can post? Ok, sorry stop with the pm's I didn't know the programmer(s) didn't want that rom released.

I'll second that one, it's been so long I had forgot about that old door game, letting the fairy out of the jar in the store to steal stuff for u, typing in "Jenny Garth" & some more tricks I can't remember atm. I used to have it on my old Wildcat BBS years ago. Still a couple places u can play it on the internet, but it's just not the same faster than 1200/2400 baud

Step 1: download a Nintendo Emulator Step 2: either run the install or unzip it withever it takes Step 3: Read the readme file that most all of them come with that will explain how to work it Readme's are your friend

Yeah it'll run fine in XP, you don't even have to use the Windoze 95 Compatability mode at all. Vista however is another story, gotta have dos box for them to work well.

does anyone know of any good adventure games for the 2600?
iratanam replied to coreysno's topic in Atari 2600
I'll second that one, and like Raiders of the Lost Ark, it uses both joysticks -
Also you might try reading the readme file included that will explain how it works and how to use it.....You'll find the readme files are your friends

I wasn't aware that the source was posted, are they here on Atariage? I tried a forum source but came up empty. Thanks

The download-links on the champ-em site worked fine for me, i just downloaded all the games without any problems. Maybe the server only allows downloads from some locations, I've tried everyone of them from 3 different ISP's so far, and always get redirected to a file not found error
-
Hi there - I haven't spoken to Manuel in a while (he's the one who runs the Champ-em website) - I'm not sure why the links don't work. When I get home I can either post the downloads here (they're fairly small) or if you want you can shoot me a PM with your email and I can send them that way. It may take me a while to find them (it's been 10 years!) but I know I have them archived somewhere... And, I'll see what I can figure out about playing them in NT based systems (i.e. XP) as far as if there's any easy fixes with the compatibility settings off the bat. I agree with the some of the others, DOSBox is the best bet and seems to work great when using in VIsta and/or XP. Personally I play them on a old 486dx4 running msdos 6.1 and windows 3.11 (I've kept this system running all these years just so I can for sure play all the old dos games I still love.)

Any other DL links that anyone knows of? I've even tried from a friends house, and still keep getting 404 error on that one page. Thanks

If you have access to the newsgroups: alt.binaries.emulators.mame alt.binaries.emulators.arcade alt.binaries.emulators.tosec You'll be able to find all of them between those 3 news groups esp. in the first 2 I listed!

I love Pac-Man after dark!! Trying to get a friend of mine to burn the roms for me so I can replace the roms in my pac-man cabinet with the pac after dark roms

All of the Champ Games (even old-old versions) can be downloaded at: Champ Games download section If there is any interest, I could post the downloads for the unreleased versions of Frog-em and Burger Climb. Both are about 50% done (non-playable). I'll have to dig through my old code to see if I can track them down... That would be great!! as far as the website, I get redirected to a error 404 File not found on most of the games when I click to download them.
-
Didn't know that, maybe he'll get some joy knowing that his old "Champ" games are still loved and played.

help needed to setup my mame32 to play games
iratanam replied to coreysno's topic in Arcade and Pinball
Don't extract them, leave them zipped and put them in the "ROMS" folder under the main MAME folder. -
DK on 2600 rocked. I played it way more than Pac-Man, went through either 2 or 3 carts at the time.
-
Visit this website. Seen this page before, most of the download links don't work. Always get redirected to a page that says the following: Error 404 - Not found Die angegebene Seite konnte nicht gefunden werden. And I don't speak German

Anyone still have the old dos Champ Games, Champ Kong, etc. etc. I had almost all of them until we moved and I lost the cd they were backed up on. Along with my backups of Commander Keen and a few others, the Commander Keen series was np to get as ID had them on their website full versions updated for windows. Thanks

When I got my copy of Pac-Man back in the day, I thought it looked strange, but I remember how much I enjoyed it. I don't think I really cared how it looked or sounded. At the time it was the closest thing to Pac-Man we had, it sure beat the LCD versions (Maybe with the exception of TomyPac, I loved that hand held LCD version, more like a table top really.) Then when Ms. Pac-Man came out for the 2600 I was really knocked over by it, granted that I never owned my own copy of it back then, my parents said we couldn't afford it, so I visited friends all the time that had copies
