http://www.onceuponatari.com/ Just wonder if the DVD is worth the $29.95 or not?

My Kids love the 2600 also, although I have refused to let them take my 2600 stuff to their rooms, they have laid claim to my FB1 & 2.

Eyes was a good arcade game, be interesting to see a 2600 version. Then again as far as Pac-Man hacking, PacManPlus and Nukey are the masters, U might wanna chat with them on ideas.

Space Invaders has been hacked to death already if u ask me.

September winner, October prize...
iratanam replied to DarkLord's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Ok TY!! I got 3 ST Mags in the mail and had no idea where they came from, seems my wife had opened them and had already thrown the envelope away when I got in from work. When I asked her where they came from she told me she didn't know, that they came in a plain yellow envelope, and knowing me she figured it was some kinda porn and that she was going to dispose of it if it was indeed porn. Which makes me wonder what kinda porn I got in the mail that I never got to see! -
Nothing is wrong with Pac-Man, I got it for VCS when I was a kid (Hell I was just happy at that time to have a new game for my VCS period.) I didn't care that it didn't look like the arcade, I found it fun and enjoyable and do to this day. Sure the hacks of it are nice, but to me the original VCS Pac-Man still is excellent to this day.

Which home system had the best conversion of Congo Bongo?
iratanam replied to jpfalcon2003's topic in Atari 2600
I'll 2nd that, bad as I hate to say it, I think the C-64 version was one of the best home conversions -
Easy one, E.T. that way since I'm dead, I know I'll never get played therefore I get to rest.

Yep ads different but I do believe thats it. Favors it anyway, course it was close to 20 years ago or better since I seen it

I remember seeing an ad when I was a kid in I believe was an Electronic Games Magizine, I cannot remember everything about it other than it showed like a kid holding a device that allowed you to plug a cart into both ends of it, and it had like a red button in the middle of it. If I remember the ad correctly and I'm sure I do. How it worked was you plugged a game into one end that you borrowed from a friend or whatever, then put a I guess Blank Cart into the other end, pressed the button and presto you had a copy of the game that you could play until you got tired of it then you could simply copy over it with another cartridge. I cannot remember the name of the device, and wonder if it was ever released beyond the ad, as tech. you would have been pirating games with this device.

How about talking to Coleco and telling them to do so much better with Donkey Kong, it could have been so much better, and I'm surprised no one has up'd the k like with 2600 pac-man and improved it

0 Okay I can go in circles forever and even die without scoring, what the hell am I suppose to do??

Decided to restart my 2600 collection that I sold many years ago when I upgraded to a 5200. Today at a local flea marke t I found the following (all commons I know but still its a start.) Haunted House Donkey Kong Pac-Man Asteroids Galaxian (all of these I take it were silver label?) Defender (Sears Label) All for $4.50 The Defender has no end label, but the front label is barely hanging on, easily removed in one piece where simply the glue on the label is so old its gone I guess. But... is there a good way to re-attach the label like with paste or some sort of glue that will not ruin the label?

The one from EMUAsylum is screwed up. Really should only be using the final as the rest of us are to be fair. Search engine is your friend Okay np don't count that score, I'll see what I can do with EMU7800, although I think Prosystem is way better, sure wish Ken could modifiy the bin to work in prosystem

I was having a quick weekend with the mrs in Cape May NJ last weekend and it was close to that scene in Tron! Could've been the rain but it was packed with folks playing everything there - People were even... waiting... to go on cybercycles or whatever it was. Almost old school! That's good to know. I know arcades aren't completely dead like some people think. I was at the arcade last weekend and there were a good number of people around there too, but no crowding that I saw. It would be really cool to see people getting excited like they did at Flynn's though. I guess that's what the lady gamers are for in the arcade. Glad to hear there are some real arcades left out there, ever arcade around me, if you wanna call them that, has a crap load of generic crappy hunting arcade games, a bunch of kids games that give out tickets for prizes (kinda like in a chucky cheese), although one of them does have a Star Trek Voyager sit down cabinet (still a light gun shooting game though) and a Jurrasic Park Stand up game (alas still a damn light gun game)

$400 Canadian, that's like what $20 US? I say go for it.

332,650 Okay I dunno what version of the rom I have as my screen looks different than everyone elses (I got the image from EmuAsylum) and its the only version I have that works with prosystem, all the others I have tried you stand there unable to move.

Agreed. I think the INTV version suffers from control issues. The movement of the ship on the bottom isn't exactly silky smooth (which seems to be a recurring problem in many Intellivision games.....) As a 2600 owner though I couldn't help but be envious of the screenshots of the Intellivision version of Demon Attack, what with that massively cool mothership. Looks like a Phoenix rip-off to me

Atari's Landfill Adventures, I now have the proof it's true.
iratanam replied to Spud's topic in Atari 2600
If you have ever seen the show, you know this isnt the sort of thing they take on. How can you scientifically prove, under a controlled environment, that ET carts are buried in New Mexico? I wouldn't say it's not the kinda stuff they take on, I remember a episode where they searched all over a football stadium looking for Jimmy Hoffa. If they'll look for Hoffa they should look for Atari Carts. We all know that finding these Atari Carts are much more important than finding Hoffa -
Think we voted on the wrong game guys Damn tough one
