The rf cables seem to be pretty common around here. They can be had on ebay for a few dollars.

Still one of my favorite systems. If your in to FMV get Night Trap for it. Its by far the best version of the game. Great shooters like bladeforce, wolfenstein 3d, and killing time are nice to have. Foes of Ali is a good boxing game. Guardian war is a decent rpg with some interesting elements. If your into adult themed entertainment it has that too. The only one I can recall is Plumbers don't wear ties. There is a handfull of really great games for this system some have already been mentioned above. Get the gunslingers collection and try to find a gun.

where's this devil hiding, possibly under the armor plate I mean shield ? 8-) Thanx for the help I'll go home and mess with it tonight to see if thats it. Would radio shack carry that part ?

Purchase a copy of Combat

This is a problem I'm having with a 4 switch woody I recently purchased. The case is cracked to heck and back but the motherboard, connectors and everything appears to be ok. The problem is when I hook it up and power it on theres a flicker that it receives power and then it does nothing but produce a black screen on the tv. The system has been cleaned and so have all my games. I have a JR that they work fine on. I have replaced the phono cord and it runs into a coaxial jobbie so no rf switch probs. It happens on both channels. Normally I'd expect a discolored screen or garbled mess but this is nothing. Just a power flickr when you turn it on and the screen goes to black.

Nice collection completely blew by my collection.

I think you have quartitis. Its a inflammation of love for quarters. I tend to find tokens on the ground and I get excited about them. I have a dozen or so tokens from different arcades.

I'm the only one that likes checkered flag. 8-)

My wife has been trying to find this one game but don't know the name of it. I cannot remember it either. It has something to do with rescuing people from a building and yes you play as a fireman. Anyone know it ?

It's one of my great joy's in life playing games. The same as other hobbys like restoring old gas pumps and woodworking. Everyone needs a hobby/lifestyle that they enjoy. I'll continue to collect games I enjoy and play them every so often. When I die my collection goes to my son who is equally as passionate about gaming. Granted he is 4 years old but being handicapped it is one of the things he is best at. I have had 4hr straight sega genesis game sessions with him. The kids a tank when it comes to long hauls at games.

Picked up a new sealed copy of Call of Cthulhu for X-box $5

Not bad, I plan on making my 4 switch into a wood case about the size of a JR. Top loading and not slanted, mounted on the bottom of the case. Depending on how high you made the system you could put slots in the front to hold your favorite 3 or 6 or 9 games. Maybe even have a small area for booklets.

This topic makes my blood boil and I'm glad I'm chummy with my local thrifts.

The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros.

I like the playability of games that I cannot beat easily. I can always go back and get just a bit further than the last time before I get tired. As far as beating them I play them to have fun but in the course if I beat them then thats great. So long as the game keeps me coming back because its fun I don't care if I beat it or not.

The genesis is a good system to collect for. Most of the games can be had for little money. I tend to enjoy most genesis games that I come across (Even some sports games). The games are fun and readily found you can't go wrong with it.

You have to keep going back. I tend to find that tuesdays and wednesdays are the best. There finally putting stuff on the shelves that came in over the weekend. Most people after a yard sale dump the leftovers at the thrifts. Unless there professional yardsalers and think people are going to keep comming back to there junk every weekend. I normally go on wednesday right before closing. I seem to have pretty good luck

Has anyone gutted a woody and made a new box for the innards. I have a woody with a cracked case and I'm thinking about making a new box. I hear about people putting stuff in vcs cases but never taking the stuff out and making a new case. I'd love to see pictures if anyone has any.
