  1. Hmm I broke the high bid at 50.00 ? Where is everyone at on this auction. It should go for four times that. Though it does have a couple days left 8-)
  2. Nice B-day gift 8-) What did you get your roommate for his B-day ?
  3. I was wondering when he was getting around to this.
  4. Have we forgot these: Bubble Bobble Built to Win Iron Tank Milons Secret Castle Gunsmoke
  5. My name derives from me recently discharging from the military. In effect I am a ghost soldier. A shell of the man I used to be still trying to rejoin reality
  6. She had a lifetime of achievements behind her. I hope that I'm still as youthful at that age as she was.
  7. My mother managed to salvage them out of the trash for me when I threw them away at 13. She kept them a few years and when my mind slowly drifted back to things other than girls I was elated. To have all those magazines that I once thought I lost. I take 2 a day to work with me for something to read. Its amazing looking back on speculation in the magazines knowing how things turned out in the future.
  8. All my games and systems go to my son when I die. He is fanatic about the hobby as I am so he'll continue the collection. Hopefully to pass what still works onto his son.
  9. Almost had Dragon Warrior II last night. I was at the checkout at my local game store. Some lady had just brought in a whole crap of sega genesis and nes games. What do I see but a minty boxed copy of Dragon Warrior 2. I motion to my friends behind the counter like you would to a teacher. They just nod and smile. The lady that brought it in was paid and I went and rummaged through the stuff before it went behind the counter. I grabbed out the Dragon Warrior II without opening the box. I paid 2.50 for it and grabbed my other purchases. I went to the truck to open it and lo and behold some crap game was in there. I took it back in and got me another game and they allowed me to keep the box and instructions. Now all I need is a orphan. 8-( Here is my other finds Ecco The Tides of Time~Gen 2.50 Bonanza Bros.~Gen 2.50 Road Rash III~Gen 2.50 Milon's Secret Castle~NES 2.50 Kung Fu~NES Free Ghost & Goblins~NES Free Dragon Warrior II Box and Inst. Super Mario Bros/Duck Inst.
  10. My clips are still new in the box as well. 8-)
  11. Do you happen to know if radio shack or other stores carry flex wires ?
  12. Its kinda aggravating cause I don't want to bring out one of the woody's. However you need these button's to work for some games that want you to reset to start them.
  13. Very nice looking portable jag. I wonder if ben has developed a portable jag yet.
  14. Kinda curious as to how to fix both of these buttons. I have taken the system apart and cleaned it. As for these buttons there is a small flat wire with 2 metal wires inside of it. They connect into a slot on the far right of the motherboard. Mine was pulled out. I put it back in the slot as far as I could get it. However it still does not work. Any suggestions on how to make it more snug so the contacts connect ? The buttons themselves come in contact with the tapewire.
  15. Passed down or bought from one collector to another the systems and games will survive. All my sega cd games are mint. Both of my sega cd's model 1 and 2 are like new condition. Those games and systems are going on 15+years old now. The collectors will retain the gems and when it comes time to part they'll be passed on like anything else. I doubt your going to go to a thrift and find a mint cd game 20 years from now. So I agree with you on one point. The games will probably fetch a pretty penny being scratch free as well as the remaining working systems. I watched a Turbo Duo go on ebay last week for 350+ Not too shabby for a old cd system.
  16. I've yet to come across a non-working cart. I have a few that the cases are cracked and chipped and looked like they had been submerged in oil. They still work perfectly to this day
  17. I have the Jr out for some gaming goodness. It has a small footprint and looks cool. My woody's are safely tucked away resting.
  18. As cd systems age they'll still be sought after like catridge based systems. That being said my sega cd gets more play than my ps2 and x-box. I consider it a retro system (sega cd). I don't think retro or classic gaming ends at catridges. I think the whole classic/retro can be applied to just about every system and format that is no longer active (homebrew aside). So my tiger handheld game is just as retro as my saturn or N64. Just my 2 cents on the matter. 8-)
  19. Nice umm Boxes you have there buyatari 8-). What kinda systems and games are stored in your closets and basement.
  20. My 3 1/2 year old loves to play sega genesis. He calls it ooga but close enough. The little squirt is better at virtua racing than me. He's almost as good at Sonic as I am. He'll play the 2600, and nes but they don't hold his attention like the genesis does.
  21. I gotta go with Black Bass Super Mario Bros 3 Final Fantasy Dragon Warrior There are a few other games I could throw in there like bubble bobble or P.O.W. For me these are the most addicting games on any system I have
