I had a similar accident happen when I first got my 360. My dog had bumped the TV stand and knocked the 360 over. It put a huge gouge my copy of Gears of War. I took mine to Game Crazy. They charged something like $3 to buff it out on their machine. Worked great. You can still see where it was slightly, but it plays fine. Funny thing is the store clerk knew exactly what happened when I brought it in. His word of advice, "always keep your 360 on it's side." I have never stood it up since.

I hear ya on that one. Everyone says it's supposed to be faster, but I swear mine is slower. Takes forever to load lists, arcade, etc and makes me miss the old dashboard. I can't stand the avatars either. Call me picky but I HATE how they all stand with their hips out to the side. Makes them look like those Bratz dolls. I dress mine as ridiculous as possible so it looks nothing like me.

Another favorite is the people who blast music through their mic. I've run into a lot of them lately on CoD:[email protected]

I've had a lot of the same experiences that 2600Lives has had. Sometimes you have a great match, other times you get an "Akuma jerk". It's definitely hit or miss. I really wish there was a way to be able to see a players ranking before accepting/entering a match with them (unless I've missed it somewhere?). I would just avoid the high ranked players like the plague. The game is still awesome though and I've had some awesome Street Fighter nights with some friends of mine. We play the old "you lose, you pass the controller" style. Makes for a lot of fun.

Ditto on both of those, otherwise it's great. It's refreshing to have an easy pick up and play RTS. You get to concentrate less on resource management/etc, and more on just having fun. Only played the first level or so and had a match on LIVE with a friend, but I'm definitely not disappointed.

I'll be picking it up tomorrow too. I'm excited to see the rest of the game. Played the crap outta the demo.

Sony cut BC from the PS3 on the newer models. I can't blame either company for not continuing. It must save them a good amount of money. Plus the prices on the older systems are low anyway.

Gamespot seemed to like them, but they only mention it briefly in one of their prerelease reviews. "...we met up with Capcom at CES and got our paws on a near-final version of the game. And we got a whole lot out of our time with it, since we were able to use all the new characters and also play the new Challenge mode. Better still, we played using the upcoming Mad Catz fightpad and arcade sticks, which seemed fantastic." full article is here: http://www.gamestop.com/Browse/ArticleView...articleid=61913 I'm assuming they're referring to both with the "fantastic". I would love to get one. It'd be just like playing SF back on the old Genesis 6-button controller (or close enough to it). The only problem is finding one. I didn't pre-order and I've been to all the local Gamestops and they're sold out. From what one of the guys told me yesterday they didn't get in any more than what was pre-ordered and he wasn't sure if they were getting more. Now it's not even showing up on their website.
-
Lucky. I've been trying to track one down. None of the Gamestops around here got in anything other than what was pre-ordered. Oh, and if anyone is having a hard time unlocking characters you can set the difficulty to easy, and make it one round matches for your play-throughs. Sure it's a little cheesey but it saves a ton of time if you're just looking for new characters to have fun with.

Ninety-Nine nights and Table Tennis..my newest 360 purchases

DW Gundam is a fun game. Especially if you're a fan Gundam. They use a wide variety of Gundam models from the different series and a lot of the original voice actors for the characters. Definitely your DW type hack/slash -
Yea, Two worlds didn't get the best reviews (6.8 IGN). Fable 2 is a definite buy for me. The first was fantastic. Count me in on the Mass Effect wagon too. Still have to pick it up but it looks amazing. Got great reviews too. That and Eternal Sonata... so many games so little time.

According to GameInformer it's "Spring '08" Should be an awesome game! And it is coming out for PS3 too.

You can't go wrong with PGR. I like 3, and it's a nice long game if you aim to complete it through all the challenges. #4 is also good.

Nice! I'm pretty sure I can get them on my phone. Thanks for the tip! -

As often as I can. Can't check from work unfortunately (due to filters), and I'm always afraid I'm missing out on a good deal! lol. -
I have the original model (now the Zune30). I love it! Picked up a super cheap refurb right after the new models were announced. The new firmware is fantastic as well. For those interested, only the older model of the Zune is bulky. The newer models are much slimmer. They're pretty much Ipod sized. Not to mention they have the new touch pad.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal. It's cheaper than you'd pay for all of them at a Gamestop/EB. Hunter: The Reckoning ,Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and Dead to Rights, are all fun games, though I've never played the rest so I can't vouch for them. Btw, Hunter is more fun w/ multiplayer IMO.

I don't have a pic right now, but they're Quickshot controllers. Made by a company called SVI. They have 2 buttons one on the base and one at the top of the stick. Thanks for the link Heavy6r. I didn't notice that post. Sorry about the repeat. I guess I'll start looking for a Flashback system then unless a find a good price on some originals on ebay.

Hey everyone. I'm looking to get a new set of controllers for my 2600. All I have right now are these big clunky 3rd party ones. I'd like to get some originals, however I saw a lot of these on ebay: Ebay Conroller They're all brand new. Has anyone bought these? Do they work as well as the original controllers?
