Maybe it's got a port in the back for 2600 games.
-
For Dreamcast it would be Bangai-O: Prize Edition or maybe the SegaGaGa Box Set. For a standard US release I'd say Project Justice.
-
They could also be 7800 PAL carts on an NTSC system. Do they have a "P" sticker on the back of the cart?Ah ha! Just looked, and the three games that were giving me trouble all had the P sticker. I had noticed it when I got them, but didn't realize that was what it was for.
Thanks Groovy

Sorry I should have been more clear. They're all 7800 games that are giving me trouble. I haven't tried any 2600 games on it yet.
I tried taking the game out and putting it back in a few times too to see make sure it was fully inserted/making full contact, but it's still the same.

We always used spray bottles (like the kind hairdressers use) with water to train our cats to stay away from or off of things. Whenever they go near something you don't want them too just give them a quick squirt of water. They pick up on the idea fairly quick. I'm sure a three year old cat will learn just as quickly as a younger cat.

So I recently acquired a 7800 in great shape with a nice selection of boxed games.
The games are all in good condition, some even look brand new, but I can't get a few of them to work. I've cleaned the contacts in the carts, and I've taken the system apart and given it a good cleaning too, but they are still being temperamental. The title screen will show, but after that it just goes to a black screen usually with two vertical green lines (if that makes any difference).
Are there any tricks or other things I can try to get these working?

...Yeah, I have my day one X-box still, no I can't play games on it, it's drive is just about worn out, to bad too, tons of great games that don't work on the 360 (munch, Mech assault, some of the classic compilations) ...
At least you can play MechAssault 2.
Just as much funWhat game was it?1 game not on the list of almost 400 possible playable games
Bad luck indeed. Still have your original xbox?jedi knight 2 jedi outcast,
nope i gave my old xbox to my brother in-law...
Ah, that sucks. Odd that they made Jedi Academy playable but not Outcast. Most of the Star Wars games were pretty popular.
Maybe try NE146's idea and get a used one at Play N' Trade, or Gamestop sells refurb units for 40 or 50 i think.

Wow. 10 yrs? That's harsh.

Nice ad! The GenMobile looks great. I think I will definitely be picking one of these up.

I received an email saying that I was selected and that I would get another email telling me how to get the update. However, another email has yet to come.
JagMX has it. He said it was slower than the old dash!! WTF!!??
Ugh. That would be awful. I surely hope not. It's slow enough as is.

LOL!

I never got around to buying a Gamecube. I would play a friends' houses that had one, but that's about it. That was one of my main reasons for buying a Wii. I wanted to catch up on the Gamecube games that I had missed. Though... that's still a work in progress since I don't get around to playing the Wii that much, but at least the option is there
I might end up buying one eventually. Just for collectors sake, and also so I can get a GBA player. I used the love the GB adapter for the N64. I'd imagine the player for Gamecube/GBA is just as much fun.

Did you clean the game cartridge before you put it in? How is the SNES, is it dirty? You might want to get some canned air to blow out the ports. If you're using an RF connector, maybe unscrew the cables and double check the ends to make sure the wire is OK.
-
Nice! But why didn't you pick up the SNES and 64 too!? lol

I've heard bad things about the intercoolers. Never used one myself though.
I would say as long as it's not crammed into the new cabinet that you're going to use, you should be fine. You need to give it a little breathing space.
What model 360 do you have?
-
Would u consider selling individual games?

"Impressive. Most impressive."

...On a side note, why does Cable's arm turn to ice (I think) sometimes when he wins? I never read the comic so I have no clue.
Tempest
His body is infected with a techno-organic virus. That's where his cybernetic arm comes from. Originally he had to telekinetically keep the virus from taking over his body at all times. I'm guessing they show his arm growing at the end of the fight due to the strain of fighting and focusing on his virus at the same time.
A little comic book nerdery fact for you all.

Bump. Some prices lowered.

Does playing it on the Dreamcast count? I really want this on the Xbox 360, but I must do what I promised to myself and not buy anything over 800 pts. If it ever goes on sale, it's mine! Besides most of my "fighting game" time is being used up with SF IV.True, 1200pts is a bit expensive, but it beats paying $30-$50+ for the Dreamcast, Xbox, or PS2 versions.
The graphics look pretty good, but it seems like they did more work on the backgrounds than on the character models. I was expecting a little more, like they did w/ Super SF II Turbo HD Remix.
-
Congrats! Enjoy it!

-
Have you thought about the SF4 Fight pads? They're only $40. They have a lot better D-pad than the standard 360 controller.
-
Well, most companies own patants and such ontheir controllers, so a company can't just copy it, but that's still no reason for it to totally suck ass. I like some, people really rag on Madcats, but I got several MCDS2's for PS2, and a couple of the 360 controllers (why doesn't anyone else have the inversion switch? I'm the only one of my friends that plays inverted, and if someone else picks up a controller, this lets thim flip it without adjusting game settings)...
I've always like the Mad Catz stuff too. Never had any trouble with any of their controllers. They made a great wireless controller that I used to use on my Xbox all the time.

New 7800 owner problems.

Crack'ed, Galaga, and Choplifter. I got two copies of Galaga in the lot, so at least one was NTSC. I'll just have to pick up the other two.
