I don't have a very large SMS collection, but so far my favorites are:

I'm having a really hard time deciding between the two systems.

 

It's going to come down to whichever system ends up including a flux capacitor. Then I can travel back in time to buy all the minty fresh 2600 games. Any chance of fitting one in next to the Warren Robinett bust Jrok? I'll pay extra.

If you have updated your 360 to the NXE (new xbox experience), you can now copy your games to the hard drive. You still need to keep the game in the drive to play, but it won't be spinning.

If you have a model 2, you might want something like THIS instead. It's a little bit more, but it has both L and R audio instead of just one. I bought the same one for my replacement model 2 and it works great.

[MTG Duels of the Planeswalkers XBL Arcade]

Since there wasn't a newer thread on the topic I figured I'd start one.

 

Has anyone else gotten this yet and/or tried the demo? I really enjoyed it. As someone who plays MTG on a weekly basis, I feel they did a good job of making a simple way for people to learn to play MTG and enjoy some very casual games. Granted some of the premade decks they provide you with aren't very good, but they're mostly balanced with each other, except for maybe the Nissa Revane elf deck.

 

I would have liked to see some more deck customization, or at least the ability to take some cards out of the deck, rather than just being able to add cards in. Though I suppose it's a fine line to walk between customization and making the game too confusing or complicated.

 

The graphics are nice, as are the animations. It's definitely better than Magic Online as far as looks go. Campaign co-op and the online multiplayer are nice additions. I also enjoyed the challenge mode.

 

If you're someone who enjoys Magic or wants to learn how to play, I highly recommend it. It's 800 Microsoft pts btw.

Was never a fan of Tails though.

 

That's exactly what kills Sonic 2 for me. Why is Tails there? He doesn't really contribute anything to the gameplay. He's just distracting. I don't understand why the developers chose to do that.

You know, you don't have to play as Sonic w/ Tails. You can also play as just Sonic or Tails as well.

Add me to the list too. There's probably at least 3 games for each system I own that I haven't gotten around to playing. I blame it mostly on my 360. I'll buy something for one of my older systems and before I hook it up something good will come out for 360 and I'll end up playing that instead. Damn new generation systems with all their fancy type graphics.

Would be nice, but it'll never happen. Outside of old school Sega fans, I doubt many people even know what Ristar is.

This has happened before too. There was a story a while ago about someone buying an iPod at Target that was actually just the box with rocks in it. Gotta love the shoddy customer service people who take these returns without looking at the box contents.

Well, have to give the PS2 this much: It had the first two Katamari Damacy games and they are both better then the 360 one.

If there was one reason to own a PS2, for me it's definitely the Katamari games. I was also kind of disappointed by the 360 version as well.

People like that are on any auction site. Even some regular webstores. Always trying to make an extra couple bucks on the shipping. Of course if they're selling it well packaged and w/ delivery confirmation and/or insurance, that's not too bad. Plus, a lot of sellers, especially ones i've seen at CTCW have super cheap combined shipping that usually goes along with their shipping prices. Sometimes FREE or only .25/.50 extra per game. $5 or slightly more is worth it when you get to load up on good deals.

It's nice that they're still replacing it for free. Plus now it'll have a renewed warranty when you get it back.
