  1. I started playing Wasteland for DOS. I really like it even though I never considered myself a big player of RPG's but can anyone tell me what the closest game to Wasteland would be for the Genesis. Thanks.
  2. Here's the games list I received last night. I formatted it in three columns. Tons of great games to choose from, some you have to buy independently like Blaster and Jumpman. Looks pretty good though... Atari Games List.doc
  3. Thanks for the heads up - i've got a 800XL and 800 computers so I should be ok. I just received a list from him and i'll post it here tomorrow - gotta hit the sack now but by glancing at it I noticed a slew of games I can't wait to play!
  4. I'm really interested in getting a Multicart with Blaster, Choplifter 16k and 64k, Donkey Kong Arcade, Crystal Castles, Fort Apocalypse, HERO, Hyperblast, Jumpman, Jr. Pac Man, Mario Bros., Laser Gates, MULE, and a bunch of arcade titles. The YouTube videos are cool.
  5. This site is offering a multicart that i'm very interested in for the 8-bit system. Anyone have input or experience buying there?
  6. Thanks for all the input guys. There's some good options out there. The Saturn pad looks nice and the USB adapter from Retrozone may be really good since I can use all of my original Genesis pads. The gaming community is awesome!
  7. Ok, i'll check those out. Kega Fusion sounds new to me. I'll check that out too. Thanks.
  8. Does anybody use a USB adapter in order to use a Sega Genesis controller for emulation on the PC? I'm really getting into emulation and would like to use my stock Genesis controllers to play my GENS emulator games on the computer. Retrozone (http://www.retrousb.com/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=69) has one. Any opinion on their adapter (is it 100% compatible, etc.)? Thanks guys.
  9. Good timing!! That works, thank you very much. I wanted to try out the Zaxxon Super Game and it works well. Great emulator! I appreciate the help.
  10. Hi, That works. One more question (hopefully). When it asks for a keypad input (Please select button 1 or 2...), it doesn't respond to the number '1' or '2' on the PC's numerical keypad or the numbers on top. Any suggestions? Thanks.
  11. Hey guys, Can any AdamEm users help me to load Super Game ROMS using Windows XP? I downloaded the emulator, Virtual ADAM v1.02 (http://www.sacnews.net/adamcomputer/downloads.html). I can't figure out how to load a ROM or DSK file using the tab and directory interface. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
  12. Would anyone have the complete specs for both the original ColecoVision black system and the Grey Adam Game Console power supples? I've tried looking around the web and haven't found much. Thanks.
  13. Yea, I didn't realize this either. I also like the Star Control series. I still play Star Control on the Genesis and always loved it. Games with maps make the game a little more interesting. Cool stuff!
  14. Sega Genesis (air & space shooters, not including run n' gun ie. gunstar heroes, mega turrican, etc.) Thunder Force II, III, IV M.U.S.H.A. Raiden Trad Sagaia Vapor Trail Atari 2600 River Raid Galaxian Defender II Demon Attack Phoenix Vanguard Turmoil
  15. Hi SS, if it's not downloadable on that SF page somewhere (I only just skimmed through it just now), let me know, because, if worse comes to worse, I can just scan mine and send it to you. Granted, it'll be in a few pieces (since it's so large I can't scan it all at once) and I've got markings for wormholes and all, but if that's the only option that you wind up having I'll be glad to send it your way as it is Thanks Atari Man, I got it from one of the sites above. Actually, I got the Sega Genesis and DOS maps (same thing, just different colors - see attached), put it on a Flash Drive, drove over to Staples and got an 8.5" x 14" glossy copy of each made. It's perfect. I've read about some people doing this and it's pretty cool. Gotta see if I can find other maps and posters of Sega classics and have them printed. Thanks again!
  16. Does anyone know if there is a Starflight map on the web somewhere to download? It seems like a cool game but I need the map and the sucker is hard to find. If anyone knows please respond here, please!!! Thanks.
  17. I appreciate the responses. I checked out youtube and saw a few interesting videos on these guys (I don't usually visit youtube much). The Firecore console looks nice even though it's not compatible with the old Genesis add-ons (32X or Master System Converter) except controllers. Probably a good bet for those looking for a Genesis console without the risk of buying a (very) used one on ebay or from a dealer. Here's a good review: The GenMobile and RetroGen look nice as a Nomad replacement, I just hope that there's a decent level of quality control and durability like the Nomad. Gotta keep an eye on these! Here's a nice video of the handhelds: I love having the ability to play my Sonic's, awesome shooters, run & gun's, and sports games anywhere, anytime!
  18. I'm really excited about the new Firecore console and Retro Gen handheld systems but before jumping in with both feet I was wondering if anyone out there has used these systems and what you think of them. How reliable (sturdy) are they and do they play all the cartridges available to the Sega Genesis? I've started to see them on ebay this past week. Anyone with firsthand experience playing these systems, please let me know what your impressions are, thanks!
  19. Thanks for the quick response, I didn't know that. Atleast the codes worked on some of the other games so it's not a big deal. Thanks again.
  20. Finally got an SNES. For $50 on Craigslist I got a complete console with Super Mario World, Starfox, Axelay, Gradius III, Timeslip, Super Turrican, Tecmo Super Bowl, Madden 94, Madden 95, and a game genie. I looked up some game codes on gamewinners.com and tried the genie for Gradius III and Axelay. The genie works and it's pretty cool. Problem is, I tried the codes for Starfox (unlimited health, always 4 smart bombs, and unlimited energy) and none work. I get a blank screen when I start the game after entering the codes. I assume these are bad codes. Would anyone have game genie codes that work for Starfox? Thanks.
  21. Thanks, i've noticed their website. I don't recall them listing any refurbishing services but i'll inquire into it.
  22. Hey guys, I just got a Colecovision cheap with five carts and it's got problems. The screen characters and graphics have vertical lines all over the place, no matter which game is played. The controller is fine since the directionals and fire button works on my Atari 2600. For those of you who have sent Colecovision systems in for repair, how much has it cost to fix up, and who did you send it to? (based on previous threads here it seems like a choice between Old School Gamer and Ecoleco). Replies from all who have sent their system in for repair would be highly appreciated - thanks!!!
  23. Quick question: is the built-in Missile Command the exact same game as the loose cartridge (that comes in the large black box)?
  24. I've been playing Reactor recently and usually don't last long.
