    From MaximumPC - According to tech new site The Verge, internal builds of the next version of Windows 8.1 are set to boot to desktop mode by default: http://www.maximumpc.com/microsofts_update_windows_81_may_boot_directly_desktop_default2013 . In retail versions of Windows 8.1, users must enable this feature themselves, and it's not available in Windows 8.0 without moderate sub-system tweaking. The update contains several other tweaks, and we got the infos, so click away.
