For a more detailed background to the story, read this.

I just don't see the demand for a dedicated STEAM device when running the client on a platform of choice has been fine. I doubt the concept will do any better then it has previously. There is just no need. 😛

It amazes me that these days anyone still uses content produced by THE LAIRD. 🙄 Is it truly ignorance or laziness at this point?

Was it? Last I heard only 1 level was completed. From a 2017 video demonstration "The full game of Engine 2 was only released on the Amiga and sadly it wasn't in the same league as the original, the gameplay had changed, the rules had changed, the graphics had changed and sadly that resulted in this sequel not being fondly remembered.
Only 1 level of this game exists on the Megadrive / Genesis which is shown here before the software house decided to pull the plug."To be clear, I am not saying you are wrong, this is just the info I have but if it was completed that great, especially if a full rom is available somewhere?

I think James is playing his AVGN Character and giving the majority of his fans what they expect 😏 Come on now, those aren't serious reviews.

I know this picture from somewhere, but for the life of me, I cannot remember. Was it from an 80s computer game, or something like that? Where is this from?
Ha! That would be RAIN, one of the three "Storms" Rain / Thunder / Lightning, characters from John Carpenters awesome 80's epic Big Trouble in Little China! 😎 They serve the evil Villain Lo-Pan.
It's a pretty common pose / image for this character, I just ran it through a filter and liked the way it turned out. 😀

😏Flashback Video on the Texas Instruments Ti99/4a. Made this one back in 2011 and pretty much it's all been sitting in storage since so no need for a new video as it's pretty much just as relevant today I guess. 🤷♂️

Hey these posts are great. I am so old that I was so impressed with all of these early digital photo devices when they first appeared. Of course now it is all quite primitive compared to the quality we have in the most basic devices but in a way I almost feel it has come full circle, I mean I think it is cool seeing how creative we can be and how we can make use of all these classic imaging devices, looking at all the images posted in this thread I still think a lot of fun and creative expression can be had with them, it's even challenging and fun to me at least to see just how far we can push these old digital cameras.

Honestly, this does look pretty good and I agree it is reminiscent of Chaos Engine but not so much that art style which was awesome, style wise I really got more of a Zombies Ate My Neighbor's vibe (Snes/Genesis) which is not bad either, will it be near as good as either of those titles? Not sure but I am glad to see variety like this. 😎

Have you tried on some NES centric forums? Might be more interest from a community based around Nintendo specifically.

PlayStation - was anyone else impressed with the later revised consoles? I mean, I know they would follow a few years later after many revisions and better implementation, reduction of the chipset etc. basically, improved technology and yet I was pretty impressed with the smaller original PlayStation but man, with the mini slim version of the PlayStation 2? I couldn’t believe how tiny that thing was! 😮😎😍

🤨😆 If only they would actually DO THAT once in a while because it seems more often then not they simply license it out to whomever comes up with the cash and the name ends up on any old crap.

@Draxxon
So, I only own an Atari Flashback 2 which I quite like. I was never interested in them after AtGames took over and they became something else, that said form everything you have posted it seems worth considering. However I am confused by some things, if you could clarify, " Works on ALL Current Atari Flashback Systems: AFB 9 HDMI, 9 Gold, X, X Deluxe and both Late Model Xs.. ?" - So, as someone has has no other Flashback which is recommended, is their any advantage choosing one or the other since they would be flashed to change the stock roms/emulators anyways? Please if I could trouble you to explain in the simplest terms also an unmodified console, do I need to flash any of the previous offerings from the start of this thread or would I be good to go directly with your "Atari Flashback NEXUS - V.0.4.1" you just posted? Would that give me the best experience and options with one of these consoles? 🤔 THANKS.

😜 To skip my rambling fast forward to around the 6min 40 sec mark just before my first chip for hilarious results 😎
MY usual rambling and build up but feel free to go right to the 6 min 35 sec mark just before my first chip to see the real honest result. HINT worse reaction then I thought, no editing, what you see is what you get for better or worse....THANKS ATARICREEP FOR SUGGESTING THIS CRAZY VIDEO !

My unboxing of an classic Atari computer! Originally uploaded to VIMEO in 2012 I realized in 2017 I never uploaded it to my Youtube channel and corrected this asap. ANYWAY, it was a fun unboxing of a great machine I received from Bryan on Atariage and I still have! 😎
