The only hard part for me involving MAME was making the cheats work. That, and recording games with overlays or Hoei games.

Installing and configuring MAME is an excellent test of basic computer literacy.

I watched one of the Clone Wars DVDs and was pretty underwhelmed. Seemed like your average kids show with the worst-era Star Wars license slapped on.

I think I saw this episode on Stargate SG-1. I bet that thing was full of Naquadah.

@jetset, Well, download from questionable sites, click every banner ad, when the browser window reports you got 1000 Virus detected (even though you were not doing a scan) download the software they recommend! DON'T Keep your Antivirus definitions updated! OH WAIT YOUR NOT A IDIOT !

I use Windows 8 every day in my job as a tech service manager, and have had to perform several diagnostics and repairs on the machine. There are no excuses for some of the decisions they made. Call me a hater if you want!

That is a good deal, and it is good to have the overlays (you'll need them for that game).

Another 2600 commercial I do not remember. Pretty good deal though, I wonder if they still honor it...

So it becomes priority. Last night I FINALLY had a moment to actually sit down with a session on original Xbox I got form Mark and played CoinOps / N64 / 2600 / Genesis / Snes / GBA / etc, and realized how much I missed actually PLAYING and I honestly didn't care it was all emulated on one box. Then I thought about all the stuff packed away in storage taking up needless space...

So yeah, I am thinking honestly, I will keep the systems I already have a flashcart for (2600/5200/Colecovision/TG16) as well as a few favourite system NES / 2600 and some others but sell & trade multiple consoles, variations etc. Just getting rid of duplicate systems and accessories will help tremendously and focus my collection.

Lastly I really need to just "let go" of any system I just never really got into, the ones I collected just because I got a good deal but never really appreciated. I relize it is subjective of course but for me I don't really have any fondness for the likes of CoCo2 / Ti994a etc, I know they are a treasure to some but by god I have played and enjoyed CDi and 3DO more. Why have those instead of building on the systems I REALLY do like?

@Keetah No never said it was, of course technology just gets better but personally I did not expect this level of quality this soon.

3 years ago I been say'n IGp's were going to rival discrete. If I had a dollar for each time I got laughed at.. Except for the specialty and gamer market, there is no need for graphics cards anymore. A great thing to be sure!

@Keetah well "rival" is jumping the gun, discrete cards still better for serious gaming and video rendering. Integrated clearly cannot compete with a high end card. Sure for HD video and gaming they are certainly improving by leaps and bounds but a long way off from being a total replacement.
