  1. It has been on life support and a virtual ghost town for ages. Sad as it was once THE PLACE (besides here of course ) For all things Classic Gaming related. But honestly it has been a shadow of it's former self for years and very recently there have been some posts by head moderators / admins suggesting that it may indeed just pass on into oblivion. My visiting of late has been more out of some misplaced sense of loyalty than anything but it seems like many such sites those who run it are moving on to better things or simply have lost the motivation to continue.
  2. HOLY CRAP STOP SPAMMING UP THE BOARDS. You could of made a single thread to recruit and push your site.
  3. Oh THANKS I could not for the life of me remember the name! I can tell you I DID watch the video and pretty much his assessment was that it was PERFECT in every way, everything he tested was flawless and it was shown in a very favorable light. Maybe the video and his disappearance is coincidental but still....MAYBE IT IS THE SEEDI CURSE lol
  4. Seedi console BS? WHO SEEN THAT COMING? You know a funny thing? IMHO Metal Jesus video was fair pointing out the flaws and things not working too well. ALSO a couple weeks ago there was another youtuber, I do not recall the name, typically a Sega fan apparently had a prototype and he had a long video that pretty much showed it as being flawless, perfect and he was acting totally supportive, I am guessing he was in on it or getting some type of kickback because I went looking for the same video a couple days ago to post on atariage and I am positive the video has Totally disappeared, I think in my history I found the link and the video was "NO LONGER AVAILABLE" lol, BIG SURPRISE, it is a external CD hooked up to a Orange Pi, WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL FALLING FOR THIS CRAP???????? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=810vxe3xcnY&app=desktop
  5. Oddly though I cannot claim to be much a fan of the Sega CD I certainly have my share of hardware, had the original unit back in the day and even the 2nd smaller fliptop unit at one point, those are long since gone but still today I have a SegaCDX as well as a JVC X'eye so I can still play the discs. Admittedly it was the idea of the massive CD storage medium that attracted me back in the day, also I AM a fan of several FMV games though I am not a fan of RPG's so although the SegaCD had it's share of such titles I prefer where possible to play my FMV games on either my 3DO or even my CDi with FMV module as both of those had much better FMV output, Dragon's Lair, Sewer Shark etc looked closer to VHS quality compared to the SegaCD's grainy low color and low resolution output. Still I DID enjoy Silpheed as well as a few other titles making my SegaCD compatible devices worth keeping at the very least great collectors items from an interesting era of gaming.
  6. So....thinking about getting my eyes tattooed....

There needs to be a tax funded PSA to get the word out to the general public about the dangers of this procedure!!

People who come here only to post snarky political BS in the status updates (as I noticed him doing on several occasions) shouldn't be here at all, IMHO. This is a place for classic computers and games.

  8. Are you kidding? What Nintendo said? They are hardly ones for sticking to their word when it comes to supply promises.
  9. Hmmm going to look into this as I have a couple older Android tablets with built in game-pads!
  10. Reminds me back in the day as a kid I would be thankful of 2600 carts in ANY condition and I guess I was more creative and had more time in those days as I would literally create new labels with sticky paper, colored pencils and I would even cover them over top with Magic Tape in an attempt to preserve / protect my work. While they were hardly magnificent works of art they were creative and original and damn I wish I had kept them over the years.
  11. True it does state on the funding page that it is NOT a RaspberryPi and possibly one reason they have been very specific about that is more than a few sources seem to be under the impression it is likely the OrangePi in a custom case since the microUSB, HDMI & microSD slots line up exactly with that board.
  12. Horrible name and seems to be a External CD ROM drive with a RaspberryPi shoved in perhaps? Another one to be wary of for sure. Actually name might be appropriate, seems damn Seedi to me....... Order now and receive a knockoff PS2 Controller !!!!
  13. Ebay to highest bidder and let the market decide.................
  14. ? What does that mean? Just add pics to a post in this thread.........we see nothing..........
  15. The final ROM stripped and available. It has been posted in some Facebook groups and hosting sites. I just use it with emulators.
  16. Ugh guys thought I got lucky...found in recycling a mint looking iPhone 5s....I connected it to wife charge cable but it will not even turn on DOH ! Too good to be true........

did you look up the ways you can revive an iPhone on the interwebs? Could be locked up and needs to be reset. Combo of button presses or holding in the power button while doing this or that. I forget now, but it should start, even with a dead battery when it's plugged in... assuming it's not totally borked. Someone dropped in the toilet or something... lol

Yep believe me I was all over that lol.It looks pristine so I am thinking yeah was dropped in liquid, person waited for it to dry out but no luck, I tried everything. Oddly many things I have found in our Electronics recycling from DVD recorders to PC hardware have all been fine so I took a chance.

I keep a retired iPhone 4 in one of those little iON arcade cabs out by the bar. Keep meaning to load it up with games, but somehow can't find the desire to screw around with it like that. Looks cool sitting in the tiny cab though. lol

  18. Just to add for those wondering about the integrity / history of those currently involved with "ATARIBOX" here is something to consider posted now by Larry Bundy on Facebook - Pasted exactly from his original post CREDIT / THANKS to Larry Bundy! Larry Bundy 2 hrs · Anyone who is thinking in investing in that AtariBox, I seriously recommend you have a long, hard think about doing so. The project is run by a man with a track record of abandoned kickstarters and using either Chinese knock-offs or over the counter items you could easily build yourself. He screwed up his USB memory wristband Kickstarter so much, he ended up sending all the backers an email on how to build them themselves >.> Anyhoo, here's a video on his previous projects: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujKxVNEHVS0
  19. Well with these recent Email updates and articles appearing get ready for several new threads on "ATARIBOX" from newbies and people who do not search the forums thinking they are first to break the news to our community! " https://venturebeat.com/2017/09/25/ataribox-runs-linux-on-amd-chip-and-will-cost-at-least-249/ I am hoping the factor that wakes people to reality is over pricing and the Indigogo RED FLAG (to little actually comes of most Indigogo funding and many just bolt with everyone's money without delivering anything) , the fact that "ATARI" could not even use Kickstarter instead is very telling, we will have to wait and see, priced right I would consider it just for the case and styling (knowing full well support is likely to be lame) - overall ever since earlier talks about PC technology I have to say this is about EXACTLY what I was expecting, in other words a low powered PC hardware box with Linux core that streams with apps etc. THIS IS LIKE A THOUSAND OTHER STREAMING BOXES you can import from cheap Chinese sites like AliExpress / DX . com etc. It seems about the only thing that will set it apart (IF IT EVEN COMES TOGETHER AS THEY CLAIM) is the addition of bundled Atari games (emulated like on Android on I am guessing) and a 2600 theme / styling. Even just as that could have been a fun impulse grab at the right pricing level just for collectors purposes but it is sounding like that styling along with the logo / licensing and bundle of Atari games is exactly why they seem to feel they can waaaaaay over charge for this. If that is the case I think I will just get a similar device at a 3rd of the cost and simply slap on some woodgrain MAKtac, install my own emulated Atari games and call it a day. Sure it may not be "official" but it will be something likely almost as good if not better. TRY TO REMEMBER FOLKS THIS IS NOT REALLY "ATARI" IT IS SIMPLY A NAME / LICENSE / IP acquired by people looking to bank on your love and nostalgia for the original company. Some, actually many people always seem to want to believe that it is something more, it really isn't. And hey that is fine, even I would buy into something like this merely for that Atari logo if it were priced at an impulse buy level but it does not look like that will be the case so imho buying into and supporting such crap tells these companies how gullible and accepting we are to buy into ANYTHING and ANY PRICE, vote with your dollars folks and send the proper message.
