I always find it funny when people are so obssessed and determined trying to get their latest version of Windows to act / behave like a previous version. You know if you actually adapted to those annoying new changes YOU MAY just find after a while that you actually like the new features and changes and find it hard to go back to the old ways! I know I did! OK now let all the excuses, whining and comments about why I am wrong begin....NOW!

@atarian63 as someone who follows these things yeah, whatever. All I know is on my experience Vista was a memory and resource hog while Windows 7 seems to be everything that was promised with Vista and more. Win7 may "be" Vista but even with all the updates, fixes and patches Vista still sucks in comparison. I have used both extensively so I speak from experience.

I generally run Windows XP in "Windows Classic" mode with the classic Start Menu, but beyond that, I agree with your point about making a new OS look like an old OS. I also agree that Windows 7 is not "the same thing" as Windows Vista. There's some code reuse, but that's true with all versions of Windows. In my experience, 7 is the OS that Vista should have been. Makes me glad I skipped Vista.

Hey anyone know where I can download manual / instructions for Asciipad Sg-6 Game Pad for Sega Genesis ? I think some buttons are programmable but not sure how. If anyone can point me to a lik or scan it for me then groovy.

Geez I have several original CD's that I have not listened to in so long they are all dusty in the storage rack. I really don't see ever using them but in this small city (Kelowna, BC, Canada) I cannot even find a way to unload them.....

Don't get me wrong, I LIKE modern gaming, or at least semi modern, I have many great memories on PS2, original XBOX, Nintendo DS etc, but I swear the more I play modern games itsometimes dawns on me that lately I am really not having any more fun then I did on colecovision / 2600 or even the AMIGA.

YEP, I have no Wii or 360 and my 360 is Error 74 though I have a decent gaming PC. I hated that all the modern consoles require an internet connection, DLC, patches, in short they have become much too "PC" like, I don't mind it ON my PC where I expect it but consoles have lost the edge of just load game and go, no fuss.....

And honestly if you ask me I think that lots of modern games are made for dim types and numb skulls. There's no imagination required! You don't have to imagine you're on an elite squadron mission to Epsilon 9 when you encounter an Asteroids field that you have to blast! Or imagine that you're on some great Adventure, or that youre ET or something like that. YOu just pick up a controller and start shooting soldiers in the face to releive tension and you dont even really...

Just bought a 32x on EvilBay. With model 1 Genesis, I already have a model 1 but I know this comes with PSU and that damn connection cable for model 1, cheaper than conmplete 32x's that I could find! Need it for my EVERDRIVE DELUXE that will be coming!
