    My expectations on this have been and remain very low since the first mention of "Ataribox". At best I expect some type of Android emulation box, at worst well....Coleco Chameleon anyone? Been burned too many times with promises, hype and fancy rendered images, I wait until something people can get their hands on before I allow any excitement to build.

    NOPE, I also own a Retron 3 and I defy anyone who owns this exact console to take a deep sniff and NOT notice that yes it does indeed have a very distinct chemical odor, my wife and others that have seen it will attest to that. I have many other cheap import consoles and handhelds but only the Retron 3 from the moment I first opened the package to today simply smells......I do not think it is a DNA thing because I have seen and heard this complaint from several people that own a Retron 3. In my history of collecting I have never noticed this in anything else, smoke maybe from some households but I bought it brand new to my door and it was apparent immediately.

    Many saw a Snes mini coming, they will pull same crap with limited availability feeding the scalpers market and make crying Nintendo fanboys. I will stick to the million other ways I have to play Snes roms,,,,,,,Personally I would only be interested in aN64 one because there are no N64 clones, oh not interested enough to get one or bother trying but I think it would be cool.

    Geez does anyone ever use the search feature before posting a "new" topic? I mean I can understand maybe sometimes but when that topic involves ATARI pretty good chance there is already a thread or 3 about it lol. Most of us are waaaaaaay ahead of you.

    Based on PC Technology and able to emulate classic ATARI ? Finally!!!!!!!......oh wait.........been doing that for years........oh that's right, now it will have the "official" license from "Atari" which of course has nothing to do with the Atari we all knew and loved but hey, it's official! Just more whoring of the Atari brand to us desperate for Atari Nostalgia of years gone by. So far the Retron77 seems more interesting imho.

    Honestly while I agree, the responses he has given back to you are typical of someone who knows full well they are scamming. THAT SAID, I don't get as upset over these things as I use to because honestly anyone willing to drop $1000 on something like this not having any idea what they are doing well imho that puts them in the "Douchenozzle" category just as much as the seller / scammer. You can spend endless days finding and getting worked up over nonsense like this, hell you might even manage to get some removed but in the end there are a thousand more scammers / sellers in line to take their place and stupid buyers to entice them. I got to the point where I realized if people getting into this hobby are willing to throw large sums around without research or knowledge well, buyer beware and all that.
