I am not a techy guy all I know is none of my browsers currently allow me to the site let alone log in. THANKS. Admittedly, I am simple minded when it comes to business and I know nothing so just my very uneducated observation when I say this but isn't it funny when a business or service is under new management if customers are in debt or owe something not much changes for the customer BUT when the business / service had a prior agreement with the customer it's all "Well we are not obligated and it has nothing to do with us" lol. I have attempted to reach the GameGavel site with 3 latest versions of Internet Explorer / Firefox / Chrome but I get a warning about expired security certificate. Below is the Internet Explorer example - Otherwise, all I have to say is GameGavel a few years back is actually the only site I ever sold anything on to date. I also got in early with lifetime free membership and having never sold anything online ever admittedly I was overwhelmed with the idea of Ebay so to test the waters I put my little minor item on GG and sold it a short time later. So that was my ONLY experience with it as it was, no problem. Yes for some time now I have notice very sparse listings as well as more and more everything seems to be BUY IT NOW as well not really seeing a lot of value in what is even listed. Hopes that GG would ever even be a minor player in the video game auction business were dashed over the years. It seems like despite the problems and complaints Ebay is to auction as Facebook is to Social Media and Google is to Search Engines as Windows is to operating systems, YES you can bitch and moan about all the downsides but they are all the Kings in their field as far as user awareness and being the default that the masses will use first. Giant corporations run everything so it is very tough for challengers in any given service to find a presence in the market. I do not envy anyone trying to take them on let alone compete in a profitable way.

Well I do not use mine because I have like a dozen other ways to play 2600 carts, so mine remains packed away with most of my collection. Also I have a 2nd one bought from a user here that modded it so, get this, it operates in the 5200 as normal however it also works as a standalone 2600 with it's own power supply and audio / video hookups! I love that thing!

Greed for sure but at this point I have to blame people stupid enough to buy at this price. If you are into retro collecting or gaming and do not know by this point about at least Googling HARMONY CARTRIDGE well that is kind of on you. Money to spend but cannot be bothered to research for 10 seconds? A fool and his money are soon parted. There have always been and always will be people that take advantage, people need to learn how to spend wisely and there is no excuse in this day and age.

You say that as if it mattered. It is about perception and marketing. Back in the VCR days a big seller was a gizmo labeled VCR+, Description of the VCR+ " A VCR remote control type device for setting your VCR to record programming. By typing in a multi-digit code into the VCR+, you don’t have to manually program the VCR for each recording." This was a big seller, WHY ? Because it was marketed as a way to simplify that apparently impossible task of manually programming a VCR to record TV. And back in the day it was such a thing that over the years you can find many examples of jokes, skits, parodies all based on how complicated VCR programming was. BUT GUESS WHAT? "Setting up" a VCR+ for one's particular brand of machine and actually using it was certainly NOT any simpler or easier than actually reading the manual and learning to manually program your VCR. But that did not matter as that was public perception, they believed it was easier and so they bought into it. Point being the majority of non techy types instantly equate a computer with being complicated, they would not take the time to learn there was literally no difference in hooking or a console or computer, they have not got time for that! Their perception was computers must be more difficult and therefore it was even if people like you or I knew better

From what I remember the cable from Amiga is VIDEO ONLY, for audio you do indeed need to connect the audio out to the monitor or an external amplifier of some sort but for sure I know the video cable does NOT carry audio as well. What model monitor are you using (1084 , 1084s etc ) also is it NTSC / PAL? My memories are hooking up Amiga A500 / A1200 to 1084's monitors but audio was always separate from the thicker video display cable.
