It's a nice anime style drawing, but parents 'back in the day' (and even now) would have freaked over the open zipper in the shorts!
Haha, true.
Though, even with the zipper closed, the image would still evoke disgust by the parents "back in the day" and now.
Well, put a helmet on her then!

In the meantime, Blarginatorr, keep drawing your anime woman! It is fun to see what you come up with her.Sure, though, I havent really drawn this character for some while now, so I'll just dig my archives.
Here's one that goes more in the "Tecmo/Team Ninja" silly category.
Lynx character trying to be like the rollerskate girl from California games, however, as the Lynx version of that game didnt have the actual Rollerskate game, she isnt too good at skating.

ARGH, this is so making me want one, and I don't even have a 7800! If I try to go for both the wife'll KILL me. ARGH ARGH!
Hmm, maybe I should convince my parents to order it for me instead.
"So what do you want for Christmas?"
"An Atari 7800 and Expansion Module!"
"What? You're 35 and it's 2010 and you want WHAT?"
*sigh*
Random ranting done with. Keep up the excellent work, all of you guys.

Bentley was used in some educational titles (I think they were ST only?) and according to Wikipedia he's in a Jaguar game, and then the conversions of Crystal Castles for the 400/800, XE and 2600 (was there even a 7800 version)? Certainly never on the Lynx, sadly, CC is a nice game.

And this one is off the table! Thanks for the interest!

Yep I know. I have a modified XM301 with SIO2SD, passthrough SIO and SIO2PC/serial. And a NIB XM301. I don't need a third

Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to plug everything in and test it out until tonight. The disk loads fine, even loaded a RAMdisk on a 130XE. It detected the modem OK, and the dialer seems to work. I can't tell much more than that because we don't have a phone line in the house. Also, I never saw the red LED on top light up, I don't remember if this requires a connection or not. But again, if anyone just wants to have one for their Atari collection, I'm willing to ship worldwide, just make an offer.

Wait, shouldn't we make him start a CL thread since this is the eBay one?

Or just call it Dragon Saga LX.

If the TV has RCA jacks for composite video in and Right/Left video in, yes it will work. Usually it's an AUX input, and can even be found on some models of flat panels. The plugs you are looking for on the TV are color coded yellow/red/white.
Hi,
The tv (older Panasonic crt tv) has one video and one audio input jack.
The cable would provide a color picture on this?
Thanks.
It should, yes. We have an old RCA tv/vcr combo at our house with video and one audio input jack and I had an XEGS working on it in full color a couple of months ago.

We could all of us "what if" ourselves to death here. I _do_ wish that some of the upgrades and peripherals discussed in 83-85 would/could surface in one way or another, but I don't lose sleep over it. I'm tickled pink to be able to back up my own personal documents to flash media and run games on my 8bits the same way. The Lynx was love at first sight for me, and even though I briefly owned an ST, it just wasn't the same for me as my 8bits. Some things I do wonder about, but entirely academically (again, none of this keeps me up at night, just things to think about):
If the right people had held onto Atari in 1983 (Warner? Someone else?), would they have had the Amiga, or wound up with something more like Apple's IIgs?
If the TTs and Falcons had taken off in the 1990s, what would have been next? TS computers? (Thirty-two/sixty-four)?
And maybe the biggest what if - what if Bushnell had said yes to Steve and Steve in the 70s and there had never been an Apple?
Maybe he would have let them set up their own shop a la Kee Games? -
If the iPad is the new iPod, is the new Nook an Atari Lynx?
Ouch?

Got a 27 year old 1200XL working again!!!
Made in the U.S.A. in the 15th week of 1983.
83S DA 021087 153
Given that bob1200XL has 83S DA 000399, that means the U.S. Atari factory was putting out at least ~20,000+ a month!
Just got to love that keyboard!! (When it works)
Played a BASIC game I wrote back in 1982/83 when I was 18 years old. No artifacting, but it bought back the memories!
I used to solve my algorithm problems for my guided missiles in the game "Mission Moscow" while stocking milk and beer at a local convenience store. Yah, I know, I'm a geek!!
Way cool. Post some photos if you get a chance!

The Newton, Lynx and Psion device I agree with, the portable video player I don't, and Sony's first e-reader, eh maybe. I think I would have picked Apple's early grey bulky 640x480 QuickTake digital cameras and the Handspring cell phone. But that's just me.

Going through a box I acquired recently, I found an XM301 modem with manual and XETerm diskette. I'll try to test modem and disk in the next day or two, but I already have an XM301 NIB, so I'd be willing to trade this to anyone who wants it, make me an offer!
Yes, I know the NIB ones aren't even worth that much, that's why I'm not bothering with eBay and paying THEM to take the chance nobody's interested

(please excuse the blurry, i was either exceited or i am diabetic and have mild tremors :')

Nice pictures regardless! I'm still trying to figure out why I can't get mine to work, I would have left it alone and just played those games!

did you try it will all 3 buttons down? if it isnt in 16k mode, and on, it wont work... also is yours the SRAM model? may not have programmed those...
sloopy.
SRAM in Silver, yep! I'm not going to get to it tonight, the wife is down with a cold.

Won a 1030 modem over the weekend! Now I've got a 1030 with box and XM301 NIB. Just need the 830, 835 and SX212!
I have a SX212 in box and one loose... How badly you want one

That largely depends on what do you want for it?

It was an interesting arrangement. He got the Jaguar base system and some games for Christmas one year, and I bought the CD-ROM drive later, so we could both share it. But aside from pack-in games, neither one of us really remembers what other games we had!
-
Ah you're the one who won that SpaceWar auction. I don't know anything about the game other than what was posted in the auction. Is there a kind of write up about it anywhere? Screenshots?

The AtariLab has paddle plugins using its RCA connectors. How hard would it be to modify a kit like that article?

So for those of us who are, as Bob1200XL put it, "dangerous with a soldering iron" are there any prospects for something like this becoming an external unit? Or no, because the 65XEs and XEGS lack the ECI slots?
