  1. Sure. PM me your address and I'll ship the manuals. Thanks a bunch!
  2. Do you ship to Canada? If so, I would be interested in Pitfall and Combat.
  3. And it comes complete with a hernia!
  4. Have fun putting out those flaming w's!
  5. Oh, god. I had to go through 15 minutes of beans and "The Lingerer" when I watched his show before the guest I wanted to see came on.
  6. It's disturbing knowing that there are people out there that think game systems from barely over 10 years ago would sell for "like $800 bucks, man."
  7. A guy on a local classifieds site has a boxed 4 switch woody for sale, $20. He says it comes with paddles and joysticks. I just emailed him to see if he still has it. If he does, should I buy it? Sounds pretty good to me, but what do I know?
  8. I like medieval RPG-y games. I'd like to get some more, particularly for the NES. I have: Castlequest, Defender of the Crown, Wizardry, Dragon Warrior, Shadowgate, Faxanadu, Legacy of the Wizard, Hydlide, Swords and Serpents, Dungeon Magic, Final Fantasy, Wizards and Warriors, both Zelda games, and Ghosts 'n' Goblins. I've heard a lot of praise for Crystalis, but I've read that Scheherazade and Willow are good too. So... what games of that type should I get next?
  9. Just finished playing a bit of Shadowgate.
  10. I'd like to know how to burn a rom onto a NES cart.
  11. From the manual... "NOTE: Although DEMONS TO DIAMONDS was primarily designed for children in the 6 to 12 age range, we find that people of all ages enjoy this engaging game." Why was Demons and Diamonds designed for kids 6-12? Doesn't seem like a "kid" game to me.
  12. Both of my parents were/are gamers. We never got a 2600 until sometime after the crash. I wasn't even alive in the 1980s so I don't know how often my parents played then. I do know that my parents liked Kaboom! (they lent their cart out to somebody and never got it back) and my mom likes Carnival. My mom still likes playing Carnival. When the NES came out, my parents probably played it as much as us kids! My mom liked the Mario series and played a lot of Legend of Zelda and Adventure of Link - she got pretty far in those games! My dad liked Overworld, Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy. When we got our N64, my mom played Ocarina of Time and Tarzan, while my dad played Command and Conquer, Rainbow Six, and both 007 games. My dad plays his PS2 daily, and loves his PC games. Once in a blue moon he drags out the NES and plays Dragon Warrior. My mom spends a fair bit of time on Pogo, and she'll sometimes join me in a 2600 game.
  13. My dad played it more than I did (SNES version). The only thing I was half-decent as was the parachuting course. Now I have the theme song/failing a course song stuck in my head...
  14. Besides the 2600, I have a NES, SNES, Game Boy, N64, PS1, Game Boy Advance, PS2, and a PS3.
  15. I have five crushed game boxes for Defender, Asteroids, Missile Command, Berzerk, and Yars' Revenge. I'd like to spiff them up - make them look full and not-so-crushed. I was thinking of sticking a block of styrofoam in each box, but I don't have any on hand. What should I do? Should I leave them as-is or restoring their previous shape?
  16. I have a Shadowgate cart that isn't working. The contacts aren't dirty - but I'm missing six of them on each side! Is there any way I can fix it, or am I stuck with a non-working cart?
  17. Just finished playing a game of Circus Atari. My score was 1110. How true that is
  18. My Frogger label fell off. What should I do to re-attach it to the cart? Should I use a gluestick? I also have a copy of Q-Bert with a ripped/torn end label. Someone tried to re-affix it with tape. Should I just leave it like that, or should I try and take the tape off?
  19. I always read it as 'complete in box.' I agree with everyone else; Circus Atari is a must-have.
  20. What if he's like me, and buys whole lots of Atari games, and is left over with a bunch of common dupes? What's wrong with that?
