Interesting. I've never seen just the production ROM. Should be interesting to see where that one lands.

I got two similar eBay-type phishing scams recently; a Payment Sent E-Mail (addressed personally to me, with my real name!), and most recently a supposed "Ask Seller a Question" from a "buyer" asking where his package was and threatening to report me. This last one was particularly amusing as it was a pure cut 'n paste job from the "Ask Seller" E-mail, including the "Your real name is used to verifty this as a legitimate eBay E-Mail" line -- except neither my real name nor my eBay identity were anywhere in the E-Mail.

Cant get Alternate Reality The City to work!
Mindfield replied to paradigm76's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
1. Download Atari800Win. 2. Download ATR disk images of Alternate Reality. 3. Enjoy AR like it was meant to be. -
Yeah, Coleco used cheap boxes and good glue -- even a heat gun won't get one of those open without curling the flaps.
-
File an Item Significantly Not As Described and ship it back to him priority. It ought to only take a day or two, you'll have tracking to back you up and he'll have a problem on his hands.
-
Holy crap. That went a great deal cheaper than I was expecting it to -- even in spite of the controllers.

Mindfield's Purge Sale ... is now on eBay
Mindfield replied to Mindfield's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
A copy of Stella, not an original (hence, free). I sold it for pretty much what I bought it for -- ironically, to the person that sold the unit to me in the first place. (The box I got at a swap meet) -
What is the deal with this Target Fun?
Mindfield replied to holygrailvideogames.com's topic in Auction Central
Looks more like "crayon fun" to me. -

Glad you like them. Doesn't my printer do a convincing job? Glad they arrived okay! -
Mindfield's Purge Sale ... is now on eBay
Mindfield replied to Mindfield's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Okay, everyone who's ordered and paid for stuff have as of now had their stuff shipped out, so some of you should be expecting stuff as soon as the end of the week and others next week or later depending on location, date of order and method of shipment chosen. I've never waded through such a Huge Pile of Ship in my life. That said I'll be posting a pile of manuals in a separate thread, probably tomorrow, and by probably the end of this weekend (since I haven't had time to really devote to anything but shipping) whatever's not sold from this pile will go up on eBay. For real this time. -
Has anyone I've traded with here had a bad exp?
Mindfield replied to RickHarrisMaine's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Wow ... that must have been right after I got out of neurosurgery. Aw shucks, t'weren't nothin'. -
I wonder if they'll report the money they make from these sales?

Mindfield replied to RickHarrisMaine's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I can't recall if I've bought anything from you Rick, but I know I've sold some things to you. In any event however I've never had reason to complain or think you deceitful or anything. -
Any chance it's coincidence that the high bidder is named "trwilliams3?" (Not that it's a shill, but perhaps a major Williams nut)

LONG LIVE BIG SEXY! down with 'heavy sixer' ungh.
Mindfield replied to Godzilla's topic in Atari 2600
Great. You've given 'Zilla a Big Sexy Orgy. Now we'll never see him online. But in case you do 'zilla, remember: Protein gets out protein. -

I still have 007 available in my sale thread in case you're interested. And Gremlin -- big pile pics in that thread, too, in case you need something else to satisfy your sense of feng shui.

I say go for something subtle. Replace all the images with pictures of the original Pong. Or some text in the same font as the auction listing some really absurd "polcies" and "shipping information" as if he did it himself.
-
Must be an American transplant from deep in the Ozarks.
-
Sweet. Gotta put a bid in for that, just for the hell of it. Shame about the sticks -- but I'm sure it could be repaired; SVAII sticks would work fine as transplant donors.

Mindfield's Purge Sale ... is now on eBay
Mindfield replied to Mindfield's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Few-days-left bump! I'll be a little busy this weekend shipping stuff and slapping the new system together so I probably won't have time to put up any auctions, so I'll let things run through the weekend and see how they go. -
I'm sure everyone knows by now where I'm at on that issue. :-) I still have the best games out of my collection though -- those aren't going anywhere. I feel pretty darn good about it, too! I've already bought the parts for my uber-rig upgrade and will be picking them up this weekend, and I'm not done with the sale yet. And eventually I'll get to start the whole process over again! (This is a good thing) Good luck Adam. Hope you get some good coin for 'em.

Yeah -- I can guarantee mine is NTSC. The "P" on the end label stands for "Precious." Really. (I keed. I keed.) In all my time collecting this is the only one I've ever owned, and I've only ever seen one other that was definitely NTSC. There's an lvar of Obelix too (gray label) that I think is also available in both PAL and NTSC.
