  1. Sure, I'll keep you in mind if someone takes just the system.
  2. I've got a spare gaming/multimedia PC hanging around that isn't getting much use, as I've already got my main PC, a laptop, and a Macbook, so I'm selling it off. Highlights include quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM, 1.5TB of storage, good video card, Windows 7 Ultimate, and more. There's also an optional LCD monitor below. Here are the details: Case: Thermaltake Element S mid, like new CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition, 2.5GHz Quad Motherboard: Asus M3A79-T Deluxe Memory: 8GB (4x2GB) OCZ DDR2-1066 Dual Channel (5-5-5-15) HDD1: Maxtor DiamondMax 500GB SATA2 (ST3500630AS) (7200/16MB Cache) HDD2: Maxtor DiamondMax 500GB SATA2 (ST3500630AS) (7200/16MB Cache) HDD3: Western Digital Caviar 500GB SATA2 (WD5000AAKS-00A7B0) (7200/32MB Cache) (boot) DVDRW: Samsung Black 22x LightScribe, SATA Video: eVGA GeForce 260GTX-OC TwinFrozr Audio: On-board HD Audio OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit full (MSDN), official, activated Speakers: Logitech 2.1 speakers PSU: 650W Corsair Also included with this package is the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate (came as a set with the 64-bit version; uses the same key, so it's also activated, but note that if you use this you will not be able to use the full 8 gigs of RAM, you'll get about 3 gigs), as well as Windows XP Pro 64-bit (also MSDN, also activated on this rig) in case you'd prefer to go old school. Legit keys are on the backs of each of the OS sleeves. Whatever original drivers CDs that came with the various bits of hardware (motherboard, video) will be included. I have at least some of the original boxes too if you want those. Asking: $750 US SOLD! Optional: Samsung SyncMaster 2343BWX 23" widescreen LCD monitor (2048x1152). Monitor is still under warranty, I think 'til August '10. Like new. Asking: $125 US when purchased with system. Sorry, will not part out, and will only sell the monitor separately if a buyer takes the system only. Everything works perfectly. There are no defects or issues to speak of, it runs smooth as silk. I built it out of a combination of new parts and some components from my previous main rig when I upgraded this past summer. None of the components have ever been overclocked except for the video card, which came in an OC config from the factory. Will not ship; this setup is big and heavy and I wouldn't trust Canada Post with it any further than I could throw them. Pickup is available in Brampton (Steeles/Main (Hurontario)) behind Shopper's World mall. I'm afraid I don't drive, so I can't deliver. Serious inquiries only. Lowballers will be branded and shunned by the village. Any (serious) questions, please ask away. I also Have Acer Aspire 16.9 Laptop CPU: Intel? 5. http://shop.ebay.ca/merchant/retrogaming.d...QQ_fromZQQ_ipgZ Bid away or better yet BIN
  6. There's no 15% in there. The final value fees are 8.75% of the first $25, plus 3.25% of the remaining closing value up to $1,000, and an additional 1.5% of the remaining closing value over $1,000 (the latter of which doesn't apply here). Also, the $14 figure I quoted ($14.10 to be specific) is in Canadian funds, so that's about $12.60 US at current exchange rates. eBay fees aren't actually that bad. Of course, PayPal is going to take their chunk, too. (2.9% + $0.30)
  7. The power of having friends. Hey, every little bit helps in this crappy economy. Plus, the money's going to help me get me out of the (admittedly rather small) cycle of debt I've gotten myself into, plus get me a few nice iPhone apps to play and review. (Gotta have some personal gain for such a tragic parting. )
  8. For what it's worth, my total fees for this auction were $14, including all listing and final value fees, so it's not that bad. It would have been a couple of dollars more, but eBay's stupid script screwed up when I tried to set a reserve (couldn't close the setting window), and it ended up not adding one. That's sort of what I was hoping, that it would go to a collector and not a reseller. I had one of those asking about the auction -- dude sells heavy sixers for $150 a pop (eesh!) Being that this is my personal collection with the stuff I had wanted to keep, I wanted to see it go to a good home.
  9. Congrats to the.golden.ax for the win! You've scored some good stuff.
  10. I almost had one of everything at my peak. (Well, almost one of everything released on this land mass, anyway.) Mostly I was missing the really expensive ones. Good times, good times. Yes, I am kind of surprised I still managed to have something you don't, especially since, except for the homebrews, hacks and repros, the rest of it is common to slightly rare. (And even a few of the homebrews/hacks are still available in the AA store.) Mostly I just kept the stuff that were personal favourites or would be incredibly hard to replace. Some of them (most of the dupes) are leftover crappy spares I had lying around.
  11. I try not to do it in public, but sometimes you're left with no other alternative... Thanks. Yeah, we're good, 'cept for the slightly sticky money thing, but we'll live.
  12. Thanks. Yeah, I kinda feel guilty for just coming here to "flog my shit" but not being able to talk about my latest acquisitions kinda takes some of the fun out of it. Still though I do miss this place even in spite of a lack of anything resembling a collection anymore.
  13. Heh ... well, let's just say I have plenty of 2600 in virtual space to tide over my 2600 cravings whenever they arise until such time as I can afford (and have the time) to get my collection back piecemeal. I do miss those days, I just haven't had the time to revisit them.
  14. Hello old friend. Sorry you have to sell it, but you can allways collect it back, when you have more time. I hope you are doing fine otherwise. I put a little bid on it. I love homebrews. HHW Hello to you too. I should start hanging around here again. I miss this place, even if I don't have a collection to talk about. Yeah, most of it I can collect again, though some of it's going to be pretty tough to regain. (The limited editions in particular.) I love the homebrews myself -- that was actually the hardest part of putting this auction up, but ... c'est la vie.
  15. Yeah, it's kinda painful, but such is life. To be honest though I just haven't had the time to do much of anything besides work and my iPhone projects; I haven't even broken out the system in a couple of years, so while it was nice knowing it was there for whenever I wanted to break it out, I've had to be realistic and face the fact that I can't forsee any time when I'll be able to. Things are just too hectic right now. Thanks. Except for some of the dupes, this was all the stuff I wanted to keep to myself.

  22. prices are in Canadian funds G1 apple touch bundle . Here are the details and what's included in the package: - 32GB model, purchased about a week after it was released (Feb. 15th, 2008 or so); week 5 model. - Full-body skin (Best Skins Ever) applied the moment I took it out of the box, so it's pristine. - Box, tray, quickstart guide, earbuds (unused), dock adapter tray, even the original unit plastic included - Brand new and sealed AppleCare for iPod included to extend the warranty for an additional year. - I'll throw in a leather flip case (vertical flip) with button clasp. No belt clip included, as none came with it, but it has provisions for one. None of mine fit it though so I don't know what kind it accepts; it looks like a basic fitting though. The device will be wiped and have the latest firmware installed before shipping so you get the most up-to-date unit. Never had a single problem with the unit, works flawlessly, and there are no issues with the screen like there were with some earlier 8 and 16 gig models. It was used quite a bit over the last year but I've taken extremely good care of it, as I do with all of my electronics, so there are no dents, scratches, or blemishes. One of the images below of the back looks kind of golden; that's the BSE body skin. It seems to discolour over time, but it doesn't effect anything. The camera exaggerates the colouration though; it's actually a pretty pale bronze, but it is noticeable. I kinda like it actually.
