I seem destined to never having a good NES experience. I've had three from loaders with the blinking problem. Then a front loader that displays a blank grey screen more than it displays the games. Now a RetroDuo that won't play 1/3 of my games and has bad sounds, washed out colors on the others. (sigh)

  Replacing the 72 pin connector isn't that hard. Look for a new one on ebay for about $10.

  What I wanna do is cut a game genie down to just the cart port and solder lines from the NES board to the cart port. Then just find a way to mount it in the cart tray.

  The NES cleaning kit I bought 22 yrs ago has kept my top-loader going strong up 'til now; alcohol and q-tip keep my carts working. Hope you have some better luck.
