  1. I am thinking that without the system being complete people are going to be a bit hesitant to buy it. Try buying the Video cable then show the working system if it in fact works. That might get more interest from people here.
  2. Ok, Most of what I came up with are repeats. Tempest. You really need the Spinning controller knob. Centipede. The track ball is essential. And here is one no one mentioned. Robotron. It just isn't the same if you don't have 2 joystick controllers to use.
  3. If you haven't thrown out the old 72-pin I have a suggestion. Take the old 72 pin and get a strong pin. You might need pair of reading glasses to do this. Take the Pin and get under each pin with it and raise them up. They usually get mashed down and the cartridge no longer makes enough contact to get a game going. Be careful not to over raise them. I did that and the Cartridges were a bugger to get in the slot. Took a while for the cartridges to loosen up the 72 pin. At any rate. Put the old 72 Pin back in the system and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't you know the fault probably lies with the new 72 pin. I had 3 non working NES systems. I revived 2 of them by this method so it does work. You just have to be careful and not over bend the connector. Again, the slot can get over tight and make it hard one inserting the cartridge.
  4. Over the weekend I picked up a Commodore 128. It came with a 1571 drive, Monitor, Printer, Power Supply and all cable hooks ups. Had a bunch of software. Sadly, half the disks apparently had corrupted files. The one that really hurt was the Sargon II disk. It apparently has wiped clean. I tried accessing the directory in both 64 and 128 mode. No dice. I remember that use to be a really decent chess game. But, then again, I am a lousy chess player.
  5. Doom also used a red cartridge. I can verify that at least Doom came in a Red Cartridge. I have got one.
  6. Donkey Kong 3 for $1 !!!!! Dang I am jealous. I keep seeing them on Ebay for more than that. I hope I get lucky one day and find that gem for a buck. I used to play the arcade version before I headed for school in the morning. High School that is. LOL I miss those days. It was one of the few games I was ever able to get a high score on.
  7. Does $12 sound like a fair price to get an Atari 2600 Power supply Shipping included. I got a system as part of a trade but it didn't come with a power supply. I would hate to spend all that money then find out the system didn't work. Heck I don't even have a game to test it with. But, I would hate for it to just sit here gathering dust.
  8. SNES Power Supplies are a pain since the end that goes in the machine is proiritary. I don't think I had a seen another one like it. At any rate I have been looking for one as well. Ebay has several for sale all the time. Usually about 10 to 15 dollars shipped. I will probably break down and buy one at the lower end one of these days. I have 2 systems and only one power supply. I want to sell one of them.
