Did they raise their prices?? last time I was on there site they were selling those games for 30-40 new

So Gorf...In retrospect, would you have even bothered programming this game if you knew all the trouble/grief/hoops-jumping you'd have to go through? Or would you have picked something original or less cumbersome?
Just curious.
Smeg
Nope...Some things are worth the effort and I like the way Gorf classic for Jaguar turned out.
All the bullshit makes it that much more special, really. I've started dozens of games, some
of which are still in production on a spare time basis. This is the first truly completed one so
its special. I just wish I was clear about the rights from the begining, as I would have taken
care of this accordingly and may not have had to discontinue it in the first place.
No more direct tributes, that for sure.

I have 2600 stuff in the works... one that will be an absolute mind blower if I can pull it off
...its allready worlds better than a version once tried...worlds better according to the three
folks that have seen it...they will be the ONLY ones until it is finished too.
didnt you say something about Midway possibly having a jaguar prototype that they would allow 3D Stooges to possibly obtain and publish???
my memory could be wrong tho..........
Keep this rule of mine in mind.
When some one constantly annoys me to do something, I tend to become less and less willing
to even consider it. Now, considering I'm not really willing now, the chances are getting slimmer.
Leave me alone with the MK already!!! Sheesh!

hopefully you know im j/k....
Sheesh!!
Maybe you should just walk into their office with a briefcase full of money
maybe then they'd concider. -
Hehe I guess I'm just dumb. I still don't understand what the actual 'addon' is? Does it allow you play a different consoles games? Does it modify graphics? Allow you to make games? Stream media through the Jaguar onto the TV?It's basically a "cheaper" alternative to cartridge games and to some extent the Jag CD (mostly because not everyone has one and their price is going up lately) and to give people who don't have access to a flash cart or alpine to program and test their own programs on the Jag. It also allows MP3 streaming so future games may be able to use mp3 instead of mods or redbook audio. Most controversial is the prospect is playing commercial roms on it which is a very sore subject. The game of note that is suppose to be released for this game is Out of this World (Another World) which is an official port in the works by the Jagware team (havn't heard much on it other then when they announced it awhile back). Thats about all there is to note from what I've gathered on the device.

Thats good news I guess but what about CF compatable software?
-
I just got a Jaguar and it's just a cartirdge console no CD's. I was checking out an ebay sale and was about to buy a Jaguar game but it's a CD. Is there an addon drive or something for the Jaguar? What am I missing. Sorry I'm sure that sounds dumb.Yep, Jag CD. Since you seem really new to the scene I must warn you if you ebay do not buy from SweetStuff4U you will be ripped off.

Hello everyone!I've been playing Zero 5 for a while now and I have to say I'm liking it a lot. It's as hard as nails, but very fun. It seems to be something of a marmite game (either you love it or hate it!) I just wondered what other people thought. Frankly I thought it was better than Tempest. Bit of a heretic thing to say I know, but it's true.
While I'm here - Towers II worth the money?
I think it's worth it, I really enjoyed it but alot of people don't because their brainwashed by cliche Japanese RPG's...

Once you get the Expansion Bay area of the case apart it's smooooth sailing from there.. word to the wise though.. don't touch the controller ports unless your sure you've discharged any static electricity.. from what I hear static destroys the chips.

Theres no question the Jag by itself is the winner.. 3 words.. No Moving Parts

I read in EGM one time that they almost had jaguar on the internet, and that there were actually about 1000 modems made that were never released. I also read (on wikipedia, so it may not be true) that doom for jaguar was supposed to have online capabilities. is there any way I could set up a LAN between 2 jaguars to play doom? also, where can I get one of these "jaguar modems"? Thanks!!!Im not sure about the online work but it certainly is possible...the trouble is the UART
in the jaguar is a piece of doody. T cart based lan Jack would be the smart way to do it.
The source to Jaguar Doom is readily available for anyone to dl and do as they wish with
so the possibility exsists. Remember, even PC doom was only 4 player and required the
IPX protocol if I remember correctly. It would not be hard to do if someone could figure
out a simple work around to the UART witout wasting the DSP bandwidth to poll for the
communications. It would have been in ther if Atari had a brain, other than the one in
Sam T's ass and paid Scatologic a reasonable sum for it. It could ahve ben nice for
IS I & II and I-War, AvP and a number of titles....a small license is probably all
Scatologic was asking for, but Atari was too short sighted to cough it up. It could have
been helpful.
Actually I believe PC doom was 8 players if I remember the old dos Networking setup for Doom

All of the details will be givin by me, as the company is very busy and i was able to allow them to let me sell these cases. So please do not contact them about the cases, but u may contact me at [email protected] for pricing and pictures.Smells like a fish story to me.

it could be,but he actually took the time to email several people about these on several occassions.....maybe it was too much hassle for them, maybe the are still waiting for something,or it has a hoax.......glad to see people email the company about it ,maybe more emails are needed to show them our interest.......

If he had offered a personal company email maybe I'd believe him.. but a gmail account?

I hope this was not a mean joke
well I'd rather it were a joke then some kind of scam, did anybody send this guy any money?
-
how much are you lookin to make on this lot?
-
At least he gave the Jag an awesome deep booming voice lol
-
can you say dick head? Gotta wonder why he pulled the Jag out for that assanine joke when he forgot about the 3DO and the TG-16.. the TG-16 should have been mentioned if he had his history right

-
Cool, maybe you should over-clock it. I saw a really cool video on Youtube of an overclocked Jag running Zero 5.Isn't that the same video that one of the Jagware guys shared on here? I remember he had some other games he had tried with his overclock on several different speeds.

Your picture might be so faint cause it's not amplified, a simple transistor might fix that.

Take everyone elses advice about emulation.. most of those NoaC devices are only 70% compatible with all NES games.. Castlevania 3 and several other games will not run on them.
-
has anybody even heard back from this guy? I'm wondering if he was pulling our legs

-
Hi GuysDoes a file of this copy exist,so that i could play on emulator?
greetings gambler172
I have a dump of the EPROM, but I've been told it doesn't work on emulators (then again, I never tried). I won't give it out unless I get the new owners OK to do so.
Tempest
Hi Tempest
I own a version too,but this seems to be incomplete.Although it works on the handy emulator.
greetings Walter
You have the demo..
Tempest... if said person buys the game and says it is ok to release that rom... that would be great. Collectors and fans both can scramble to figure out an emulator that works for it. I'm sure one could be built. Just not with my limited knowledge....
The only thing I've seen floating around is a incomplete demo with maybe 2 or 3 screens ingame, it would loop if you tried to go on farther
-
I think who ever buys it would have to worry about a mob with torches and pitchforks outside their door if they hoard it <.<
-
Yeah, PCEngineFX is a great site, you'll probly find somebody who knows about what your looking for there

I made a copy of the Instruction set table of the "Polhoff"-bookAttached here as a Word-document:
I'll have to take a look when I can get back on the net with my regular computer. My wireless extender died
Linksys stuff seems to be crap these days.. -
Out of curiosity, what are you guys using to write Channel F software now? dasm with F8 support or f8tool or what?I use Programmers Notepad 2 and DASM
-
Seriously? The 20th? Geez, I hope they correct the error in my order before then. I used an old shipping address by accident. Sent an email to them but have heard no reply... Hope they don't ship it to that address :/

Would'nt it be cool....
