  1. Quite the ignorant statement if I may say so. Indeed, sounds like someone has been eating too much pocky. I've heard that RegelSin is an infamous Troll over at DP....
  2. I have never been able to persuade anyone with a copy of EoTB, even though this is the one title that I'd actually pay big $ for. I don't quite understand why the ROM hoarders won't burn a few copies for interested parties, either. Surely $250 each for Phear and AvP CD would compensate for any actual loss in value of the original item? thats because only 30+ copies of EotB exist! ,most wont sell!!,but everybody has a price,lol.... are you talking about a complete EotB or the demo thats been floating around? a demo??,humm know im confused buddy,lol...thought there was only one.. the beta rom image

I don't quite understand why the ROM hoarders won't burn a few copies for interested parties, either. Surely $250 each for Phear and AvP CD would compensate for any actual loss in value of the original item? legal issues buddy!!! first off since Phear was liscensed to Nintendo as Tetrisphere....so it isnt likely it will ever be released..and AVP CD is doubtful, but possible i guess,if it was found......and if any of those were located im sure we are looking at much higher figures for them......big companies cant be bothered about us Jaguar fans I'm sure Nintendo could care less.... im sure thats why it pays to be sneaky <.< then act like you didn't know any better when caught lol

  5. It's not disabled per-se. It's just not played during the actual levels. If you get to the result screen after each level, it plays a song from the game. I still want to know why it's possible to cheat on Nightmare with no monster respawning? It's like I'm playing Ultra Violence still. I know it's there for the Title and Intermission screen, it's just that he music for the levels is on the cart are therebut are just coded to be turned off.

  8. Dude, color wise the 32X has nothing on the Jag lol . I think the closest to the full color the Jag could do the 32X got was with Kolabri (which is a beautiful looking game.. unfortunately it didn't play as well )
  9. I think it was Belboz over on JSII who said that JagDOOM does have the music from the full version, it's just disabled because of a hardware conflict of sorts meaning it causes some major issues in game, though as most agree it has a better atmosphere without the music
  10. Gorf isn't banned and Rev got punished. well thats good to hear.
  11. In your very own little, bizarre world. Why are you insulting him? He's giving you his professional opinion. Disagree with him, but why insult him? Plese post a video on youtube showing a game before HALO that shows evidence of superior A.I. to BattleSphere. I don't doubt Steve believes what he's saying but the way he and Thunderbird go about things gets me irritated.. just now on JSII their basically saying that Wing Commander Arena is ripping off of Battlesphere.. I know Doug did some incredible things with Battlesphere but why must they think themselves "Gods"? It's good to be humbled sometimes but an inflated ego just makes you look like an ass, especially for a genre of games that will and has been ripping off of each other for years.. theres only so many ways you can do space battle and the representation of war in space.. I mean no disrespect but c'mon guys..
  12. well my TI-83+ could do some amazing things.. you should have seen the Super Punch Out and Legend of Zelda demos made for it
  13. yeah, the old cd and pc engine set up is less reliable, you'd be in for quite a few headaches if you went that route good luck with your search.
  14. This sounds alot like a 12 year old on a Click forum that wanted people to program an MMORPG that was a carbon copy of WoW where he'd make all the profit off it from a technical stand point he knows nothing of what he's asking (and the limitations of Click software) AND doesn't know that people won't work for nothing. No offense Regal but you don't seem to understand the intricacy of creating games for an older system, I would suggest learning up on C#, getting Visual C++ and the XNA package, you might have a better time getting people to help you create an XBLA game then an Atari 2600 game. there is more resources and people willing to commit to such a project.
  15. Honestly, the Jag would have faired so much better if Capcom had developed for it... Super Street Fighter II on the Jag would have blown the other ports (including the 3DO port) away. So many what if's it's irritating... Atari should have appealed more to the Japanese market, we could have had some interesting games.
  16. I think another good challenge is to see if you can beat the Ultra Vortek Beta... the AI is soooo unfair in that, I've only beaten Lucian once (he's always first in the Beta)
  17. I NEVER beat a game for the first time using any cheats or tips, thats a no go!! But once it is complete, then cheats galore!! Altho, I am getting frustrated trying to beat Wolf3D with just the knife That cannot be possible, the Bosses just can't be beaten with the Knife, you'd get caught in the crossfire too much, I can barely beat Hitler with the Flamethrower.
  18. And when are most gamers up anyway? Anyway I kinda remember this. The Atari Jaguar was kinda something I heard about in passing, and I dismissed it as rumor since I thought Atari wrapped up in the late eighties. But that's another story. From what I've seen Atari did try some good advertising, I just missed a lot of it. As for Rhonda... yeh USA used to be a lot of fun. I remember when they knocked off the cartoons and the up all night. Sigh... sometimes I would like to go back in time and watch old shows. I mean the shows were bad, but I would like to see a little bit of them now. Like old Nichelodeon stuff from 1980-1981... would give my right arm to see that. USA back in the day was awesome, Monster Vision was one of my favorites (or was that TNT?).. first and last time I ever saw Night of the Triffids.. man is that movie hard to get a hold of
  19. I remember this lol.. I also remembered the Cave infomericals. but back then I was young and had never tried the Jag... the infomercial made me laugh.
  20. Well the Jag and the Saturn are in the same league of Complexity, they had multiple chips that programmers had to deal with, thats why the Saturn was difficult to program for. As Gorf has said, Atari's tools sucked and Sega had a more developed tool set so thats why compared to the Jag the Saturn fared alot better development wise.
  21. Yes indeed they did. And you know what I really hate about AvP games? If some have comments about the AvP games and they reveal the history, the Atari Jaguar version is always forgotten to mention about the first Alien vs Predator game. They talk about the comic books and then jump over to the PC scene. or the Capcom AvP game
  22. I don't think Gorf will have to worry about this thread, he got banned cause he couldn't ignore the Rev's insults.. the guy needs to keep his temper in check :/ I really have to wonder why the Rev didn't get banned as well.. he started it. It wasn't entirely fair to punish Gorf.
  23. Limited run? That would just allow assholes to buy 5 copies and either A.) Horde them or B.) Sell them at premium... I miss out on all the "limited edition" crap for that reason. If we ever got a copy it should be given out to everyone not coveted by the "elite"
  24. Unfortunately you need a converter to play Japanese HuCards on a Turbo Duo, unfortunately due to some weird circuitry choices the same can't be said of the japanese Duo which needs modification to play anything but Japanese HuCards. Though if your looking to play just the CD games then your all set with either. Also I would suggest getting an Duo R system since the original DUO model uses old capacitors which by now have dried up, so CD Audio doesn't always work on them.. my PC Engine Duo does this but there is a great tutorial for replacing those capacitors here D-Lite also offers the repairs himself along with S-video mods and such if your not upto soldering yourself (a DUO is quite an investment these days so if your not skilled with an iron I would say get somebody to do the fix for you.) though I hear he's been busy lately and might not get back to you.
  25. humm, i dont think it would take hitting the lotto to have a Jaguar version of MK3,when you say big bucks what are we talking?? id like to know how much we need to get Midways attention , i only buy Jaguar stuff and wouldnt waste my money on any Sony junk!!! MK3= Well they did let Carl release Total Carnage so it couldn't be too too much. Now from what I heard Wizards of the Coast (who own the AD&D license) want a shitload just for Eye of the Beholder on the Lynx... either way your gonna be paying big bucks for the license of a popular franchise. I'm sure BuddiesBuddy's Battlesphear collection would cover the costs lol j/k buddy
