  1. I liked it okay . . . the music is cool, and I like all the equipment options. But the graphics . . . meh . . . i played it for awhile, and then got stuck on this floor where you had to lower these chains in the proper order or something . . . I could never figure it out, so that was that. Overall, good, but nothing that really stands out from the pack. Yes my brother! I am there too! Wait till you get to the Wind Elemental part... that was really difficult with chains in hidden rooms and wind elementals that can't be killed by anything but one spell.
  2. Gamefaqs section on it is the best.. it actually has the codes for playing as The Guardian, Carbon, and as a Shadow. I tried to update AA's section with the codes but they ignored my submission :/
  3. Yeah, the quake port is impossible to run on the CD32 for that reason.
  4. Shadow of the Beast had fantastic parallax scrolling
  5. Alpine Games because it is one (if not the only game) to use high color which is incredible stuff.
  6. I cleaned it pretty throughly, still didn't work, so I returned it. Not much else I can do now hah. Was just surprised to buy a bad Jag game, even the RSOD means the game COULD still work, but a black screen? Didn't wanna take the chance and get stuck with an interesting coaster.
  7. Well I know your looking for a quality way of making casing for your memory expansion cart BUT, a cheap and inexpensive way to do it (sans overal quality and durability of the mold) would be to cast it in plaster or silicon rubber for a makeshift mold. You'd need to create a prototype, casting wax would do the job or some plain clay (the stuff that doesn't need to be baked) really depends on the quality your looking for though. Hope you figure something out.
  8. Picked up 3 games today at a sweet local game store that sells practically everything, picked up boxed copies of Super Burnout and Dino Dudes, but also snagged a loose Rayman cart for 15. Was excited to put it to good use in my Jag, pushed the power button and got the RSOD, I think not a problem happens sometimes, pulled it out and put it back in making sure it's seated properly now the system won't even turn on, this happens 3 times after reinserting the game. I then cleaned the contacts plugged it back it and this time the power comes on but the system doesn't boot, I get a black screen. Can't say I've ever had this problem with a Jag game, normally all I get is the RSOD on a bad game... it's just weird but looks like I'm gonna have to return it Anybody else have this problem with used Jag games?
  9. She probly also has Super Mario for the Xbox (don't know how many times I had to argue with customers that their will never be a Mario game on the Xbox and PS2 lol)
  10. Ultra Vortek, with Buzzsaw, I always play as Buzzsaw lol..
  11. $87 for Protector SE for the Jag, I could justify it because of the BJL booter and Jag Free feature (though thats kinda nil since people can encrypt CD's now..) I just can't see myself spending over $200 on a game. I think the only games I'd be willing to spend that much on would be the worthwhiled NEOGEO AES carts.
  12. It's Region Locked. I recall a boot disc was required to boot up Japanese and EU games.
  13. Are you buying the really cheap ones?? The one I have has lasted me several months. I may sound stupid asking this but are you tinning your tip everytime you use it?
  14. Fixed it, now onto figuring out controls and adding enemy sprites... wish there were more resources.
  15. Thought I'd unearth this old topic because I've been messing around with the Channel F and well.. the VESWiki is gone. I've been looking over Blackbird's Pac-man sorce and wrote my own little demo but for some reason I can't get my sprite to be drawn, it's there alright though as it moves off the screen (causing that black horizontal line). Been looking my code over and over and for the life of me can't figure out why the sprite isn't being drawn in the color I specified and why it's always clear.
  16. Fuck, man, that brings back some pristine memories. That game was awesome! Along with the xmen game, and Turtles arcade game. I was hoping they'd do the same thing they did with TMNT's and release the Simpsons Arcade Game for XBLA around the time of the movie.. it'd be awesome if they did. And the X-Men game, that game was awesome.
  17. I'd rather see The Simpsons Arcade game get a release on ANY system (well.. it did come out on the Commadore 64 but that doesn't count lol)
  18. The NeoGeo was 16-bit, the 24-bit thing was a myth. But regardless of that fact, the system could do things even 32-bit systems couldn't do (even the Next Gen ports of the SNK fighting games suffer from frame rate problems)
  19. I love Kasumi but I hate it's music.. it's like they used a cheap Casio keyboard to make the soundtrack
  20. Found a TI-99/4A at a Salvation Amry for $7 with all the hookups and 2 controllers, unfortunately I can't get it working, I dunno if it's the damaged RF modulator (which I resoldered) or the systems fried, was a nice find when I thought it worked hah hah..
  21. I've been experimenting with sprite drawing on the Channel F, and well.. it's not working too well lol. Question is.. what happened to the VESWiki? It's gone, so where can one turn for Channel F development and help? Doubt too many really even care about the tiny homebrew scene for the Channel F (what was it.. 3 people?)
  22. technically you can overclock any game systems with some it's just not worth the effort, I've seen some cool overclocked TG-16's, though sped up sounds are a universal side effect to it (correct me if I'm wrong programmers ) Theirs also a mod to replace the processor in the Genesis with the successor to that chip with 80% compatability but as with most tinkerings, you lose some and gain some...
  23. Maybe we should make it an event, get some big Jaguar banners and have a huge bonfire on "bahalf" of EGM and Ziff Media ...for kindling
  24. That would be awesome! Title it "The Worst Magazine EVAR!" For sure! I mean come on, YouTube is just huge... I'm sure if it was recorded right and some quality content was on it, it would make its way around to people at EGM. Just knowing someone there at some point will have to see it makes it all worth it it should also be converted to Cinepac and put on a Jag CD
