  1. Considering the controls mapped to the keypads were rarely ever tied to any crucial control schemes I don't see the issue, it merely added additonal function for developers to tap. Its more that you have idiot neckbeards who like to stir up shit and join the "its cool to rip on this because all the cool kids in their parent's basements are doing it" bandwagons. Of all the lists that bash on the Jag in any capacity I'm pretty certain only a small percentage of them have actually played with one or let alone seen one in person and when all you hear are bad things of course you're only going to look at the negatives.
  2. If I had a functional JagCD (mine isn't.. ) I'd buy it. I loved Diamjag so this would be a instant sale for me.
  3. yes cause that wasn't sarcasm. URA was awful, a spinoff of a subpar fighter that looked like a 1st year 3d art students demo reel that tried to justify its existence with the addition of 3 lazily designed characters. At least FFL tried to be a little more original with the ineptitude of those in charge regardless of its failed intentions as a 3d fighter for a failing console.
  4. Screw the box, I'd take a loose cart if it made a 3rd run easier. You're sitting on a goldmine Orion, better tap it while the prospecting is good!
  5. Yeah I feel like a reserve method would have been better. Seeing as I was late to the game I won't be trying to get one of this run as it wouldn't be fair to the original 30 on the wait list. Here's hoping for a 3rd run.
  6. GT said that that email forwards to RGC and SubRmv so I don't think you need to send another .

    Heretic

    I'd much rather see:
  8. The term Aftermarket would be more appropriate then homebrew for most games released for the Jag after its commercial life.
  9. You're forgetting Painter which had a CD release then a Cartridge release. I've only ever played the Cart version so I have no idea besides the sound and amount of levels what the difference may be. So that would be 3 versions 1 CD and 2 Carts (Standard and SE). You could sorta say Gorf considering one cartridge was made and sent to the IP holder.
  10. Its their answer to the dwindling supply of EPROMS for cartridges. Instead of EPROMS, the board uses flash memory (correct me if i'm wrong) which is cheaper and more readily available. I can't wait for them to finish it, then maybe we'll see more cartridge releases and less low supply with hoarding and ebay flipping.
  11. Collecting Turbo Grafx.. especially Super CDs will cause bankruptcy... Even the local game store where I live that sells retro stuff wants your first born for most Super CDs. Pretty much anything under glass which is pretty much ANYTHING worth buying is in the cases and marked up according to EBay prices. This is the future of retro game collecting and it generally doesn't reflect the actual value of the item, but what some speculators have weaseled out of people who don't know better. Let us not forget SweetsStuff4U... he pretty much started the outrageous increase of prices of Atari stuff on EBay. But we also have to blame the people who ponied up.
  12. Double Dragon V is as low as you can go.
  13. Also the ineptitude of the Tramiel's... They made too many bad decisions and their skinflint ways didn't help either with game journalists and developers alike.
  14. He owns it, Charles sold it to him before he pretty much left the Jag scene.
  15. Wow.. you totally put me in my place. Excuse me for thinking a chip that is based on the original brains of the system is somehow better then a marginal emulated program that's running on non-native hardware. I'm totally nitpicking when the compatibility isn't nearly as good with emulation. My bad.
  16. Didn't that company that was making the dental cases have it? I recall they used white jag cart shells to house the memory card for it.
  17. Ever since they dropped Curt's 2600-on-a-Chip for a ARM emulated version I've lost all interest in the Flashback line. That emulated garbage just doesn't have the feel. While not as bad as the Flashback 1's NES-on-a-Chip design, I preferred the authenticity.
  18. The original CD release was done by Sinister, OMF released the cartridge release which I was involved in.
  19. THIS. Waiting is the smartest thing to do, can't agree more. Supporting the rampant market manipulation is the worst thing anybody can do.
  20. I'm selling some of my collection, so if you're in the market for an AES or PC Engine Duo check out my auctions. No Reserves. eBay Seller: twi-lekki
  21. I had looked up reviews of the quality of RedBubble's direct to garment printing and its been favorable. I'd consider lowering the price if I can get some guaranteed sales, would lowering the price by $2 make you reconsider?
