  1. They had the board AND the casing finished on the Jag 2? I always thought that they cancelled it early in developement. That's awesome.
  2. Yeah I agree. The Saturn and Jaguar versions are actually pretty close. So if you don't have a Jaguar, the Saturn versions is a excellent choice.
  3. Man Chris, you got me all excited!
  4. Oh man that would be awesome. Figure a way acknowledge the second system as the second player....... I just can't find the words..
  5. Max 330? Pro Gear Spec? Giga Power? We could go on all day. Hanzo fan? Oh yes. Another major difference and honestly one of the reasons I started to like the Jaguar is that where the Neo Geo is still getting titles released today, the Jaguar has a fairly large "homebrew" type scene. And some awesome titles have came out of this type of atmosphere, theres something really cool about that. I don't really think that any system is a true failure, you just have to know what to look for, and the Jaguar actually has a large library of kick ass titles. I think a lot of people here on this site support it because - well mainly because its "Atari" (Not that theres anything wrong with that) Anyone here a Neo gamer? I'm obssessed with SNK, and if anyone wants to talk Neo PM me or head over to www.neo-geo.com My username is the same there.
  6. Thanks a lot guys. What homebrew games are good? Thrust! and This Planet Sucks caught my eye...
  7. I really should have thought of that. Thanks man!
  8. Combat is one of the games that I think about whenever someone brings up the 2600. A friend and I both had a copy, and we were actually really good. So we would practice at home, and then try to see who was "King" whenever he would come down, or I would go there. "Good times"
  9. I had one of these growing up. The kick ass wood panel looking model, and I had some fond memories of it. Fast Eddie, Yar's Revenge, Keystone Kaper, and even that horrid E.T. But I got a NES when it was released, and I don't really remember what happened to the 2600. I thought that it was around here somewhere, but my searches over the past month have led me to believe it's gone forever. So here's my question. I want to get back into 2600 gaming. I was wanting to know what model would be the best to have. And some of the games that I should be interested in getting. (The homebrew scene really draws me in, titles like Marble Craze, This Planet Sucks, and Thrust!) I was wanting to find another wood model, but is there anything else that has a modern look to it. Be it a clone or whatever? Anyway, 2600ers! I'm all ears! Show me the light!
  10. The Jaguar received far more criticism than other systems that weren’t that popular. Especially from mags such as EGM. I feel that EGM busted on the Jag more than the Neo Geo, NGPC, Turbo Duo, Sega CD, 3DO and Virtual Boy combined. EGM was anti-Atari, even before the Jag. This bias was not only in jokes about the Jaguar, the bias also carried over to game reviews as well. As for comparing the Neo Geo to the Jag. The Jag has a more well rounded library of games. If you’re not a fan of fighters, the Neo Geo has a very weak game line-up. As for graphics, the Jag is better than the Neo Geo as well. The Neo Geo could only dream to do 3D games such as AVP, Doom, HS: Unconquered Lands, Missile Command 3D, Battlemorph, etc. The KOF and Samurai Shodown series are better fighters than anything on the Jag, but I feel that Ultra Vortek, Kasumi Ninja and Primal Rage have better graphics. Well as a huge Neo Geo fan I tend to agree with what you said, but I feel that the quality of Neo games as a whole defeats the Jag library. (meaning that I agree about your comments about the level of fighting games in the Neo library, not the graphics) I love every system, and there are a lot of games out for the Jaguar that are good. But Neo Geo? Man. I can't even begin to explain how much I love this system. But I guess I should just shut up, I'm a little biased here, as the Neo is my fav system of all time. I mean my name is "Giga Power", come on! Jaguar is cheaper though!
  11. The copy that I have is a friend's, and he only has the over lays included. No box or instructions. But I only borrowed the cart. I figured the controls out pretty easily, and some of the game's mechanics. Like the continue system for the Alien and so on. But I just can't seem to get anywhere in the game.
  12. The Jaguar is regarded among gamers as one of the big "failures". And one of the classic arguments is and always will be "Is it a true 64 bit system?" So what are some of the games that you see as an example of the Jag's technology- what it's got under the hood so to speak. I wanna know what everyone's opinon on the better looking Jaguar games.
  13. First off, has anyone ever beat this game? And if so can you give me some pointers on how to do so. I just got this because it' supposed to be one of the Jag's best titles, and while I agree with what I've played. I don't really seem to be making any progress. Thanks to all who reply in advance.
  14. Giga Power

    OMC?

I would kill to have Native completed, but no matter who works on it, something always seems to happen.
  15. I really need to get this game! I think my Jag would love me more if I did so.. *adds it to the "things to do" list*
