Hi I got a new MOS 6502 from this guy (basically same auction link): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOS-6502-A-2-MHz-CPU...id=p3286.c0.m14 As you can see he claims the slightly higher clocked CPU will work in an Atari 800. Now when i tried it in mine all i got was a brown screen nothing else. Yet i put the old one back in and it seems to work fine again. I repeated the process - same result. I contacted the guy stating this and he didnt know wot was wrong with it so he gave me a refund. Anyone know if this CPU will actually work on Atari 800s? Regards

is there anyone still repairing colecovisions?
spudmanno5 replied to spudmanno5's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
hi thanks for the replies! this problem happens with both controllers and with only SOME games (like ones i got from US). The coleco i have is also a french version so it uses scart lead. -
hi i think my colecovision is slightly faulty as with some games the coleco controller fire button doesnt respond as it should (yet an atari one works fine) plus the tv cable socket is a little unlpredictable sometimes. so is there anyone or any place that still repair these systems?! many thanks in advanced! regards

Hi After finally getting a Atari 800 PSU from myatari.com i discover that it has a non UK plug! Even tho i ordered a UK one!!! PRA001E POWER 800/1200XL/810/1050/XF551 220 VAC 20.00 It is an official Atari one and has written on there: Ein: 220v~37W 50Hz Aus: 9v~27VA So will this work if i used a plug converter? regards

hi does this game require the fulll 64k? or can it work on 48k atari 800? cheers

hi i am after some games for my atari 800. also on lookout for disk drive. so if anyone had anything give me a heads up. cheers

hi some good news. finally got the 1010 recorder and gave it a run out. the humming noise is still there a tiiny bit when you turn the volume way up (when you do the procedures before). a huge improvement!!! i will try and get hold of that chip and a proper atari psu (as my current one seems to be making a pretty loud noise now! lol ) cheers
-
hi when i am playing carts i still seem to get the humming noise when the tape deck is plugged in. when loading a tape, i always have to have the play button press down else it is likely to crash if i press play while the computer is on! regards
-
hi just an update here. still no tape recorder but i have now tried some carts. and the system seems to be ok with them. cheers
-
hi yeah i remember you telling me it was 100% working. did you getting any static on the screen? cos when i use it on mine i get a lot of it, so much that it looks like the tv is out of tune? did you get any humming also or any other interfearance? regards No, no problems at all with it, I won't sell anything that I am not 100% sure of. if you are not happy I will take it back nah thats ok. update i received the atari 1010 recorder today and it was a tale of 2 halves. 1) the good news is i dont get any humming when i plud the cable/recorder in and also when i press play (after i do the full load procedure) 2) the bad news is the drive belts have totally worn making this recorder almost useless for the time being! so what does this mean? does my machine lack power to power up the xc12 tape deck by itself? shame i cant do a full test with some games. regards

yeah i noticed the banner too. but like you said mastertronic titles had the same thing yet some work in 48k! if it helps bmx simulator also got converted to 48k spectrum and commodore 16 (16k). i will try this on an emu myself when i get a laptop, but i suppose it looks like its 64k
