Ok, we have a thread to discuss controller options for the CV2 already, but there are some technical issues that I would like to discuss here.
First, here is what we have agreed so far:
- Console should cost $150 or less
- It should be compatible with as many original CV games as possible, preferably 95% or more
- It doesn't need to be compatible with the existing expansion modules, like Atari module e ADAM module
- It should come with "modern" A/V outputs, like composite video, S-video and RGB, and a modern power supply
Anything missing from my list?
Nothing missing that I can find.
A new/modern CV2 console should be very popular, and the price point sounds very good.

Would "recycling old CV console casings" actually work? Using old console casings may not hold up very well. Would the older cases crack or break when trying to modify them?
A new case, designed to fit the board, sounds fine, and should last longer.
Maybe (if possible) a case modeled after the original? Something that looks like it came from the past, even though it is brand new.
However it may turn out, ColecoVision fans will should be excited about the CV2, and sign up quickly to buy one(or more!)

Just bought a blue one from seanhq, and it looks nice!
A high quality dust cover that makes a great addition to the collection!
Thanks for making (and selling) these for the Atari 2600 community.
(Last I heard, only 2 were left.)
Thanks

The dust cover looks great, and was shipped fast.
Highly recommended, and hope to deal with again!
Thanks.

As much as I would love to have (and would buy) a Colecovision clone, I voted for a Lord of the Dungeon re-issue. Someday, I hope this fine game will be available again.

The numbers are there for 25 of the Internal AtariVox... the internal HSC availability will ultimately determine how many full sets are produced. If I finish up before then there will be some options, and I may indulge in making a special extra peripheral that wasn't mentioned if there is time and everything else is done.

Wow!
What a fantastic set-up this will be!
Thanks for everything you are doing to make this possible.

I think it's just because it's cool playing a near arcade-perfect version on a Colecovision; playing an 80's game on an 80's system that really does look and sound (for the most part) and play like the arcade! You even press a button to "put in quarters".I would say the emphasis of this port is not merely having a Pac-Man game for Colecovision, but having the actual arcade game on Colecovision. Thanks Opcode!
Very well put. Pac-Man Collection plays, sounds and feels like the arcade games. I featured this game at OVGE this year, and it was a smash hit!
OVGE Pac-Man Collection competition picture
Everyone loved the games, and people kept asking if the sounds were straight from the arcade versions.
During the competition, I put a 5 minute time limit for the high score, but it was hard to stop people from playing the game!
(Using the Genesis joystick also helped add to the arcade feeling!)
Thank you opcode, for a wonderful arcade game that many people were able to enjoy this past weekend!

OVGE 2009 was great!
Being able to see Crossbow, PacFamily, PDF, Flack, Steve W, Ubik, 8bitgamer and everyone else at OVGE made this an event not to forget.
The Pac-Man Collection at my table was a big hit! (And the Pac-Man neon lights that I found on eBay drew a smile from each person that saw them.) Everyone enjoyed playing this excellent Colecovision game from opcode. In fact, several players did not want to stop, and had to be pulled away from the controls, for another person to start their game.
More than one person asked if the sound effects on opcode's Pac-Man Collection were digitized straight from the arcade games.
Had a bad power supply with my second Colecovision, so I displayed a 2600 with some homebrews, and a Harmony cart(which I need to update, as it was slow to load.) I almost forgot that I brought a modified Flashback 2, and put it out late in show. The FB2 had some good comments, and gamers enjoyed playing carts as well as the pre-loaded games.
Although this years turnout was lower than expected, everyone that attended enjoyed some great classic gaming goodness. Competitions at OVGE were definitely the most popular part of the show. Hopefully, next years show will have even more competitions, and possibly some multiplayer gaming fun!
Thanks for everyone for such a great show this year.

Hope Mario enjoys some time off while camping. He could use some rest!

Here's some info about the "opcode Pacman Collection" competition held at my table:
Players with the top three scores will win the following prizes:
First place:
One (new) Pacman T-Shirt "I stopped playing Pacman. It was the worst 7 minutes of my life " (size: Adult XL.)
Second place:
One (new) Pacman official keychain from Namco.
Third place:
One Pacman (cloth) retro patch from the 80's!
I also have 2 other prizes that may be given away: Pacman power pellets candy, and one Pacman tablecloth.
Rules for the Pacman competition:
- Competition starts at 1:00 p.m.
- 5 minute time limit per player.
- Joystick controller used.

- Player must be present to win prize.
- In the event of a tie, a standard Atari 2600 Pacman cart will be flipped, like a coin (label up or not?

My set arrived today
Excellent job throughout! The colors on the controllers came out perfect. A professional job all the way.
The box is also excellent, nice colors and the game screen on the backside makes you want to see the game in action!
Thank you for such a great job in creating these.

Great news on being able to use the brand name. Hopefully, this will not add to much to the final price.
Either way, the CV2 sounds better every day, and will put a smile on plenty of fans ready to enjoy it.
(Can't wait to see the final product!
