Ebay said no, since it already has a bid. http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/end_early.html There was an error in the listing. OK. Done. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=280100279576

Yeah, I found that auction, right after I listed mine. 3 units, with a BIN price of $239.

(In the email) They asked for information such as my email, postal address, and phone number. Definitely something wrong.

This new ebayer tried to contact me (along with the usual ebay warnings) via email, and I found this strange auction that I have no clue. Some kind of joke maybe? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=260102607529

If that's a real auction, I have 3 of these that need to go on ebay! (2 boxed, and 1 loose.) Didn't think they were that rare!

When I was an Assistant Manager at Wal-Mart, we stopped a shoplifter that had concealed 40 CD's under his clothing(everywhere!) We made sure to wear plastic gloves before handling the evidence!

A cart is preferred, but I would buy either to support the cause.

Someone bought it! (That's they said, anyway.) Maybe I need to sell my duplicates in this town. -
Great Job! The Lynx still has plenty of life with fun arcade ports like that!

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
purenergy replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I had a premonition to stop at a local thrift, and was surprised to find an Atari 2600, 4-switch woody, in excellent condition. It had 10 games, 2 joysticks, and 1 pair of paddles, kept inside a smoke-colored hard plastic case. Very nice looking, until I saw the price stuck to it.....$125.00!! I asked the nice lady working there if this was the correct price, to which she simply replied "yes". I thanked her, bit my lip, and walked out the door, holding in my laughter. $125 for a VCS, 10 games, and 3 controllers. Hard to believe, but I wondered if some local is actually going to buy it. -
What would you buy?
purenergy replied to Curt Vendel's topic in AtGames Flashback and Portable Consoles
Quality all the way..... I barely touched the original Flashback, nor did I ever see it displayed in a retail store. The games on it didn't impress me, because I had the original games at home, ready to play. Never heard a word about the Flashback locally, but eventually found it on the Internet. Still did not have a desire to purchase the original Flashback. When news came out for the Flashback 2, I watched carefully, and thought "Could this be true? Classic games, on a newly designed VCS console?" I think the first time I actually saw one was at VGXpo in Dallas, with no one at the display (were they even working?) After searching through the electronics department of several retailers, I was ready to purchase Flashback 2 online, because it simply wasn't available in my area. But, while looking for something in the "Toys" department, lo and behold, there it was, the Atari Flashback 2. The Flashback 2 may have been a sucess, but how many "average gamers" actually knew it was available? Could it have sold even better? Not with high budget advertising, but getting the "Big Box" retailer to display it better. A quality product (such as the Flashback 2) will sell. Original hardware that has quality design and quality games will result in repeat sales, because the consumer views this product came from a quality company. (If Atari is reading this: Better sales=more profit.) Consumers that have bought a Flashback 2, are looking for more. And the possible Flashback 2 portable would be a product that will sell well. -

Atari Keychain Games from "Basic Fun": Stay Away!
purenergy replied to jaybird3rd's topic in Dedicated Systems
Hmmm... While looking for another item, I noticed a local Wal-Mart had the mini-Atari joystick available for Christmas, and they sold out. (Even though they were not priced! They scanned $14.44 each.) Does this prove that consumers will buy a product based on the name, possibly remembering the past, or they just need a quick stocking stuffer? The mini-Atari joystick that I had displayed on my table during OVGE this year has dissapeared. After it broke, I was planning to keep it as a possible collectable, but must have thrown it away!
