  1. More stuff to drool over.... I can't wait until Saturday, to possibly see this in person, at OVGE! Thanks
  2. Yep, that's about right. If you are coming up highway 75, be careful of the local law when you cross the Red river into Oklahoma. They have been stopping drivers in Calera, with a speed limit of 55, for a few miles. Once you pass the Choctaw Casino, you can put the pedal to the metal.
  3. Yeah, I also enjoyed Hac-Man 2. The unique ghosts, and sounds made the game a lot of fun. I can't remember the name of the ghost that was alone on the game screen, but he was tough!
  4. Galaga. A game that I could play for hours in the classic years, and still enjoy today.
  5. This game is everything the 2600 Pac-Man should have been, and much more. Multiple mazes, great graphics, and the best game-play, period. I have only one problem with it, ADDICTION! Thanks.
  6. Jesse has us drooling for more! 8-) If FB2 is what we hope it to be, plenty of classic gamers should be smiling soon.... Brad
  7. Sounds great! Can't wait! :-) Now I have to decide what to bring. SteveW mentioned he would like a Lynx set up, and that would be a good idea. I could bring 2 Lynx systems, 2 comlynx cables, and plenty of games. Possibly a Lynx competition? Anyone else? 8-) Brad

  9. That probably depends where you live in Oklahoma. You might have some luck in either Oklahoma City, or Tulsa, but forget anyplace else because it's bone dry. Thrift shops in this area have very little selection of consoles, or games.

    OKGE 2004!

That's exactly what I have planned for any event, or get-together. The computer opponents (AI) cannot replace the feeling you get when playing against a live opponent. I was able to enjoy attending the NWCGE earlier this year, and the best times would be multi-player action. Bombastic (PS2), War of the Monsters (PS2), and Rush 2049 (Dreamcast) gave several gamers the opportunity to blast each other away! Personally, I don't think it matters which console (or consoles linked) that we use, as long as it's fun for everyone. Brad

Eric, Here are the winners, listed as they were written (hopefully I'm spelling them right), for the SI competition: 1st: Greg Yarbrough. Scored 3330 points. Hope you enjoy the mini-cocktail controller, and SI anniversary game. 2nd: Lucas DeWady. Scored 3090 points. Hope the clock works, and the T-Shirt fits. 3rd: James Harmon: Scored 2800 points. Hope the T-Shirt fits. Brad

    OKGE 2004!

Fellow OKGE'ers Just a quick thanks to all for putting on a great show! OKGE was an event to remember. The best part for me would be meeting everyone in person. There's no substitute for the real thing! Brad p.s. If I do another show like this again, A multi-gaming table will be ready. Whether it's an Atari Lynx set-up, or another console (or multiple consoles) set-up, multi-player action always seems to draw big smiles from everyone. After my batteries died in my Lynx systems this year, I pulled out a Dreamcast with 4 controllers, and several people enjoyed it, even though it was kind of late (only about an hour left in the show).

    OKGE 2004!

Glad that you enjoyed it! Sorry about the Lynx multiplayer games. I asked several people at OKGE if they wanted to start a Lynx multi-player game like Warbirds, but no one seemed interested. Although I did forget to bring extra batteries, power paks, or AC adaptors for long Lynx sessions. Any chance you saw my table with about 50 Lynx games, 3 systems, pouches, cases, etc...., next to a Jaguar set-up? It was 2 tables down from my Space Invaders competition table. Did you get to try my Vectorcade joystick for the Vectrex? Everyone that did, loved it, and offered to buy it. As for the Lynx, maybe we should have planned it different. Possibly have an entire table for Lynx multi-player gaming, with plenty of stuff for everyone. Brad

    OKGE 2004!

Sorry about the dinner. I wish that more people could get together for it, and possibly some fun afterwards. Personally, it looks like I can't get out of my new schedule change. So, I won't be in Tulsa until about 11:00 pm Friday. But, Pac-Man vs will be fun Saturday!
  15. I'll have it displayed next to my Jaguar set-up. See ya Saturday! Brad
  16. All these new demos look, and sound great! Can't wait until Saturday! Brad

    OKGE 2004!

Who's up for some multi-player gaming fun, either Friday evening, or Saturday after the show? What type(s) of multi-player games do you like? Fighting, racing, first person shooter, shoot-em-up, battle, puzzle, or something else I may have left out? I've got Pac-Man vs. for the Gamecube, but have not tried the 4-player mode yet. One person controls Pac-Man, while the other 3 controll the ghosts! It sounds like fun. At NWCGE, I set up a PS2, with Bombastic and a multitap. Then, five people started to match the dice, and blow each other up! Bombastic drew a crowd, and was a big hit. My personal fav multi-player game would be the battle mode in Rush 2049, for the Dreamcast. There's nothing like dropping your green balls on your opponents!
  18. Dan, It hasn't arrived yet. Here's what I'm planning to bring to OKGE: Space Invaders 25th Anniversary competition: PS2, SI anniversary game along with the mini-cocktail controller. http://www.geocities.com/bdprill/invaders.html And I just got DoDonPachi Daioujou. A great looking 2D vertical scrolling shoot-em-up to stick in the PS2, if the competition ends early. GameCube w/classic games: PC Genjin(Bonk's Adventure, from the TurboGrafx-16) Cubic Lode Runner (3D update) And, (via the GameBoy player)a multicart with 130 Famicom games, including some hacks like Mario Mappy, and Project Mario Lode Runner. Vectrex, a multicart, and some recent homebrews. (Should I bring my Vectorcade joystick?) LYNX, some multi-player games, and 2 comlynx cables. Jaguar, JagCD, pro-controller, rapid fire controller, Jamma joystick, Rotary controller, and several games including Painter, Battlesphere, Protector SE, Space War 2000, etc... And a Neo Geo Pocket Color with a japanese interactive cartoon game that I picked up at CGE this year. Maybe someone at OKGE can figure out how to play it? A few things for sale. Boxed 2600 commons. Boxed Vic 20 commons. 2 Dreamcast imports. See you there, Brad

    OKGE 2004!

Website update. Check out the picture of the Space Invaders 25th Anniversary mini cocktail controller that will be part of the grand prize: http://www.geocities.com/bdprill/invaders.html A standard PS2 controller fits inside, under the lid. It has suction cups on the bottom for a secure grip. It feels good, and plays well, but I prefer using a standard dual shock controller.
  20. Could it be the "Exciting Atari 5200 First Star games coming soon...", along with screen shots?
  21. Thanks for the tip Rob. My pre-order is in.
  22. A ColecoVision Joy Sensor. Don't see to many of those. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=8124715117

Lynx-up! Comlynx: I've got 2 cables, and will look for another. Lynx multi-player games I could bring: Battle Wheels x2, Battlezone 2000 x2, California Games x 2, Gauntlet x2, Joust x2, Slime World x2, Warbirds x2, Tennis, Miniature Golf, Casino, Rampage, NFL Football, Cyberball x2, Malibu Bikini Volleyball, Qix, Rampart x2, Robosquash, PONX, Pac-land, Super Skweek, X-Bots x2, Checkered Flag x2, Hyperdrome, Ishido, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure x2, Pitfighter, Basketbrawl, Baseball Heroes Brad
  24. The 2 lynxes that I brought to OKGE last year barely got noticed. Maybe I should have put them on a seperate display? (multiple systems and TV's on one table was kinda hard to show.) Cocktail Space Invaders sounds great! Is it original, or Deluxe with an overlay?
