  1. There is a reset hole in the controller. You can try to get in back in order with a pin. The fan does that yes. When I upgraded the ram and put in a SSD I also replaced the thermal pad with a good cooling paste. I like to think that the fan is less active now, no hard prove for that though.:) Considering the other pad, you can connect other controllers via usb, it works.
  2. Ah, I just realised that I liked a post from early 2023. Are we back at the Kag yet?
  3. Oh man, I took this as an opportunity to update the Atari OS and the controllers as I rarley use the VCS in that mode, because it has Windows 10 on the SSD. Aaaanway, I downloaded Dynablaster because of its name an my fond memories with it, thinking the singleplayer mode would be like that in the old game. I can't tell you how dissapointed I am in that game. And I am angry with myself for not checking out reviews in advance and opt for a better game. Haha. What a wasted opportunity for such a nice gesture. In any case I do appreciate the code for the free game, thanks a lot. Really. It is funny how I almost end up being ungrateful for my own descison and badly managed expectation. Should have gone with Boulder Dash maybe or Akka Arr (although I probably get that one for the Xbox anyway).
  4. Wasn't it space ace that was broken?
  5. The Jaguar game drive has the possibility to let you play cd games too. The save feature is not yet implemented though but it is supposedly coming so that will safe you from buying a CD Rom. No other alternative is available. The GD is also awesome to play homebrews and check out lots of demos and stuff that gets released here, so it is highly recommended. Only other alternative is to play the games on the emulator. There is a really good one out there now just recently.
  6. So today is the day Rough Justice ’84 by Gamma Minus made it to the consoles. As of today it is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One and of course still available on PC. Treat yourself with a little christmas present and be sure to check out the awesome German localisation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_vg0Uy85JI https://www.xbox.com/de-de/games/store/rough-justice-84/9pgmt9t2n5rg https://store.playstation.com/de-de/concept/10008318
  7. From what I know it would have been a rail shooter a la Blue Lightning but with polygonal 3D graphics... Did not know they also had a 2D Shooter in mind, that would have been cool as well of course.
  8. I agree when you look at it this way but in my head at that time it was just the start of a long list of new games that were hopefully to follow. And that in a time where we did not get that many new games. Now of course it is ridiculous to look back and see that with all the drama over years all that was released where two games and some demos or something like that ...
  9. Where does this come from now? For ages we had just the short ingame clip... it amazes me time and time again, that there are still things popping up all these years later.
  10. Awesome pictures, thank Neo... incredible display, very nice to see.
  11. Just a quick note to mention this year's Jagfest. There is not much talk about it here but it's really an awesome event for fans of this (and other systems). I took my nephew with me this year and unfortunately we were pretty late but it was really nice to be there again and see so many familiar faces and also some new ones. Had the pleasure to check out some new stuff on the Jag too, so that is awesome. There was a version of Jumping at shadows on display and also the new pirate themed game which name eludes me right now. As usual there was a checkered flag on lynx multiplayer competition and a mario kart one and there were all kinds of things to check out left and right. And even an awesome jaguar cake:D. Thanks to Björn for organising this again and already looking forward to next year. Also, how was it on Sunday?
  12. Glad to hear you got it back. Would be a shame to lend it out to no avail and then also losing it in the process. Good for you.
  13. He's more into publishing books these days.:)
  14. Isn't that Mike Mika, seems like he has plenty to do with his company today. But yeah there was a time where he was posting about this on his Twitter.
  15. This sentence applies to soooo many things and it always happens again.:D
  16. Cool... interesting how he keeps adding stuff that wasn't in the games, seems like a real labor of love.
  17. Maybe this helps? https://forums.atariage.com/topic/259064-test-if-a-skunkboard-is-present/?do=findComment&comment=3738066
  18. Sure you can disagree. It is also pretty easy to say that when you are not the one that might get sued by a company when releasing it. (Might be Disney now in your example.) Also we do not have any information about what measures have or have not been taken to preserve what is there. But the main point is that I don't get negativity. It's like trading stories around the fire, that's half the fun I take from this community for the last twenty years or so. It's like I said above, I don't get why someone would rather not want to hear the story and instead resort to insults if they can't have what was found and somehow feel entitled to it. It completely ignores the worries of the people that would make it possible in the first place. Would you risk your neck for some people on the net who simply want what you found and then finding that others profit from that on top of it? The dick move might be not to care about any of that as long as one gets what is desired.
  19. I don't quite get why you regard this as "teasing". Would you rather not want to know that a working copy of the game exist? This is a cool information even if the game itself will never be released. Some years ago I went to a Jagfest and was able to see a work in progress of it and play it with a trainer enabled, so I could play it for a long time and that was awesome. Would I like to own it myself? Sure. But to call it toxic and disrespectful, when lots of information including videos of the otherwise unreachable levels is shared and very reasonable reasons are given why a release seems unlikely... really? I'd rather try to take the positive aspects from that. There are lost games out there which we have only like ten second videos of. Soul Star could be just a corrupted copy floating on the net (which btw was already pretty cool to check out and try ways around the bugs back in the day). And now we are able to see even more of it ... That is a win even in its lost game state.
  20. Thanks man, appreciated your answer. Turns out the new password I use is too long for entering in the 360, so I had to go the other way to get the app password. Pretty convoluted way for just activating an old console but it worked out in the end and it went live again
  21. This must be the most embarassing thing I have seen in ages ... You would think that being found making such a "website" would be a career killer.
  22. Would there be any reason why I can't log in to my account with an Xbox 360? It worked for the Xbox one s, one X, series s and series X but for some reason it refuses to let me go online with my 360.
  23. Nice haven't seen this bit yet although it is of course only a bit of (cringy) marketing bla bla "to meet high standards ofgraphics appeal and incorporate the "fun factor" for whichAtari products are so well known" but yeah still interesting to read, so thanks for sharing. Was this in a newsletter or where did it originate?
  24. You could have googled it, than you might have found something like this post including screenshots: http://www.atarijaguar.co.uk/2014/10/total-recall.html
