    After a few weeks with VCS i got off ebay i'm willing to say that it's an interesting curiosity but i'm not sure it will see much success.  There simply isn't enough nostalgia for Atari among remaining active gamers to make this sell in any sort of significant numbers.  That said there are a lot of good ideas; and i'm certainly up for a more powerful PC box for my TV down the road sometime.  I hope the VCS does well and carves out a niche and following; but my expectations are low. The big challenge as i see it is the high price relative to power.  It's just not powerful enough to run much 3D stuff, and the indies it's likely to see are on every other platform under the sun and for less.  We'll see, only time and the market will tell!

    I just got the same email. I guess I need to figure out which M.2 drive to get, and find a copy of Windows 10.

    More than illegal, they are on a grey zone. Don't expect them officially, but you can run them without fearing a raid on your home asking for your head...or fines lol.

     

    But if they are on Linux, and being "Atari OS" a Debian based distro, someone could "port" them with a proper drawer icon and splash screen/easy install.

     

    I, maybe incorrectly, assumed that the emulators were technically legal, but it was the Roms that were illegal to provide.

    I just pulled the trigger (thanks to this new VCS forum!), so I will have a VCS 800 coming at some point. Are these emulators ever going to be in the VCS store, as opposed to installing and running on Windows 10, or is it illegal to provide them? It would be cool to not have to reboot to play old games on emulators.

    Plays just fine on my phone running Android. You just need to have a proper app installed that can handle mpeg encoded videos.

     

    ROFLMAO. For CrApple devices there is no hope since CrApple limits what you can do by locking the phone down, and dictating to programmerz what they will allow on the phone. CrApple users always think that their overpriced toys are magical.

     

    I also get mad when people use a different kind of phone than I do.

    There is no way I'd even bother porting the ST version of Ballblazer because it is truly, utterly, completely HORRIBLE.

     

    That would need a complete re-write for the Jag.

     

    Is this game any good? It would be fun to have a wrestling game on the Jag:
