  1. I ordered two from here, at the suggestion of some Atari Age members. http://www.1632-sales.zenwebhosting.com/ac...lays.html\ It's slightly different from the original, but it works fine. Also, there was a restriction for minimum order, but I emailed him, and he removed it.
  2. I have the Best gun. It works great on Alien Brigade.
  3. Maybe they could have separate screens. One for each scenario. On static screen could be the up the wall part, and another could be a different part of the track.. (X-cross etc.) It wouldn't really scroll, but would give the illusion. BTW, I love the paddle button/accelerator idea!
  4. I wish there was light gun support....
  5. Counters= what the name implies; countering (i.e. stopping) your opponent's attack with your own and hitting him / her at the same time. Juggles: A barrage of repetitive attacks that juggle the player (i.e. keeping him / her off the ground) that does enormous amounts of damage . Thanks! Hopefully this topic will pick up steam & someone will accept the challenge! On another note, has anyone played the fighter Dark Rift for N64? My friends and I had the strategy guide, and would play for hours. It seemed like the closest thing to Tekken available. Looking back, I don't see why the Jag couldn't handle a game like that..
  6. Just wondered if you had any thoughts on the game yet? I often wondered if I played through the game and got all the moves if it would be better than the reviews. Most of the reviewers gave up before that.
  7. Co-sign. I love fighters... It would be great to shut everyone up who uses Fight for Life as an example as to why the Jag sucks and wasn't 64 bit!!
  8. What are Counters/ Juggles? BTW, I'm surprised everyone isn't dying for a 3D Jag Fighter, something to show that the system can handle it....
  9. Gorf posted a great way using a t-shirt, contact solution, and a notched credit card. I'm sure a search would bring up the thread.
  10. Interesting. Always nice to meet an original developer for Atari systems and especially cool to see unrelased titles and source code. Just curious was one of those issues with Winter Games missing sounds? I think some people discovered some versions of Wnter Games had issues with some sounds missing. I have one of those. The bobsled race is silent for sure.
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=320322933008 These are pretty common, but thought I'd try to drum up a little interest!!! Item number: 320322933008
  12. I think the CoJag games included more memory plus a hard drive, if I remember correctly. I think the Jag could totally do this....
  13. Well, first: 1) Big and sleek is right...TOO damn big. That thing is so big, I've had trouble storing it. A CV, on the other hand, can go anywhere a 5200 can, plus more. I like the overall CV look better, although the red LED on the 5200 is nifty. How in the world do you always manage to turn every thread on Atariage into something about the merits of the Colecovision? By now we all know how much you love your Colecovision! Do you want to be with it? Gee Whiz! Isn't there a Colecovision message board anywhere? If not, you should start one!
  14. Gotcha.. Wow, that site is easy on the eyes! Was it made on an Adam?
  15. That's alot of Colecovisions! Twice as many as CVGUS was quoting! Edit: Is that figure on either of these links? I cant find it.
  16. "Sales quickly passed one million in early 1983, before the video game crash of 1983. The ColecoVision was discontinued in the spring of 1984.[citation needed] In 1986, Bit Corporation produced a ColecoVision clone called the Dina, which was sold in the United States by Telegames as the Telegames Personal Arcade." River West Brands currently owns the ColecoVision brand. From Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ColecoVision Gus, I'm not saying that Wikipedia is the gospel, but these are the only statistics I can find (which are echoed by other sites, I'll provide links if necessary). Where are you getting 3 million units from? I guess it is entirely possible that the clone makers and liquidation warehouses sold 2 million more Colecovision based platforms, but going from these figures, it would had to have happened after the crash.
  17. I don't know why you fall into the same silly logical traps over and over and over again. Pac Mac Collection DOES look awesome on the Colecovision. Opcode did a terrific job. He does terrific work on all that he does. But PAC MAC IS A SIMPLE GAME!!!! Comparing the Colecovision and the 7800 (or 5200) on the basis of how well they play a simple game like Pac Man and then assuming "They must be almost similar" is ridiculous. Stick SIRIUS or ALIEN BRIGADE on the Colecovision and have it running as well as it does on the 7800 and I'll think you don't have your head up your ass. This isn't a slam on the Colecovision as a system, as a hardware platform or anything else. It's a slam on your crazy logic. Seriously Gus... Again?
  18. I didn't know you had an insight into parallel universes? It's ireelevant though because the crash did happen. It killed the Colecovision. End of story. With 70+% of the market as documented by many sources? You are so full of it. So why didn't sales fall to zero (instead of remaining the number one console) and why didn't publishers stop making arcade translations for it? No, but again, you've shown you like to rewrite documented historical fact. To 5200 owners, sure. To 2600 owners (of which there were a great many more than Colecovision or 5200 owners), what would the story have been? I can play my games out of the box and have a newer system. No, because Colecovision was dead. Finished. Nada when the 7800 hit test markets. Assuming you could afford the module. How relevant is this exactly? There are a handful of 7800 games that MIGHT NOT work on some 7800s. Honestly dude ... why do you post here? I mean really? It's not like you listen to facts even when they're put in your face. You simply abandon thread and then start new ones with the same arguments which attempt to rewrite history. Gus, I have to agree with everything Drac is saying. People have answered and debated! You ignore it and repeat yourself! We get it! You don't think the 7800 is better (or THAT much better) than the CV (or 5200)! You're pissed off about it! Jeez!
  19. Yeah, aren't you glad the creator of this thread wasn't sent to the To All Non-Programmer Idea Peddlers thread? "If you think Ballblazer might be is possible, make it yourself or shut up." I'll co-sign that!
  20. Seems stupid to use the computer version of one on one. The 7800 looked much better with the wood floor...

    RSOD?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this works great! Thanks Gorf! I just received a lot of 5 games and Bubsy had the RSOD. You're a life saver! The only things I might add is to watch for cotton fibers from the Q-tip sticking to the cart edges. To remove them I just ran the T-shirt with the credit card across the board. Also, wait for the carts to dry before trying them. I cleaned 2 separate carts and tried them immediately and my Jag didn't boot up. It was only after drying did they work. Maybe I'm a dumbass. I guess that should of been common sense, no?
  22. I've been lurking in this thread since it started. This is too kick ass! You're on fire man! Keep it up!
  23. Do you think it's a scam? I put a waterbed on Craigslist in Cleveland and got the same response from someone... Here's part of it: Hi I am looking for a waterbed for health reasons. Being on social security I could only afford $100.00.
