Round 12 (final Round) of the 2013 Harmony Games: Space Rocks
toymailman replied to Dan Iacovelli's topic in Atari 2600
Score update for me. 38,200 -
Of those three, I pick Starmaster, but they are all pretty close in their level of "fun" for me. The four that are missing from your list (already mentioned) are: Star Ship (early Atari) Space Attack (M-Network) Phasor Patrol (Starpath) Starfire (XYPE homebrew) Also, although not a shooter, Stellar Track (Sears exclusive), was a fun space game.

I got over 2k as well to join Gorfy in the club. 2,196 (for some reason the "Add to Post" option for my pictures is not working)

Pre-orders for Endless Snow 2600 now being accepted
toymailman replied to rjchamp3's topic in Atari 2600
I got mine today and played it on my 2600. Fun game! However, I think I found a bug in it. I can't seem to get the snow if it is all the way to the right of the screen. I have moved my joystick all the way that direction, but I can't fling the snow into my neighbors yard. Picture is below. -
This topic seems to have gone cold. Would you still be interested in trying a multi-cart for this system? I have really liked you other products! I was hoping this thread would result in a schematic to upgrade the Studio 2 to have... color (like a studio 3) composite video / mono audio out easier power supply connection and of course the multi-cart

Odyssey 2 Question - Computer Intro problem
toymailman replied to toymailman's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
I have tried that as well. Although I did not try it on my latest multi-cart. It is the C7060 that has nearly all the O2 games ever made except of course games that have been released after it. I didn't try the latest one because the other Computer Intros on the other multi-carts did not work. I have the 128-in-1 and the 233-in-1 carts and neither of those Computer Intros worked. I get the same glitchy gobbledy-gook as I get trying to use a regular Computer Intro cart. However, I gave it a go with the C7060 and I get no flashing garbage. I think it works. I get a screen that displays the word "COMMAND". Is this what I am supposed to get? If it does work then why do no other instances of this program work on any of my systems? Weird. -
Odyssey 2 Question - Computer Intro problem
toymailman replied to toymailman's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
Do you have any that do work? -
This has been bugging me for a while now (few years) and I just got a couple more Computer Intro carts from eBay in a lot that I won. Does anyone know why Computer Intro doesn't work on some Odyssey 2's? I've had close to 10 Computer Intro carts pass my way and none of them have worked in any of my otherwise fully functioning Odyssey 2's. All other carts work just fine, but not this one. I've tried both with and without the Voice and on three different types of consoles (Early unit with removable silver joysticks, later unit with hard wired joysticks, and a NAP version of the console). Is there something specific to the operation of just this cart inside the O2 that wouldn't affect the functionality of any other cart? Finally, I have cleaned all the carts that have come my way (I do this for pretty much all my vintage game stuff) so I can't believe that all of them are defective. Thanks for any help.

FYI to Al, that Atari2600.com has many that are less than $2.00. It looks like some Pole Position 2's for $0.95 and some others for $1.95.

Star Castle Arcade Label Contest
toymailman replied to Albert's topic in AtariAge Sponsored Contests
I looked through all of them and totally agree. There are many great submissions but these two stood out for me. If I had to pick I might lean towards Tom's but Jordi's is also top notch! -
Canyon Bomber - Some of the later game variations use the paddle (like the Depth Charge variations). Steeple Chase - The paddle controls how high the horse will jump. The higher he jumps then the easier it is to clear the hurdles, but the slower the horse goes while jumping. Tac-Scan - The paddles go in the right hand controller port. I didn't even know joysticks worked in the left port. I'll have to try that. Bumper Bash - I think this is just the paddle buttons. Toyshop Trouble - The paddles are used for the Easter Egg game. There is a link to this in a post above.

I'll take a CIB and a loose version please!

I really like the feel of the original CX-40s and I think the FB2 sticks are equally as good for the same original feel. Additionally, I think the FB2 sticks are more responsive. However, they do have some common failure points. To get a little more life out of them I always superglue the top part of the stick to the screw part. After that, usually the first thing that breaks is the little plastic rectangle parts that help push the switches down to make contact (shown in red). I have found that those are not really necessary for it to work so this is generally not the end of an FB2 stick for me. When something major finally snaps (shown in yellow) then I'm done with it.

I'd be in for a boxed version of each.

Selling 2600 Repros/Homebrew games and more
toymailman replied to UberArcade's topic in Auction Central
Where did that Jack and the Beanstalk version come from? The artwork looks pretty cool. I think the one I have from a PRGE show is more like a "text label" version. -

New score, and made it to the first boss, but he defeated me. 40,460 -
Count me in if this gets a cart release or even better a boxed release.
