  1. I can dump it if you don't mind mailing it out.

    Mitch

Cool Mitch, shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to mail it to ya. Glad to help the Atari community! :)

Also, could you dump a couple other carts I have? I have some NTSC Brazil carts I'd like to get the ROM for to "harmonize" with my other ROMs. Its games like Squirrel, Mission 3000 AD etc. Unless the NTSC versions are already dumped somewhere. I looked at one time but did not find them.

  2. I've seen a couple of boxed Foot Craz over the last 8 or 9 years. Someone had a CIB one at CinciClassic for $900. I probably would have bought this one had it not been tax season. The price was fair given the condition of everything.

Cool. I didn't have a feel for price, but knew I wanted it and had recently sold a bunch of stuff to pay for it. :)

Yes, if possible, please dump the ROM. AFAIK there only exist one dump containing the Roman numbers countdown.

Will do, could I send it to ya for dumping? I assume there is no damage to the cart in the process?

  3. If you are seeing numbers instead of Roman numerals, then that means an alternate rom exists. I have no idea if it is rare or common. The dump out there uses Roman numerals.

If you ever get the opportunity, maybe bring it to a gaming convention and somebody will dump it for you. I would be curious to see what the differences are in the rom myself.

Finally, congrats on getting the box (It's not easy!). I hope it's in minty shape, and you got it for a good price.

The box is in okay shape (not minty) and on this title I really don't know what a good price is. I've never seen it come up for auction before.

For the game, there are no numbers at all. It just makes three beeps with no visual countdown. I'll be at the Portland show in early October. If someone is there with dumping abilities then I'll be happy to bring it. :)

  4. I have a couple of rare items for sale.

First is Tooth Protectors with manual (NTSC). The cart is in nice shape with a decent label. It has been cleaned and tested. The manual is also in good condition. There is a crease on the left hand side near to the center. However, it is very bright white and shows no signs of yellowing due to age. I have another manual that I am keeping that does have some minor yellowing but it is free of creases. I debated (with myself) a long time to decide which I should keep. The bright white with a crease or the slightly yellow that is otherwise perfect. I have decided to keep the later. What would you have done? :ponder:

Next is Great Escape with manual (PAL). The cart is in good condition and works, but is PAL format. The manual has some staining and a couple spots where some scuffing has occured.

Price $75 with free priority shipping. (Semi-Firm)

Finally, I have a Mangia cart (PAL). The cart is in great shape and works, but is PAL format. If this was NTSC then I think it would be ~$500, but I know a PAL version is quite a bit less. Anyone have a good feel for its value? I will start with an asking price given below.

    (*** SOLD!! ***)

Price: $150 with free priority shipping. (Not Firm)

  5. I recently won a boxed Video Jogger/Reflex and fired it up. For Video Reflex I noticed there is no roman numeral countdown when a game is started whereas my other cart has this. Is one version more rare than the other or are they about the same?

  6. To achive exactly a Studio III (3), you would need a Studio II (2) and mod it with a CDP1862 plus a VP-595 Simple Sound

board and also a extra 1k RAM for the Color (VRAM), which this would make a NTSC version of an European clone.

Thanks for sharing this. Now I'm looking forward to the multi-cart and the possibility to mod my system to have...

    • power mod
    • video mod
    • Studio III mod

  7. I'm telling you, that Indy 500 trophy is fantastic. I have it sitting on the mantle much to my family's chagrin. Front and center baby.

    Nice and Congratulations Rick!

Have you had a chance to see if it is actually a working console?

  8. Well, I don't think I represented AtariAge well in the Indy500 competition :_( Toymailman and I did ok in the Pong competition; I guess we were in the top 5 or 6 out of maybe 24. Fun time, even though I didn't have much $$ this show; some deals at the end helped a lot. Thanks to all the organizers for their efforts!!

Yeah, it was great fun and great to meet ya! I missed getting into the Pong semi-finals by 1 point.

I wish more had entered the Indy 500 tourney, but I think those that did enter had a really good time.
