A new best, and my goal is met. $66,555 I don't think a person can get much higher. In this game the difficulty gradually keeps scaling upward. It doesn't peak out like Atlantis did. The delay between cop cars appearing after a bank is grabbed keeps getting shorter. Also, the cop car speed keeps getting faster. On the level I died on there was virtually no more delay and the cops are faster. So, pretty much as soon as I grab a bank then I'm busted. Lost all 6 of my back-up cars on this last level alone.

Thanks man! But actually the highest score I know of is my brother's best of ~$62,000. I wasn't kidding when I said my plan was to top that one! I find I am a little bit better player as an adult than when I was a kid. Is this true for anyone else? Anywho, how does one submit something to TwinGalaxies out of curiosity? I see players here in the HSC routinely get one of the top three, if not thee top. It would be cool to have a certificate for the collection.

Sign me up for one of those!!

Another great choice. I loved this game as a kid. I beat my score as a child and now I need to beat my older brothers score too! So far... $53,711

This will probably be my last go at this game. It was addictive and fun. I broke the 90k level but couldn't roll it. 90,300

Thanks for responding. Yeah, some have stood the test of time, but most have died. I have 4 now and three have completely black screens and one has buildup in the bottom corners. I have taken them apart and cleaned all the contacts, but still no luck getting the screens back. If anyone else has any suggestions of where to go let me know. Thanks again guys!

Hi all, sorry to bring back this idea again. However, I played my Atari 800 recently and forgot that it has 4 joystick ports. Would a 4-player Indy 500 game be possible on this system? You could actually use 4 driving controllers then. Graphics could be updated, and some of my other thoughts could probably make it in the game as well. That would be too cool!

I have recently aquired some Microvision handheld systems. They, of course, each have screen rot to some degree or another. Does anyone know if they can be fixed? If not, then does anyone know where a replacement screen can be found? I would not mind a modern replacement either so long as it works/compatible. The screen is 16x16 pixels and is about 2" square. Thank you for any help.

Blackjack, it looks like you got 521 on A2 instead of 512. The ship speeds at that point make me go cross-eyed too! I got a little better Atlantis II score as well. 559

I have some pretty good stuff up this week. Nearly the last of my rare - very rare extra stuff now. Thank you for looking! http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtoymailman

Awesome! I assume you also like the 999,999 score cap idea? Anyone else like these? I played a couple of rounds of Atlantis II and DAMN!!! I think by wave #4 the ships can (and most often do) move faster then they ever did in Atlantis I. Also, because the scoring is reduced by a factor of 100, it seems nearly impossible to even get one free city piece at the 10,000 mark. The good thing is that each game takes only a few minutes before the Gorgons wipe me out. I'll be able to use my thumb for other things now.

I have some more thoughts. Instead of everyone that breaks the 1 million mark tying for first place with an effective score of 999,999. We could have those individuals submit scores for Atlantis II as tie breakers. So for example, if 4 people break 1 million they then play Atlantis II until the week is over to determine 1st through 4th place. 5th place is still awarded to the highest score that did not reach 1 million. 1st - Player A 999,999 (1,617) 2nd - Player B 999,999 (1,102) 3rd - Player C 999,999 (622) 4th - Player D 999,999 (422) 5th - Player E 765,400 6th - etc... This way players are incentivised to get 1 million as soon as possible (takes about an hour) so they will have the most time to play Atlantis II before the week is over. Atlantis II is extremely challenging, and would be a good way to decern between the players who have clearly mastered Atlantis I. Anyway, just my two cents worth.

Finished a marathon session. I timed it and it takes about an hour for every million points. I put in a little over three hours. Once you get one million then it seems you can play forever. You have the timing nailed down and then the ships drop like flies. 3,230,600 Score before getting to the 1 million mark. Score before hitting 3 million (you can see the "2" in the ones place) A little after 3 million and I called it quits. It took over 15 minutes to kill off all the extra city pieces stored up and I just watched, but bonus points are still accumulated. Last shot before endgame shot. (3,202,600) Final shot. Does anyone know why the "3" in the ones-place dissappears in the final score? Shouldn't it stay to show that 3 million was attained? Also, what's up with the "2" in the tens-place. I did not get 20 million! What do people think that if someone gets over 1 million just call it 999,999 as was done with the Video Pinball week. There is no real point to spend all day playing (unless you are recording it for Twin Galaxies). Just a thought.

I tried really really hard this time! 219

I have my original light-sixer system (Christmas 1979), but don't use it. My system of choice is the s-video modded one from Atari2600.com. Picture and sound is unbeatable! I will still nver part with my original though.

I am eager to get mine. Can't wait to try it out! And see what goodies were included.
