Got it!!
Thank you Shawn.

This is an awesome game. I haven't played it for a while, but as a kid (who was into D&D) it was tons of fun to wander around, find treasure, fight monsters and kill a dragon!! I'll have to fire it up again to make sure my tape still works.

Count me in for this!!

Is there any was to still pick up a copy of Berzerk VE? I didn't get into collecting until after this gem was made.

I'm going! Its local for me so its a no brainer, but I am excited nonetheless.

Same goes for me too. You did an awesome job Ze_ro and I really appreciate it!
I enjoy collecting for the 2600 system, but I also like playing them. The HSC is great and I always look forward to the next game. I came in really late on the season (Fast Food), but never missed a week since. I'm excited about Season 5.
Any thoughts on how long it will be? One suggestion I have is to make it truly seasonal (ie. Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall) ~ 3 months each. This way the season is limited in length, everyone knows when it starts and stops, others can join in on a fresh season relatively soon.
Fall = September, October, November
Winter = December, January, February
Spring = March, April, May
Summer = June, July, August
As we are into "Fall" already, Season 5 could be a long Winter or short Fall season.
Anyway, this is just a suggestion (please ignore at will). I will enjoy the HSC in whatever incarnation it takes on.

I'll be watching for what's next!

Put me down for one too!

Hi guys! I just started collecting 7800 stuff (have been focusing in on 2600 for about a year and a half). If there is a boxed copy of a new 7800 release on the way you can count me in.

Wow, almost forgot to post my score. Can't compare to the scores posted by many of you guys, but it'll have to do.
44,800
Also, it seems more often than not that people here best the Twin Galaxy scores. Sometimes a new world record like this week; great job Captain! Has anyone ever tried to submit theirs?

Did one of the Quadruns go away? Someone here get it? There were two up this week and didn't think the end date had happened yet.

I'm feeling good about it.
It was one I didn't have in any style. Also, I was lucky to see Atari2600.com had a loose manual. Ordered it, so now I have my CIB Boing (or soon). Total was still under $200 including manual and shipping.

That was a good purchase for sure. Fun with Numbers has its own manual, and it was even released in a different box (grey), but I only have the original blue one at the moment.
-
Hi Mitch, is it too late to get a cart and manual for Missing in Action? Let me know as I am interested. :-)

Same story for me too. Great person to deal with!

Oh, as far as a new season goes. That sounds great to me. I came in around the Fast Food time (week 40-something?).
Another thought on the subject is how about sticking with a certain company for a "season". We could have a "Coleco" season, a "Tigervision" season, and heaven forbid a "Froggo" season. Wouldn't that be awesome to be crowned the Froggo champion!! For companies that released many games (Atari, Activision, Parker Bros., etc.) then those could be broken up. Anyway, just a thought. I have really enjoyed the HSC.

As for the situation with Atarimania...
I would send him a message back stating that a refund is only possible once the merchandise is returned. This is very normal, and I have done it as a buyer and a seller a few times. It is also how it works in a brick and mortar shop. If you buy something, take it home and discover it is boken/defective then you have to return it (usually with receipt) and THEN you get your money back. He is asking too much, and his items #3 and #4 are flat out wrong. #2 is unfortunately his perogative and #1 is very underhanded. Afterall it was SEALED. There was no way for you to test it. Therefore, the normal refund process is what should be expected, like I mentioned before.

This game goes from very easy to very challenging at the 10,000 mark for me. It seems there are many things that change all at once from Level 1 to Level 2. More enemies, a closer enemy, faster enemy shots, and more frequent enemy shots. I think it would be a bit better game if there was a more gradual change that happened a bit faster. Maybe every 2,500 points to implement one of the changes rather than all of them at 10,000. It also wouldn't take up to 20 waves to get the game to move along.
However, still not a bad game though and I've enjoyed trying to see how many waves I can last at Level 2. Level 3 seems impossible for me at this point though.
