  1. Shot a few more tanks, but can't seem to get to the next patch level. The enemy starts shooting crazy fast. 58 tanks
  2. Nice game. I don't think I ever earned the patch until now. 54 Tanks in 4 days flat
  3. Wow! Awesome collection Mr. Climber! I like your set of repros, Entity, Save the Whales, Apes, etc. Those Atari titles look very familiar
  4. My best time ever! The HSC is pushing me to new heights of Atari gaming. 5.87
  5. I assume it was this one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170115551579 Wow, nice grab and... ARGHHH! Yeah, I bid on it thinking it was a loose cart. The description said cart only unless otherwise noted. I reread it and I couldn't find where it was "noted". For a CIB version I would have gone over $100 easy as that is my last Imagic needed as well. The seller could have done a lot better, but congrats to you man! At least I'll have one less person to bid against me on the next one.
  6. I went with Game #1 with both on B/Novice. The game got fast after completing the first few levels. My score so far: 18,415
  7. Off the top of my head are two that stand out for me right now. I always go back to these and play them for the pure enjoyment of them. I will get three more added later. I haven't played all the games yet though, but the High Score Club is great fun to try games and see how far you can take them. 1. Indy 500 2. Lady Bug 3. ? 4. ? 5. ? As others have said nearly all the Activision titles are loads of fun. Kaboom, Pitfall I & II, Pressure Cooker, HERO, Decathlon, River Raid, etc.
  8. My final submission for this week: 276,720
  9. My auctions. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtoymailmanQQhtZ-1 Thank you for looking!
  10. This time it did not come apart so quick: 232,180 I know what you mean by the sore shoulder. I think the HSC has really helped build my Atari muscles up. These include the left thumb and right arm (between the deltoid and bicep). I don't think these muscles are used for anything else in life, but oh well. Also, I may have to try left handed so I don't get lopsided.
  11. Got into a bit of a zone before it all came apart: 183,540
  12. My new best is: 152,010. Very fun game. Always amazes me how fun a simple game like this can be. Genius of the designers and programmers back then. Once the sharks and subs go faster than my sub then it gets really hard really fast for me. Not very good at the "silent running" thing.
  13. I think you just bought a high dollar PAL game.. no where in the auction does it say it was NTSC, Some TV's will play both.. and that may be what they are using.. Good luck.. hope they will refund... I hope so too. I think the resonable assumption for the bidder would be NTSC for an auction originating in the USA and shown working. If it was PAL then that probably should be stated clearly, because I am sure everyone else who bid this one up assumed NTSC for the same reasons as myself. If the auction was from overseas, then my default assumption would be PAL. Selling a PAL game from the USA and not stating that fact is a bit deceptive in my opinion. Worse is not even responding to my messages. I have been very polite and professional in them as well. Oh well, we'll see what happens.
  14. I would make an offer here on the forums but you just joined the forum and have 9 post(please do not take that perosnally as I do not know you and it is not meant to be personal). Put it up on eBay and I'll buy it for $85 if you have high positive feedback. Also are you shipping from germany? That might also be an issue but i am interested. Here is an auction for one recently http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...W:IT&ih=001 That one turned out to be PAL. I got the classic scrolling on my screen. Trying to contact the seller so I can return for a refund, but haven't heard back yet. Thought for sure it would be an NTSC being located in the USA and a working screenshot. I tried it on both my TVs and many of my systems (heavy, lihgt, vader, jr, gemini) and all of them scrolled. They must have a TV that can compensate? Sent them a couple messages (Tuesday and Wednesday), but nothing yet.
  15. Hmmm...I had to consult the rarity guide on this one. It looks like Bowling is an R2 and Pac-Man is an R1. I'll have to take good care of my CIB Bowling now. Unless anyone here wants it for a mere $995??
  16. I'll get things started. 121,810 A personal best at this point.
  17. The best I could do: 128,300. I can get through the first 9 levels usually without loosing a life. Then it all goes down hill, quickly!
  18. A little better than before: 104,400. It gets really hard when the fireballs no longer have a delay. Can't avoid them fast enough, argh! My best by punching SlipeIce until they run out: 516,100. I actually can't keep playing forever by using this technique. Once the SlipIce runs out then I have to advance to the next level. By wave 12 or 13 the game is still just as hard, just the score is higher. I suppose the way to get the most of of this would be to not puch them and rather let them start to melt, kick 'em, and then get the wafer. That would be 1600 points for each instead of the 500 for a punch.
  19. My score so far...235,800 93,700. Oops, I just read that the constant SlipIce punching at the end of the later rounds is discouraged. Please scratch the old score and replace with the new one. I actually tried to see how high of a score I could get by using this tatic. I got over 500,000! I found there is not an infinite supply of SlipIce. It seems each round is limited to about 256 of them. Gets real boring, but does end eventually.
  20. Thanks for the great advice. I will add in the refund statement on auctions from now on and see if I can do it with this one as well. As I am not trying to make money with high shipping costs I can just state the weight and handling charges in the listing that I am using. This should clear it up for all. But yeah the shipping cost have gone up quite a bit! Especially for transactions going cross country like it would be for us Atarimania75. The zoned rates are big. Also, I know whenever I am listing something that FedEx doesn't come up as an option to select. Why is this? Sometimes they might have the best rate for buyers. Did eBay and FedEx have a spat?
  21. Thanks guys. I have a few questions of my own on the big lot item. First, eBay doesn't seem to be listing the international shipping options. I had choose three when I listed but nothing is coming up. I think this may be discouraging some potential international buyers. I tried to edit the item to see if I could add them, but it didn't let me. Is it because the weight I entered is too big? This lot will be a little over 30 lbs. I weighed it all before listing. Also, I have had a number of questions from potential bidders/buyers asking why the shipping is so much. For this I have been honestly telling them I don't know. I really am not trying to gouge people on shipping. Like I mentioned above I simply entered the weight and added a few bucks for handling to cover bubble wrap, peanuts, etc. The USA options I choose were USPS Priority, UPS Ground, and UPS 3 Day Select. Is there a cheaper option I could use for an auction this size. Any advice would be great, thanks!
  22. Items I would be interested in (that might fall in my price range) are complete NTSC boxed versions of... Subterranea Universal Chaos Up 'n Down Stargunner Picnic Mr. Do's Castle Track & Field Let me know! :-) Oh yeah, like Crazy Climber said: homebrews that are no longer available or other boxed repros that were released at gaming expos (Polo, Snow White, etc.)
  23. A little better than before: 206,660. This may be one of my all-time favs on the 2600. I played this for hours yesterday, never got bored, and lost track of time. Still need to get two veggie harvests to get the super big scores. What is the last day to submit for the week?
  24. Hi all, I have some listings up for this week. Three smaller lots and one really big one. http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZtoymailmanQQhtZ-1 Thank you for looking!
