  1. How did I miss this? How much and how do I pay you? (I'm posting from my Wii, I'm on the road and couldn't find the info in the middle of all the tags the browser doesn't understand)
  2. The wife and I played 2 hours of Millipede, 30 minutes of Frogger, and a 3 hour tour through Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Junior Pac. I played Ghostbusters and Commando alone for at least an hour each. 15 minutes of Raiders of the lost Ark. Mountain King for maybe 20 minutes. Asteroids until I flipped the score a few times. This was all in the last week. ...can you tell? When the question "Have you played Atari today?" comes up, my wife and I can generally answer yes?
  3. Indeed. That there is a seller with integrity. If anyone ever has any doubt about buying something from CPUWIZ, just remember my story here. First (EDITED TO ADD) ALMOST ripped off by a douche, and then CPUWIZ restores my faith in the community... proves me wrong about Parker boards (though seriously, you really CAN bully Sunstone into making more, lol), and ends up making my wife an extremely happy woman.
  4. Lol. He sent two messages saying the games work perfectly fine and sent me the invoices for the auctions again, along with "payment not yet received" notifications. What does he think we are, retarded enough to let him touch our money again?
  5. Allright everyone, he squared up, I got my money back. Looks like your bloodthirsty mob did the trick, wolfman. Thanks for lending them to me
  6. He's had the stuff back since Thursday, and no response of any kind. I figure nothing heard by Wednesday, then I escalate it into a full filing claim, and not just a dispute. Got the one from CPUWiz... it works.. perfectly. Has a beautiful label, the whole 9 yards. There we have an actual QUALITY seller.
  7. To add another story, I bought a 2600 and about a dozen games off of Ebay. He made a bunch of excuses about his house and whatnot, and I held in good faith. Do you know why that was? Because this person seemed otherwise reputable. He had low but positive feedback on Ebay, and was a friendly poster in all the communities we had in common. Atarimaster is not friendly, as shown by the tone of his posts on atariage. Someone's past actions account a lot towards how I believe in them. The Atari I waited 3 weeks for from the other guy? Works perfectly, and he threw in a magazine for my patience. Atarimaster? I will simply never deal with him again.
  8. Again I kinda stand 100% with my wife on this one. To make it clear, I thought she was overreacting at first as well. If I found she was; I'd have revoked the dispute myself. If there had just been a nonworking reproduction Ewok, it woulda been a matter of asking the seller to resolve. But also coming with a falsified common? That plus the guy's attitude on these boards really sets off the scam alert. Oh and my wife promises ot make her own ID if she has anything further to directly say about this.
  9. Frankly, I think he only did steps 5,6,8 and 9. And attempted to do step 10. Like I said on the other forum.. "Frankly, I think he smelled "Star Wars Collector" and figured she'd never actually try the carts. And he woulda probably been right if the Midnight Magic weren't junk as well." There's a few people over there saying I and my wife did something bad by immediately documenting this with Paypal. That's ridiculous. If he resolves it before mediation kicks in (September then nothing happens to him except the neutral feedback he will be getting. I also shipped the return back UPS, and insured it. You know why? Because these are the intelligent things to do when dealing with a situation like that. It costs a little extra, but ensures everything goes properly. Why do so many people blame the victim when all the victim is doing is protecting themselves?
  10. Sadly no. I'd like the C-Bill my wife spent on it back. So I shipped it out UPS. Tracked, Insured; I took photoes of myself putting the carts in and shipping it off, the whole 9 yards. I did consider having my neighbor's chihuahua leave a present int here, but decided against it at the last instant.
  11. Not if it's resolved prior to mediation.
  12. Is the seller refunding you directly? Did he contact you? My wife showed me the e-mail, he gave some excuse about them working as advertised or something, but agreed to refund after the games are sent back.. I'm going to send them with that arrival receipt thing the post office does. Though she is more livid then this calls for, I can't help but smell something fishy from the seller as well. A bogus Midnight Magic? Come on. What was he thinking? (Yes, we're both using the same message board account over here). Her friends on the BFFC were really eager about this. While people talk a good game and when ante up comes they tend to duck out, I'm sure it could have resulted in 1 or 2 more sales.
  13. Just got home and heard about all this. My wife practically wanted me to fly down and rip his heart out and hand it to him over this. Lol. Woman scorned.. and a Star Wars fan. Bad people to tick off. She's also not kidding, the Midnight MAgic is some weird cobble of parts, and the Ewok has glue all over. She's not just retarded, either. I tested both in all 3 of my ataris. Not a single success. The Ewok one did.. something.. on a 7800, but a game sure didn't come up.
  14. Sending the stuff back Monday per refund agreement. In the future I'll only buy from proven reputable sources. Glad I used Paypal.
  15. Dropped a hundred on it. That's why I instantly filed dispute with PAypal. The midnight Magic cart I ordered form the same seller is also a fake. The case has been mangled so badly there's holes in places there shouldn't be and it doesn't actually fit into a 2600. I have contacted him and will do my best to make sure a refund is given for this purchase. I agree with how the buyer handled this as it was a steep purchase. I went and looked at their Ebay feedback and saw they (atarimaster) had some positive feedback from other buyers of this same cartridge. Any chance it could have just been a faulty hack job on this one particular cart? Well, as discussed, it's the Midnight Magic cart that set me into "high alert" mode. This is the sort of thing why I prefer dealing with places like CTC instead of Ebay. Even if somehow this never got resolved, places that aren't huge businesses are better at keeping the scammer from doing it to more then one person. On Ebay, this would just be "Transaction #23455" and nobody who speaks English would actually be handling any part of it. It's like the difference between Wal-Mart and the local family-owned store.
