HTH = Hope this helps, my nick is on top of the post Oops, I didn't remember that the shareware version had such a limitation, sorry . However I'm glad you got to use the full version to make an image, as this program helped me a LOT during these kinds of situations. Anyway, I'm glad it all worked out in the end. George

I second that, with the exception of some people whining and shouting like they own the place

If you can make a dump of the syquest (I think winhex can do this, I just saw the option in the program but I didn't test it) into a file, then there's a big chance that you can mount that image into aranym or something similar and extract the files. HTH

$500? I wish I could use something like a RP machine and make a couple hundred of these... -
Images of soldering 13-pin DINs

Now boys, calm down or she'll disappear! And we don't want that now, do we? -
Hmm, I *think* I got that hyp file from an earlier build of afros (probably forgotten there by accident). So, just so you know, it has leaked

Yep, I know that, google seems to favor wikipedia a lot in its results. And I must say that (wikipedia) has been very useful for lots of subjects I wanted a quick info. However, if I want to look deeper into a subject, wikipedia never suits my needs, so I search for alternate sources of info. It's just that the original post had a slight hint of the old st-amiga war, like "oh look, the amiga people did ...., let's show 'em". Not to say that it'd bea bad thing to fill in the info in that article, but I personally won't lose any sleep over it. My 0.00000000002 cents.

Well, imho, who cares what wikipedia says. It's not like it's a real encyclopedia. If people want to find out about Atari's GEM then they can find hundreds of pages with detailed info around the 'net.

CJ, you're no fun at all, you know that?

Images of soldering 13-pin DINs
ggn replied to techie_alison's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Workbench? What workbench! Both my desks are covered with computer junk. So this means that when I want to solder something, I have to lie down on the floor, sitting on the carpet, with a piece of paper on top of the floortiles (at the edge of the carpet), crouching down and holding down the item I want to solder using a pair of pliers which my foot is holding P.S. I think I will see that very cable up close because I think it's the one Aly made for me . Cheers girl -
I'd like a set as well as I got 2.06de here. And 1 13pin->SCART cable And 1 or 2 PeSTs! So I'll definitely send you a mail tonight (I think I opened Pandora's box here )
-
Hmm, interesting, I bought the components to make one EXCEPT the 13-pin DIN, which, sadly wasn't available Funny note though, I visited my local electronics store, and I drew up the 13-pin plug and the guy told me: "Is that for Atari?". I was quite amazed! And then I was even more amazed when he told me that he had till recently a couple of them but sold them! Oh well... So if you can do it, I'll send you the money for a 13-pin to SCART cable and at least a PeST. Just drop me an e-mail with the full amount

Yes I am Cables? Of what sort? I am of course interested in some interfaces of yours . I'll email you soon about them!

Somehow it just doesn't feel same, wonder why (all those waves made me seasick *wink* *wave* *etc* )

D-Bug would like to announce the release of their brand new forum. Many thanks to Silver Surfer and Brume for allowing us to lurk on their hosted forum for many years. However we think the time is now right to go it alone, ploughing a long lonely furrow in the ever diminishing scene world of the Atari ST. We don't see our forum as a rival to the DHS forum, AF or AtariAge. It's simply a platform to talk all things D-Bug and Automation. We’ll try to be nice, if that’s at all possible. Ask us anything to do with D-Bug or Automation and we’ll endeavour to help you out. Automation / D-Bug active still since 1988

Scandoubler for 520ST for VGA screen use?
ggn replied to blakespot's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Hi Aly, so you recommend it? I am thinking of making a cable that connects the monitor output to the scart of my tv. I have found some docs around the internet and apart from the actual wiring they state that I just need 3 150 ohm resistors for each of the colour channels. -

Ozk rules! Great interview Joakim -
Well, donate TTs to D-Bug and you might be surprised at the length of the list (joking!)

Nothing. You asked, I answered. Plain ste, 4mb, floppy drive. BTW I like your use of 3rd person here. Oh, so it is not fair to warn everybody yourslef. Fine. Thank you very much. I just won't use your program again. Fair?
-
Think nothing of it You are quite wrong as I've actually seen a quicktime video of about 160x100 resolution with sound reaching about 10fps using mplayer Well, let's just say that I'm a little bit miffed that your program wiped clean my winxp partition including all data in it while imaging a disk. I could be that. Dunno. I'll let you know. Mister.

Well.... I don't know how to put this, but... http://perso.orange.fr/didierm/index-e.htm http://perso.orange.fr/gtello/mplayere.htm Better ask next time before spending time for nothing...

It is possible on older STs too. Full TOS ASCII table here: http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/appl...tml/appende.htm Just hold alt, type the number you like and release alt.

What upgrades have you done to the regular ST?

I can't see the attachment Oh sorry, that was broken until lately. Latest CVS version fixes that. I'll upload a fixed version when I can Like I said, press f12, then 'memory', then do some memory snapshots
