Can't Remember ST Game? Ask The Experts!
ggn replied to ali_fighter's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Maybe #1 is Turrican? -
Well tbh none of us has any OS installed atm other than TOS With some work we might get everything to work on all OSes, but remember that currently only 2 people are participating in the project (Showaddywaddy will join us soon we hope ). Bottom line is: sorry, but if it doesn't work for you in your current config, try a more minimal one....

The STFM 'blitter chip' upgrade
ggn replied to carmel_andrews's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
Hmm, ask any newschool amiga and st coders about c2p and they'll tell you that actually the st's bitplane mode is better than the amiga's. Also, mentioning "movep" to the ami coders has a tendency to turn their skin colour to green -
Well, that's our lot, enjoy and happy Christmas

Mega STE 2MB, TOS 2.05 (German), 720k floppy, no HD Soon to be swapped with: Mega STE 4MB, Tos 2.06 (German again!), FPU, 200-400mb HD, can't remember the floppy drive right now Oh, and still negotiating a TT
-
Jens, did you (or anyone else) try my releases (After the war and Damocles) on a tt?

when's the new steem saint or winston emu's coming out
ggn replied to carmel_andrews's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
So, download url of last night's CVS is here: http://users.hol.gr/~ggn/hatari-binary.zip STE compatibility has improved since winston. Hatari is the only one to emulate Paradox's "Pacemaker" demo properly which is STE only! Ok, for falcon compatibility mode you need a newer TOS. 4.0x can be found on the internet, or from your falcons I won't say much more. This is CVS version. It might be broken. I tried it and it worked. So have a play with it hand have fun! Report any problems to me, not the list, as it's my personal build! -

Here you go... Supply that your own TOS image and away you go! (I hope) Hope all DLLs are there (edit: seems attachments are not working? I'll upload it somewhere tomorrow) -
Okay, it should have been "the 12 days of D-Bug", to be on par with the well known song, but we missed some days it seems We'll try our best to make a release each day up to Christmas! Day 1: Star Ray Day 2: Forgotten worlds Day 3: After the war Day 4: Damocles Day 5: Hudson Hawk Day 6: APB Day 7: Confusion (Falcon!) http://dbug.atari.org

WinSTon is not dead! It simply got open source and got renamed to hatari! (http://hatari.atari.org). Falcon compatibility was recently added, and you can even watch quite some falcon demos in it! Don't expect anything perfect yet though! Aranym is what Chris said, a TOS clone. But I don't like it too much - seems too hackish for my tastes. As for the rest of the emulators, they seem to be in hiatus... -
I grew up with Pokey and YM sounds, so: Ya boo sucks to SID, YM ftw \o/
-
zeptari, Well, have you tried turning cache + cpu up on your mste and then running LOV? It might save us a bit of hacking
-
Rick, we might

I have a really big one like that not too long ago Want to hear it? (already commented it to some at the time). Hehe, please do
-
For me just replace MonST and GenST with Turbo Assembler and Bugaboo Oh, add a hardware regs listing, an online version of the atari compendium, and lots of humour! Last ingredient: the irc, when we get to ridicule ourselves when we exchange our experiences from our capers
-
jens, indeed we should I think I have added my MSN address on this forum, so go ahead and add me Chris: Just added Cruise for a Corpse to my TODO dir
-
jens, Well... from what I heard the TT is a strange beast (in the sense of different hw or some stuff missing or added etc), so at present I dunno if I can actually fix something for it. I can only try (remember, I'm not a magician ) So, if I understand correctly, you're offering me a TT in exchange of me patching a game for it? If yes, what would the game be?
-
Oops, link corrected. Sorry Anway, thanks for the links, but I think that both are way to expensive for me. And if I were to add the shipping costs, I think it would be more expensive than any of my 2 falcons! Finally, considering that there is a new project that is compatible with the Phantom accelerator for Falcons for about 35 euros makes both upgrade kits bloody expensive in my humble opinion. Like I said above, I got that mste as a sort of donation, mainly to have a machine for testing D-Bug stuff, not for my collection. So call me cheap, but I think I'll pass. So, my current thought for it is to use my external JAZ drive I have for my falcons.
-
Erm, 100 euros? I got the mste for free Anyways, maybe I'll connect the jaz drive (1gb) I use for my falcons as an external hard drive... I'll try to post a pic of the motherboard when I can. EDIT: I just uploaded some pics, so have a look if you want! Full motherboard Left half (bigger) Right half (bigger)

Well, I can't dare make a guess, but let me just show you a couple of emarket.gr auctions: http://www.emarket.gr/lot.cfm?lotID=6195838 - c64 for 70 eur http://www.emarket.gr/lot.cfm?lotID=6199158 - c64 for 90 eur I could go on like this for hours. I'll just say that they should be damn expensive if people dare call the c64 'extremely rare' So if any of you ppl want to make a fortune out of old HW just sell them to Greece

Hi all, Like I wrote in another post, I got one Mega STE for free recently! Its previous owner has mentioned the following shortcomings of it: - TOS 2.05 - No 1.44mb floppy and no AJAX chip, so this needs to be replaced - No hard drive - 2mb of RAM I can fix the last one by addind 2mb from my STE, and the first two are not a big problem to me atm. So, that leaves me #3. My wish is to add an internal hdd for it. I have a couple of scsi disks. My current problem is that I can't understand how I should proceed. I opened up the case but I couldn't find any socket or cable for inserting a hard disk inside my mste. Can anyone assist? I'd like to have at least a hdd installed, so I can test future D-Bug releases and generally test my stuff on it. Also, I plan to use it as my imaging machine. Cheers fo any advice!
