My OLD TV, you know...the ones with a UHF/VHF option, died a while back. I'm trying to hook up my 130XE to a TV that has only AV/composite hook-ups. I have one of those cables that plugs into the 'monitor' jack and splits up into red-yellow-white/composite plugs but I can't get anything to come up on the screen. The system was working great the last time I hooked it up. How do I hook up my 130XE to a TV?

didn't the Colecovision use the Z80 ?

i would remake ALL the arcade translations using as much RAM as i possibly could. donkey kong/jr would be my first two games. then probably food fight since it was awsome in the arcade but pretty much sucks on the A8.

i'm not a programmer (not even close), but it seems you could use probably half the old code. EA doesn't start from scratch every year with the Madden series, they just improve graphics, animation, and AI for the most part. hey TJB, let me know when Rateroids is finished...i'll be in line to buy a copy!

donkey kong jr is just horrible, looks like someone was given very little time to complete it.....or they sat a chimp down in front of a computer and he just happened to come up with something that looked like it could pass for donkey kong jr !!

i bought my 800 around '83, by then most 800's had 48k. back then it was just too easy to pirate anything we wanted. however, i would have spent money on arcade translations that took advantage of 100% of the machines abilities. if they did it in the begining little junior would have insisted he got an 800 for Christmas if ALL the games looked better than the comode 64 so there would have been a larger installed base to buy the better looking games. just wishful thinking i guess.

i know that they made the 16k versions so EVERYBODY could play (BUY) them but if the right programers took their time and used all of the memory available couldn't they make perfect/almost perfect translations? DOS takes up about 8k i think....that leaves quite a bit of memory for someone who's talented. couldn't this have been done?

i have a 130xe with a happy drive. i tried holding down the "option" button but it still wouldn't load. maybe if i put my 1050 in unhappy mode ??? any suggestions??

i have Bounty Bob on a disk file but can't seem to get it to completly load. i've read that it only works on PAL systems.....WTF???? does anyone have BBSB on a disk file that actually works?

try wico and other rare controllers on ebay, i got two brand new wico controllers with both y cables for less than $70 not to long ago.

back in the day i had a cartridge dumper that spit the cart out on a disk.

my 800's color went black and white all of a sudden, i replaced the GTIA chip and everything was fine.

you're killing me!!! i just bought a 5200 for $65 and a multi cart from atarimax for $129 less than a week ago!!!

if i can't down load it to my 5200 multi cart what emulator can i use to play the ROM?
