Just filling everyone in, either Friday or Saturday is the day that the system gets hooked up at her house. I got my little cousins hooked on the emulator so they'll love to play the real thing. One more question. On that list from the 2600 FAQ, what is a large/medium ®? It doesn't say R for reserved anywhere on the cart so what r is ® referring to? EDIT: Ok, I found the ® next to the word Atari at the bottom but what makes it large or medium? [ 03-12-2002: Message edited by: Mark Riley ]

Lead as in those flat connector pieces? I don't remember those on the 65XE but I've been too lazy to check.

the rarity list? Basically I want a list I can put into wordpad or works or whatever to have as a checklist and I can't seem to copy paste the rarity list into wordpad.

I come home today with abotu 6 packages in my door. Wrestling tapes, Atari games and a slip for the grandaddy of them all, picking up the 7800 at the post office. 4 oclock comes and I drive down to the post office and pick it up and I've been giddy ever since. Tomorrow my grandma, my mom, and I all go to my cousins house tomorrow and even though it's well before her bday, I think I'll give it to her there. I put everything in a big box and wrapped it up nice and tomorrow, I find out if it works. I don't have a spare tv to test it on in my house because I've got about 7 systems hooked up in various rooms. Any comments? I wanna add to this thread after it works or doesn't (in which case I will flip) so bump it up with whatever you wanna ask or say. I'll add in all the carts I've gotten in so far so you can check out my taste in a few minutes.

Ok thanks, I didn't know the difficulty switch was even on a 7800 since I didn't get it in yet.

Let's say I wanna play Kaboom on a 7800 but want to use the small barrels. Can I do this on the 7800 or is a 2600 or vcs or whatever needed?

I bought something that was marked wrong so I got it for 5 instead of 7 bucks. It's got 3 coaxial plug thingies for the cords to go into and an A-B switch on the top of it. I haven't gotten to test it yet but hopefully it works fine.

I'm up to 2271 with the mouse and I can't wait to get the paddles and the system so I can test it out with that game.

1894 and I'm spent. The mouse seems to suck but I don't wanna make up excuses. I haven't used a paddle since before I ever used a mouse so it'd take me a while to get used to that I'm sure but I'm gonna go for 2000 on here and even more on the VCS.

So far I've gotten 1452 on the emulator with the mouse. I haven't used a paddle in so long so would that be easier than the mouse? I'm definitely getting this game, it's very addictive. Cool, I didn't really look too much into the site but I will after I'm done playing a little decathlon. i can only get 10,500 on that game and I tried the pole vault trick to no avail.

There should, if there isn't already, be some place where we can submit high scores of games using the emulator. I say the emulator because there's probably some way to send a snapshot or something to prove that the score is legit. It can be just for fun but prizes do rule. I'm sure someone else could go further than what I'm saying but this is like a start. I want somethnig to aim for, especially without any more of those Activision patches available for winning

I was thinking of the first game that was only Pong, not the Odyssey so it must be that Atari one I've seen on Ebay a few times. I tried getting it for 20 but I was outbid.

Like most everyone else said, you don't just come across a landfill. Not many people walk in the desert and trip over an ET cartridge half out of the ground lol. If anyone has an extra sealed ET they'd like to part with, I'll pay shipping. I always wanted a sealed one of those. Ebay people can be crooks at times. Well not really, the bidders can just be uninformed.

Thanks but they sold this cartridge in stores? What an Xmas present lol. Anyways how much did games go for when they came out? Were they 50 like nowadays or 60+ like the 16 bit era or less?

I got the rom and all I could do is change the design on the screen but it had no purpose. Does it have to do with programming or something or was this just another reason why there was a crash in 84?

I have everything except that. It has a slide switch on it to go from TV to computer or something like that. I have the AC Adaptor and a black box that I dunno what it goes to.

The Puerto Rican one was great but was taken out so no syndication. Get it off of Kazaa and while your at it get basically any other one from there as well.

7.50 for just the 75 games makes 10 cents a game. That's awesome right there never mind everything else.

Before I get the track and field one, will that work fine for the game and will it work on the 7800? I don't wanna buy it and have no use for it.
