Where can I get this Starplex or the Track and Field controller? Also, does it work on the 7800? I'd assume it does but I don't know if they are.

You guys forgot the obvious unless I missed it...eat up a friend's house. Also, drink water since it fills you up and you won't wanna eat as much if you have to buy your own food.

That can't be what I think it is...I thought Ram it wasn't a porno game. Maybe I mixed myself up but yeah that looks like it'd be pretty popular with the ladies.
-
Oooh I love Space Harrier. That and Hang On kept me interested in Shenmue although Shenmue 2 is so much better. But the best part of Hang On was the music that definitely couldn't be recreated on the 2600. Maybe the 7800 but not our lil bugger.

Virtua Fighter VCS. Sure it would be just a tad unfaithful and suck real bad but I'd love to see someone try something like that. I'm guessing it would like that game called Karate.
-
I had a trackball that worked with my 65XE but I have no idea where it went. I know the joystick from that is the same as a VCS one so I assume the Trackball is the same way. I'll have to find or get that again then because I don't wanna destroy anything by playing it.

My icon says it all. It's Atari exclusive I think and Combat was the first game. Runners up include Frogger, the guy in Decathalon, Basketball player #2, and the Jungle Hunt guy. Why #2 you ask? I just wanted to be difficult.

Yeah just use a boot disc. I use the Innovation brand one but the Gameshark CDX and DCX boot discs should work fine.
-
I played it on the emulator and I love it but I don't want to have to use the joystick. Like is there a controller that has one or two buttons I can push instead of jerking the joystick around? I spend too much time doing that alr...so how bout them Red Sox.

I got Stella and it worked great. I don't know how off the sounds are but they aren't bad at all to me.
-
She never had football but she had soccer. The three players in triangle formation, the intensity of...well it was the best we had pre NES days but it was a cool game and if I get to play it again, I'm sure it will hold up.
-
I saw the box on the site and it looks stupid but cool at the same time. Anyone know how it is?

My old P1 75mhz played PCAE perfectly but this comp is a P3 933mhz and it runs everythnig too fast. Other than MoSlow which slows the whole machine down, is there an alternative? I'll still buy the carts of course but until they get shipped or until I find them, I want to play them if I can. I've also heard of the emulator Stella. Would that run correct speed on my PC?

Shenmue 2 became an Xbox exclusive in the US because Gates paid Sega a lot of money. That screwed over a ton of people but I imported the European version since it is still in English.

Yup that is the one but it's a wonder the coin op was plugged in for 15 years. I always wanted a coin op...well I wanted the 8 car link up for Daytona

I already won the auction but thanks anyways. I'm sure there are other people on the board who might need a Woodgrain. I don't wanna mooch too much over here lol.
-
About how much will the game go for? I don't think I know anyone who would play it with me but it does look really cool. I'm sure there are people who would spend more than me and I know you aren't taking reservations yet but I'm curious as to whether I want to save up for it. Sorry if someone already asked but I didn't notice it.

I've heard of the ST Magazine but was that just about the computers or the 2600? I'm not interested in info about the comps unless it's the 65 XE because it seems like no one knows what it is. It's not the same as the XEGS or the XEP which never came out. It was like a Keyboard with a game slot in the back. It hooked up to a TV but if you turned it on with out a game inside, it would go right to BASIC. Before this goes off topic any more, the mags I want are for the 2600. I love old video game maagzines, they bring me back to when I had no responsibilities...well I don't have that many now since I'm a young one out of the group here I think (18).

Sweet, another Rhode Islander. Cumberland here myself but I spend enough time commuting to Bryant College. Do you know of anywhere that has Atari games in this area? I used to go to the Taunton Flea Market before I got into this but it since burnt down.
-
I'll be sure to fill everyone in. Her birthday is in May but once I get it and test it(just to see if it works) then I'll give it to her. Then for the next many many hours, those games are gonna get played and I'm gonna search for more. I just don't know of any pawn shops or thrift stores in the RI/Mass area so if anyone can help there, I'd appreciate it. There used to be the Taunton flea market but that burnt down the Saturday after 9/11. Yes I think it was connected too j/k.

I bought the Atari Anniversary edition and the sticker was worth the price but the interviews and other archives are fantastic. Oh yeah, the games. That's the point of it, well I like the conversions so it's good enough for me but my aunt has the PSX version and it's like impossible to see anything in Asteroids although I don't remember having that problem.
-
At least if you're in the RI area and get Fox 64, I dunno about other syndicated affiliates. Also you can just d/l the episode. That is like my favorite episode up there with the game of Risk and the 10 cent bottle deposit show.

Sweet thanx, KB. I used to be on the IGN DC boards and they were like a family. I'm on a Virtua Fighter board where they're ruthless so I just wanna make a good first impression. I just don't like asking questions that seem stupid to the big time Atari nuts since I'm new to this but I've been reading the past 5-6 pages so I'm just trying not to repeat what others say.

She never had Warlords before but I'm getting since it was part of a lot. The only Warlords I've played is on the Atari Anniversary edition for Dreamcast so ok you're on

Is there anyway to play Decathalon without ruining the joyst

Thanks, I had heard of the site from here but I forgot about the hyphen.
