About Basketball not having 3 point shots, I don't think real life basketball had the 3 point line til after 1978 but I might be wrong.

Well it ended up being cheaper for me to just get the 7800 which could play the 2600 games. She cared more for the games than what the system looked like so I figured that I should go for the cheaper system and get more games that she would like to play.

I know that it's supposedly bad to use rubbing alcohol for NES games but I really have no idea what to do for Atari games. I mean cleaning the inside but the outside of the system or the label of the game is also what I'm curious about. Please no sarcasm unless you say it is because I don't know much about this stuff.

I'm getting a few 7800 games since they came with the system. They are: CENTIPEDE/MS.PAC-MAN/ONE ON ONE/HAT TRICK/XEVIOUS/BALLBLAZER/DONKEY KONG/WINTER GAMES/GALAGA/IMPOSSIBLE MISSION/TOWER TOPPLER/DARK CHAMBERS/ ASTEROIDS/CENTIPEDE/POLE POSITION II/JOUST/DIG DUG I guess I'm getting 2 Centipedes with the auction but oh well. I'm also getting Food Fight but that's more for me since I have it for my 65XE but I don't have the Computer to TV Switch.

Well she always loved her 2600 but I can't find one of those cheap enough compared to 7800's which to me are better since they play more games. I'm talking from a gamer standpoint, not collector. She loved the old games because it was easy to get into unlike now with 8 buttons per controller. Her favorite was Circus Atari so I made sure I got that first. I just need paddles and I need to actually win the 7800. I'll be using it more than her I'm sure but she still wants one so I'm getting somethnig out of it too.

They can include Colecovision and INTV and other systems but I'm on a big nostalgia trip and I can only think of Atari Age(or somethnig like that)

Ok, my grandmother had a woodgrain VCS from the late 70's early 80's. I don't know if it was a heavy sixer. One day the system wouldn't work right. The screen rolled and went black and white on random occasions. So she throws it out. Unfortunately she threw out the 2 paddles, 2 joysticks, and about 25-30 games for it. Now I'm on a mission. It's her 74th bday soon and she still talks about Atari once in a while. I bid on ebay for a brand new non woodgrain 2600(not jr) but it went for over 200 bucks. I can't afford that one. So I've been going after 7800's since they go cheaper and are nearly fully compatible. I'm desparately trying to win this auction. I've also bought a few loose cartridges and some have the box and/or manual. I'd be getting all this stuff that I win by May which is when her bday is so this could be the surprise of her life. Of course, I would be playing it everytime I'm up there but I'm actually doing something selfless to an extent. I'm new on these boards so don't flame me out. I figure trolls hardly exist on a non big 3 message board so I'm free of being flamed. I just love talking about games and I'm too cheap to get IGN Insider.

What's the biggest screen you've ever played Atari on?

21 inch tv up my grandmothers house back when her system worked.
