Sigh... I've never started a topic in the 2600 section. And the 2600 is my favorite Atari system! :-( Anyway, does anyone here know of a place (perferably in North Carolina or Georgia.) where I can get Human Cannonball? It has a rarity of 2 on this site, but I cant find it anywhere!!! I know a lot (a LOT) of people dont like this game, but I LOVE it!!! Maybe its because I'm really good at it... And what about Telepathy? I know its only a prototype (a really FUN prototype...) but is it possible there is a manual thats just not on this site? I want to know if that Telepathy guy has a name. I'd also like to know the point to the game...

Got a RCA Studio 2 yesterday...

quote: Originally posted by George Gray: Pierre, I don't think anyone doubts you. It is just surprising that Space Invaders would be in a legit cart from RCA. They stopped producing them in 1977. Space Invaders did not come out until 1979 or 1980. There WAS a CHIP-8 version of Space Invaders that Paul Robson (I think) had written a few years ago. There was even a PacMan written in CHIP-8. CHIP-8 btw, was the 'language' used in the Studio-II. It is a cross between assembler-like and tiny basic. Very crude, but you could write full blown video games in something like 512 BYTES of ram. Amazing. Sweet! I wonder if there are any ROM hacks... -
Another old console deal...

Soooo sorry, it sounded like porn!!! (I dont like porn, but ya know "Dance Fantasy"...) I remember the first "bad" Atari game I played. My dad got me (it didnt have the cover) "Beat 'Em & Eat 'Em", thinking it was a fighter or a shooter... only when we turne it on, it was porn! DEMONS COME OUT!!!!!!! (ok, kiddin' on the demon part.) -

Old games are the best! -
Its an alright system, I hate to admit it, (because I LOVE old games!) but I only played it for 2 hours and got sorta bored... :-(. But then I hooked up the ol' RCA Studio 2!!!! Hehehehe! I love old games!

quote: Originally posted by Tempest: You should take it, that's a pretty good deal. On ebay the sytem goes for about $30 and boxed ones can go for $50 or so (depending on condition). Games range anywhere from $5 for the common ones to $50 for the last Zircon only releases. Keep in mind this is one of those systems for collecting only! You won't catch yourself playing with it for more than a minute or so. It's a pretty poor system. Tempest HOLY CRAP!!!!!! IM GETTIN A DEAL HERE!!!!!!! . He HAS the box!!! He he he! I AM the maximum game collector! (or at least the maximum deal-getter.) -
The same guy that offered me the FairChild Channel F has another offer. I'm kinda embarrased to say... *blush* but I dont have a ColecoVision! (phew, I got it over with, I got it over with, I got it over with...) Anyway, he's offering me a ColecoVision with Centipede, Dance Fantasy (I would like to know if this is a "dirty" game or not... its sounds like it and I dont like those games!) and Defender, for $45. Should I buy? I DO like Colecovision...

Yeah, bowling is pretty cool. And yes, I DO have Space Invaders. Is it possible the guy that sold me this gave me fake cartridges? I dont think its THAT likley, I mean, its a little block that shoots things that resemble the aliens for the Atari version... I think its space invaders. THe cartidge says "Space Invaders". If I could find a screenshot, I'd put it up to show... but I cant find any! (d'oh...) -

Pierre LeFrance replied to Pierre LeFrance's topic in Classic Console Discussion
yeah, but I still love old games :-)! -
Someone just offered me a FairChild Channel F and 7 games for $25. Should I buy? I don't really know how valuable this thing is... it seems the older the system, the more I love it!

I got an RCA Studio 2 yesterday, its a cool system! I like really old stuff like that. Does anyone here know of any really good games for it? All I have so far is Black Jack and Space Invaders. [ 03-08-2002: Message edited by: Pierre LeFrance ]
